Sounds good. Just a view details.

Venmo would be the quickest way to send the money. I believe i can send $2,500 in one transaction, but i'll need to double check if this method works for you.

Other things, All 3 of us will need to PM our cell phone numbers and I will also need him to text me a screen shot of the $4,500 in his Venmo account.

Lastly, i need you to PM me that you take full responsibility for the money. So if whatever happens to this guy and the money disappears your responsible for paying me if you lose the bet or if this bet ends in a tie.

If that all works for you, we should be set too go. Please ASAP this so we can work on transferring funds before tip.

I'm not guaranteeing the money if he stiffs us. But he's been a treasurer for forum contests and has held a lot more than $ 4,500

Also, I'm not asking him to provide any financial data. I am willing to provide a copy of my pay.pal transaction to him.

If you have a better suggestion for holding the funds, let me know

I'm also net giving you my cell phone number, sorry. I have enough issues already with people from this forum leaving me fraudulent bad reviews and an occasional crank call.

Understood. Too much risk risk on my part then. And I'll have to pass. No hard feelings obviously.

If you want to send money to someone i suggest then obviously i wouldn't need the security but not understanding your motivation for this as we might as well then just have a gentleman's agreement and pay up after the bet is settled.

If you want to go lower and build up some mutual trust going forward i would also be for that.

LMK :)

Well, Chauncey did say he's willing to hold the money and you can Venmo him, I think the entire forum, especially those who participate in the forum contests can vouch for him.

He's the sole treasurer on all the month to month contests, he and I are co-treasurers for the much larger football contests. But I can appreciate any concerns anybody would have

Willie, i think you you can understand my apprehension in that even you don't 100 percent trust the guy as you aren't willing to guarantee funds. Also, in all due respect, i don't care if other members can vouch for him as this is a bet between only you and myself.

With that said, if you want to do a gentleman's agreement, or if you simply want to lower the bet until we have built a trust with each other I would be fine with that...

But i am simply not comfortable sending $2,500 to a person i don't know without the safety measures i asked for(even then it wouldn't be hard to screw me over, but it' something)

LMK, but no pressure to make this bet and we can simply move on.

I'll do 250 / 200 without posting up

You pay me $ 250 if the C's win

I'll pay you $ 200 if the Bucks win

Winning the NBA Championship in a completed series is the only way to get paid

If you accept in this thread before the Bucks tip, we're on

PS: I do trust him, otherwise I wouldn't send him 2k. However, I'm not here to risk $ 4,500 in the unlikely event something happens

And there's no reciprocation

Tom Seaver's death was announced today.

This is the PERFECT time to quote something he said years ago, before he had dementia:

"STOP BABYING THESE PITCHERS!"

You were absolutely right, Tom. Rest in peace. cheersgif
