I got it over 102 when it first came out.

Also took GR -1. Zwick starting for CMB.

Good to know I am in good company. Missed out on 102 but still feel good about the 103 number. 105.5 now, at least they are showing some respect. :toast:

Just based on what Scott just said about Zwick starting for Columbus I am going to jump on the boat and lock in with the Rapids who can clinch a playoff birth with a win and an LA loss. Not to mention GRR offense is on fire and Columbus can't stop toddlers from scoring.

Actually, I misspoke.

Zwick is NOT starting. BUT, he will get time. Coach Kay has said that he wants Zwick to get meaningful playing time and not mop-up time.

Nagy will start, but Zwick will play, and how he plays determines how long he plays. Zwick has not taken a snap since the 2007 Hula Bowl.

Even if he plays two series and gets yanked, that may be enough for GR to win. And if he stays in and plays well, gotta figure eventually he makes a few mistakes that GR takes advantage of.

Still, seems to me like CMB treating this like an exhibition game. And for GR it is anything but. GR needs this one bad, especially with a trip to NO on deck for a finale.

I'm also on the over 102 train in the Dallas game. That's a RIDICULOUS line and should be at least 110. I lined the game at 122, for what it's worth.

I lined DAL total at 112 and GR at -5.5.

GR on the road scares the hell out of me, but it just seems that CMB has finally thrown in the towel now. GR needs this one and will do whatever it takes to win. CMB seems more interested in seeing what Zwick can do. And Lord knows CMB's last two efforts were a bit less than stellar. 22 and 29 point losses.

Wow, you guys know how to get the books to up their lines.

Most places have 106' and TheGreek just went to 107.

I mean it really is ridiculous. The Dallas offense hasn't been stopped by anybody since Dolezel AND Pettis were both back healthy in the lineup, and the New York offense still features one of the best QBs in the league's history. Yeah, NY's offense has proven that it can take mental dumps on the road, but the Dallas offense at home should easily record 9 TDs in this one. I'll take my chances that New York can get the other 7.

Hmmmm, maybe GRR 2nd half would have been the super sharp play. Columbus' defense is probably the worst in the league and GRR is not far behind. Hope he gets in the game sooner than later. Nagy can hang and potentially win against a GRR defense. Will play it by ear and hope Rampage come out ready and up 1st half with middle options.

Have to wonder why it only opened at two points with all that said then.

You can't read into the lines that these guys make up. They spend very little time researching when they create their lines because it's a relatively small market. Normally speaking, if it looks fishy and smells fishy, it's probably fishy, but in this case it's pretty well justified. The Rampage are historically AWFUL on the road, and the National Conference teams (which includes Columbus) have dominated the American Conference teams (which includes Grand Rapids) this year.

If Cmb was in the Central and GR was in the East, with the exact same two teams, you'd see Columbus as at least a touchdown favorite.

The linesmakers do not keep up or pay attention like we do. No way they were aware that KC was starting Quincy Carter last week. How else do you explain a 3-11 team starting a new QB being a 4.5 point favorite vs. a 7-6 team? We knew it and pounded the line down to 1.5.

This week they obviously are unaware that CMB is planning on battle-testing Zwick, who like Carter, has never thrown an AFL pass. And at least Carter played in the NFL and AFL2. Zwick has not thrown a pass in a year and a half anywhere.

So I can see exactly how this game is gonna go. Nagy will go back and forth with McPherson matching TD's and they will go into half either up or down a score. Coach Kay will look for the best time to get Zwick into the game but it will be a competitive game and knowing the loser Kay is, he will send in Zwick with the game in the balance. Zwick will come in and look really bad, get stopped or really struggle to score or get picked off. Rapids will take the lead late and coach Kay will want to win his 2nd last game of the season and throw Nagy back in. Columbus will either win or stay within 5 points. Call me Mr. Cleo after the game or say I was completely off with my assessment or previous experience with coach Kay.

I'm going for the middle here.

Official Play:

Columbus +5 ($1100 to win $1000)

Any reason why the Dallas line took a dive?

Down to 5.5 at Greek

Cause Scott pounded the hell out of NY Dragons. His syndicate hit Grand Rapids hard too, hence why he told me I should have waited to get 5.5!! :toast:

I did not bet NY. I bet the game over 102. I did not bet the side. But I know people who did!
