Wilbert is my all-time favorite running back (Duce is close but Montgomery was the man). I was at the Patriots game in 81 I believe when he had the longest run from scrimmage (at the time...before Dorsett did his run). Like 89 yards or something he just busted right up the middle and it was see you later.

That late 70's early 80's team was my all time favorite (though the current one is right up there).

I know everyone remembers what happened last year when Green Bay played at Phila. Being a Pack fan i was just amazed how easily they could lose the game. I don't even care to bring up the 4-26 or the Favre into becacuse that's the past. It still annoys me because Packers could have been in the SB that year without a doubt. Right now Packers have a really solid offensive team; Favre, Green, Driver, Ferguson, Walker, Bubba and the O-Line. If the O-line holds like the usually do and Favre is feeling good it will be a good game. Everyone knows that Favre has a problem with being consistant, him throwing intos is a given but a problem with that is the D. Giving a good team an easy possesion is the worst thing that could happen to the Pack. That's why Favre/Green combo has worked so well. Packers are much of a running team which helps Favre because he is not forced to FORCE the ball like he usually does which in that case causes intos. With Green getting first downs Favre is able to breathe and take a shot throwing the ball deep. To me a W is a W and a L is a L Packers beating Lions by 3 in the last min is fine and losing to the Eagles by 25 is fine too because i have seen the Packers at the worst and best and every sunday is like box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get.

It is all silly, people want to bash a team because those below them suck? That is pretty bad reasoning for marking down a team and in the end probably will cost some bettors.

couldnt agree more. we heard it dozens of times the year the Rams won the superbowl and started off 7-0. "the rams havent played anyone, they arent that good, they havent played anyone"

It makes no one a star to make any predictions in the NFL playoffs. I will not be surprised to see any playoff team win the Superbowl. On any given day....

they havent played anyone arguement may work in college, but not in the parity driven NFL where teams like the Patriots have even hoisted the trophy

What worries me more then anything else in a Green Bay-Eagle matchup is the coaching. Sherman blew the game last year when he went away from the run.Thats our biggest handicap in my mind is Sherman having Favtre thro when its not to our advantage to throw it. In other words have the run set up the pass. Just like Elway did at the end when he had TD
