The King presents Arena Football the Season

Nothing is unbelievable in the AFL. I was at a game last night where MATT SAUK scored 60 points. Matt Freaking Sauk. New Orleans scores 29 against Georgia, then goes up against Columbus and scores 83.

Absolutely anything can happen in this league. "Bad beats" aren't terms that are used often. I was in a position last night where I was real close on 4 things.

Orl/Arz under got screwed because Orlando converted FIVE 2-pt conversions in the 2nd half.

KC/Chi didn't go over 104 after a 62 pt 1st half.

TB/Geo DID go over 108, but if they didn't, my Predators would've been in much better shape for the playoff picture.

And I was on that crap at the end of the SJ/LA game with the under as well.

But these things happen ALL the time in the AFL. You really just have to get used to them and line shop as KC suggested. The "key number" in this league is whichever one you're sitting on. No such thing as a "3" or "7" in this sport.

After doing some interesting research, Utah has not been down after one quarter since week #7 against LA where they were down 23-21. Since then, they have either lead or been tied after one quarter. Couple Utah's offense against a horrid Rapids defense, I am all over the Blaze 1st quarter.

Yeah, they had the wrong start time up. I pinged the line manager when I saw your post and they took it off. Anyone that would have made the bets after 2pm EST would have just got a red flag in their account and a cancelled wager so it would have been pointless to pound it.

6-1 weekend and we all know how that loss happened with 80+ points in the 2nd half. Might nibble on something for tomorrows prime time game just for some action. Will post once I lay down lumber. Good luck to all!! :toast:

Well after doing research on this game all morning, I initially leaned on the 1st half over but I am not going to risk it with these teams that can literally crumble and score 7 points in a half.

Colorado at home has only been down once this season at home after one quarter and that was against LA. Even when they lost to Chicago by 13 at home, they were tied after one. I was impressed with the way the team started last week against a defense like SJ who has been playing great lately. Going against New York at home on prime time, I do think Dutton will be ready and they will come out firing on all cylinders. If they get the ball 1st this is a -200 bet. If they don't get the ball, it ends up being a -120 bet. With that being said I think -135 has tons of value.

Rob, I have never bet with BoDog but I highly doubt they would have 1st quarter lines. I bet mine through the Greek and I will assume 5Dimes would have them too but not 100% sure. Good luck with your wagers this week!! :toast:

Gonna give everyone the Coles notes version as I type this in my hotel room. Looked at the card and liked 4 games and here they are:

Dragons looked good against Crush but who wouldn't? Voodoo seems to have found their offense against probably the worse defense in the league and they were at home. I like what I see in Garcia of late and Wimprine has struggled badly when facing real competition. I think New York at this stage is decent competition.

New York -1 ($550 to win $500)

Tampa had no business losing to Georgia and if they hung on to win, they would probably be considered the hottest team in the league. Orlando seems confused. Why on earth would Gruden not start Stafford who has led his team to a winning record is besides me. Tampa at home and playing in my opinion a bad defense should be able to pull off the victory by one score.

Tampa -2.5 ($550 to win $500)

Call me insane or retarded but I think Ed Hodgekiss is slowly coming to his senses and the reason why I say this, he let Cumbie play the entire game. Utah has been playing great football recently but that still doesn't warrant one of the worst defenses in the league laying 10.5 points.

LA +10.5 ($550 to win $500)

Now to discuss my largest wager of the week. Dallas has gotten their mojo back on offense since the return of Clint. They have averaged 63.5 points in their last 4 games. Philly has the best offense in the league and with the key injuries in their secondary I see this one being a score like 59-55 or in the 60's. I know some people might be against me on this one because of the defenses but Dallas has given up points but more importantly scoring a ton. They will have no issues scoring on that secondary at home and Philly will do their damage with that offense.

Well, Orlando's got no choice but Stafford now since Eaton has been lost for the season.

Make sure you post the link here cause I am interested to see who you are on with the other games. I thought majority of the other games with the lines the way they were are coin flips but I would be interested to see if something stands out in your eyes that I did not catch. Good luck this week!!
