After 5 straight winning weeks, Lang/DeMarco finally drop 1.

DeMarco says he has taken a leave of absence since March 27, but he keeps putting out a daily blog. Lang is nowhere to be found now with his videos. Lang and Budin continue to be on the same side of the games. You have to wonder who does what over at that site and what is really going on. If you are betting against "Lang," who are you really fading? From DeMarco's site:

"Effective March 27, I have taken an extended leave both as General Manager of this site and as a handicapper. Having moved to Las Vegas the week before the Super Bowl, I now find myself shuttling between Nevada and the East Coast to care for my parents, who are both seriously ill.​

At this time, handicapping games is the last thing on my mind. Gambling and winning money is fun; running these sites is a chore. In both cases, I simply don't have the time to devote my 100% attention to either and I refuse to compromise. And ultimately, family is more important than either in times of need.​

​

Nothing will change at these sites. There's no other company in the industry that could ever dream of operating a full-time staff of 5 for Customer Service to handle your day-to-day needs. And, an acting General Manager will be named shortly to oversee the company.​

​

For those of you that enjoy reading my blog, I will continue it through Monday's title game and it will then be manned by someone else until I return.​

Hopefully I will see you again sometime this summer.​

How to come up with a bona fide "Lang" pick on the day.

With DeMarco gone, it's hard to determine whether we should be fading or following right now. DeMarco was on a tear and brought a pretty nice winning streak. Whoever is making picks now looks like they are still coming with the small 5 dimers. The best move is to probably sit back and watch which is what we have been doing most of the time lately anyway since no one is posting the picks right now.

I think its more fun that the picks are not posted. It pretty much kills the Fade threads though, we now have the haves (the Lang buying group) and the have nots. No one gets the pick unless they pay. Budin is smiling over this arrangement. But no real humor, cool cartoons or guys dancing. The other Fade thread now has the flavor of a seventies style smoke filled Vegas sports book, very somber and business like.

Whoever is making the Lang picks, is writing the GM's blog now. Yesterday we had some new wording that went along with the pick, "Line Value Lock," I thought that might of been about an underdog. But alas, its talking about a -135 favorite. The Lang picker seems to be a pretty square handicapper:

Read the GM's blog from yesterday. He talks about two baseball games, an earlier one and a later one. The later one was the Lang pick, the LA Angels. Makes sense they would go with the later play, to get the most signups on that days game. I released the Boston Red Sox which was the other game the Langer picker liked. I will wait for the pick to come out on the service thread or wait for the GM Blog for today to come out to release the Bet Brandon Lang pick for the day:

I would look seriously at jumping on the fade here. The Lang handicapper now, with his own style of naming the plays, is very much a square bettor. The NBA Revenge Game of the Month was a terrible pick, of the two revenge games I saw on the board, the Thunder was the better pick only giving 2 1/2 points. This new Lang capper is prime fade material! If you had to give out that Pacers pick at -11, at best it should of been a 5 dime selection. I doubt this new Lang capper will last long.
