Blue,
The Bills have won 6 of the last 7. Including, a win over the JETS.

They've set the Bills record over the past four games for most points over a four game stretch (remember all those K-Gun days ;)), they held Cleveland to 17 total yds last week and have 5 Special Team TDs.

This is a very dangerous team Blue.
ok, then after this week when the bengals slap them around, i want to see cincy in the top five of the power rankings.

I just can't past Bledsoe as the QB, that defense and McGahee a re great but Bledslow and his INT collection cannot be overlooked ...I wouldn't put the Bills on any list of teams that could win a playoff game just yet...the again they would be dominating the NFC!

I'm not saying we're better than the elites. No question Pitt, NE, Indy, Philly are the forces in the league, but after that the Bills could play with anyone.

those power rankings are a little off. Both have TB and Car, but Atl is ahead of both by a mile, and they have already beat Car once and split with TB. The 27-0 game Atl had 5 turnovers, so that game is a throw away in my opinion. While they are not anything great, they are certainly better than TB, and even still ahead of Car right now. I am sure this weekend will maybe settle that. But one thing is for sure, they have already made the play offs.
But power rankings for the most part are meaningless. They will change from week to week for te most part, and have no bearing on gambling whatsoever. let alone actual team strength. NE might lose and go from everyone's SB winner to a joke team in just a week. that is how those things go. You are only as good as you last win.

Everyone had Seattle going to the play offs before the season. Everyone was rushing to bet them over 7.5 or 8 at odds. I said way back when they would be lucky to be 500, but got laughed off the board. They might beat Arizona at home to get most guys a win at the -200 they had them at 7.5 and a push for the guys who got 8. Also when the NYG started out so fast people had them penciled in. Now they are a joke, and they have their "star/future" guy in there. Maybe it wasn't all Warners fault?

Rankings don't mean dick. Phi is a joke and always will be. They will probably win a play off game at home, then get beat at home like they always do. But no matter what, I don't think they compare to a few teams in the AFC.

SD is probably the most underrated team there is right now. They should have beat the Jets in Week 2, but 4 turnovers cost them that game for sure. They lost a legit game in Den when Denver was playing well, and got hosed in the Atl game, when they were up 17-7 there was a major no call that gave Atl a TD and momentum, and they lost that game 20-21.

Since then they have rattled off 7 wins and should win two of the last 3, maybe all three if they can outscore Manning, but that is a definate nice tune up for a playoff game.

Everyone loves NE and Pitt, but SD can score against anyone, and other than maybe Indy they can probably outscore anyone. Weather is the only question with them, just like Indy. Can they win outside late in Jan at either NE or Pitt?

Attn Eagle bashers: you can bet "NO" at +168 on the Eagles to win the NFC at Pinnacle.

Wow, that's messed up. That seems to envision Philly being around -380 ML in bith games, or roughly averaged. So that'd be like a 8 or 9 point spread. That seems rather high.

:monkey: I feel like Jim Breuer in Half Baked when he gets fired from the record store...

"Don't worry...I'm not gonna do what everyone thinks I'm gonna do"

I think you all know my position on a thread like this. It's Week 15 and we're 12-1. The only team that will defeat the Eagles from now until after the Super Bowl is the Eagles. The Falcons? Maybe next year. The Packers? Dial D for Defense. The Panthers? Stay tuned for another episode of ER. The Vikings? Imploding like the Vet.

The AFC can be as good as it wants to be. The fact is the Eagles only have to worry about 1 team from that conference and the only time they will have to worry is in Jacksonville. So the AFC can have the utmost confidence in being the best conference for now. Personally I only fear one team in the AFC and that's New England. Why? Because they've been there before and they know what it takes. The birds haven't been in the bowl so it will be a new experience for the nucleus of this roster. The key additions have been there and they know what it takes but there are a lot of guys on this team that will feel very good about making it and that's not good enough. Hopefully the new guys can get the old guys prepared for how it will be in the time leading up to the big game...assuming we are there at the end.

The NFC may be weak...but if the NFC is so weak why aren't the Birds muddled at .500 with the rest of the conference? Why did they beat the Ravens and Browns and the Jets, Bills and Dolphins last season? Why are they in the NFC Championship Game the last 3 years? It's not because they are a mirage. Has the NFC been this weak the last 4 years? Maybe....maybe not. Why are they 19-5 ATS in their last 24 regular season games? Is it because the books have the same sentiments as most of the Eagle detractors? "They aren't that good" yet they beat all of their similarly weak NFC competition by double digits save for last week against Washington. You want facts? 2 losses to the Steelers and Pats in the AFC in two years. They are the gate keeper and the key master in the NFC...far from a mirage.

Nothing else to say...the birds are a damn fine football team and I'll be damned if I am going to change the way I think about this team this year. The Eagles won't be in this position forever...I remember sitting through plenty of losses before Donovan got here. I might as well enjoy it now while they have most of the league by the cahones. :103631605

I think if anything the Eagles to win the NFC is a bit low. Current Sagarin ratings put them at 9.6 points better than the Pack and almost 10 points better than the Falcons, before adding in home-field advantage. With the public betting the way they do I would guess an NFC Championship game at the Linc would yield a spread of 11 over the Pack and 12 to 13 over the Falcons. If the Panthers somehow miraculously get there they probably will be about the same as the Falcons.

I continue to believe people are throwing out the baby with the bathwater on Philly. Just because the bottom teams in the NFC are poor doesn't mean the Eagles must be a poor team too. After all how come no one says the same things about the Colts? They play in a weak division and haven't exactly beaten anyone good this year either. They play zero defense and yet people are so gaga over Peyton's numbers they rave about the team. I would rather take an Eagles team that can put up some points, but also stop some opponents as well. With the Colts it is all about one side of the ball. Not to mention where is the talk of the Colts never getting it done in the playoffs?

It is all silly, people want to bash a team because those below them suck? That is pretty bad reasoning for marking down a team and in the end probably will cost some bettors.

E-a-g-l-e-s...

Fishhead, you live in Tampa??...I went to college about 30 minutes North of there...

Anyhoo, I agree with SportsBet, as I couldn't be happier with how the Eagles have been on top of the NFC the last several seasons, as we did have a few lean years, not too many though, after the Buddy Ryan/Randall Cunningham era, which gave the local radio shows plent of fodder to talk about for months on end...Just need them to finish the job this year and get that :monkey: off their backs...

Chuck, Don't need to bet the No at +168 when you have the Pack at 30/1 ATL 14/1 Seattle 15/1, Carolina 50/1 to win the NFC. I've also hedged some already on the Eagles so its not all for waste. The regular season means nothing Eagle fan. You have already proved you can your share of games the last 4 years, but watch McNabb get the shakes again when it counts, especially when the line breaks down like its going too, because your losing to many players to injury. McNabb just doesn't throw a very good ball when the pressure is on.

The offensive line will be fine. It's the defensive line we have to worry about.

Wild Bill... If you throw out the high/low games for all NFC what are the numbers? Mr.NFL has that feature but I didn't buy this year.

I agree with WildBill. Eagles will be heavy favorites in both playoff games. The only team the Eagles have to fear is Atlanta because of Vick.
