i believe the new rule could produce more unders,but they had rules that favored the defence last year,but it didnt seem to stop them much.i bet over alot in arena ball,so i hope it dosent hurt the scoring.onside the hell out of it.i dont think it would hurt quarterbacks like clint,crieb.

Only time will tell how much this new rule will affect scoring. Today there were over 100 points scored and 6 interceptions. Normally INT's lower scoring and they still popped 101. Every 1st and goal visit converted into a TD tonight and this was where the new rule was going to assist defenses. To early to determine and the sample size is only one game. In this scenario early under bettors won and late over bettors won. We will get some more sample data tomorrow. Good luck with your total wagering!! :toast:

Sabine: I am thinking what you are, I do not believe this will affect the totals dramatically at all. Even if it does, the books will adjust within a couple of weeks.

Scott you are dead on and know what you are talking about. I don't think they will ever do "A" cause you associate Arena with the high man in motion, part of the unique game. They may come around and do "B" in the next year or two.
Guru: Team totals were a joke and so easy to beat, I don't know of any books that allow this and if anyone finds a book that allows these wagers, please let us know.
The 1st quarter dogs have value in games that you feel will be close, especially if the dog gets the ball and scores on the first possession, normally your bet is like 75% after scoring.

Guru do you know if all 3 turnovers were from 4th down or picks? Also do you know of any real time stats live for score keeping? Arenafootball.com use to be reliable and now unless you want delayed stats or skewed it seems like a real time tracker is hard to find. Let me know how many of those were picks or if all were 4th down. Even with the 3 stops, they still scored 101 points which was the main point to begin with about the LB rule. Also were you in the chat room last night at Fan?
Shocker that could easily hit but I wouldn't tease totals unless it was with Pinnacle and you get 7.5 for -110. In this scenario if you like Dallas to win, you can find -190 on the moneyline and parlay it with a 9-10 point favorite in a ball game and get close to -120. Much better value but I will leave the decision to you. Your suggested wager can win easily, I lean to both over and Dallas if I were forced to tease the same game. :toast:
Great information, thanks. I thought so cause I listened to the live radio feed and do not recall anyone being stopped in the 1st and goal (turnover on downs). Picks are a little different.
Guru: Yeah these live stats are always off, they use to be more accurate 2 years ago, I guess funding for real time live stats and scores has probably cut.

Lol, I bet one curling match in my life cause my friend who is in the industry said it was a lock, Canada Vs Germany, I got -165 ended up closing at -425. I think you know the rest of the story. 0-1 in my curling career and it was painful to watch the match not understanding the rules....... Railbird, how much do you really know about Arena football? If you knew and followed line movements you would know that SJ was a dog and you can't get plus points and parlay a dog unless you are willing to pay 10 cents a half point at Greek and then you get SJ +7 -360. If the LA Avengers tonight were -360 on the moneyline I think you would know enough about betting to know getting even money on this bet is tons of value. I believe you are to short sighted to evaluate this. Also you are a little behind as there has already been discussion in this exact same thread you respond in about the Linebacker rule. %^_

They sale you points for a reason. you would be better off doing 3200 to win 8320 in a parlay. hard to like laying 360 on road. hard to like teasing games when the totals are triple digits. good luck anyways
