Hey altice and Hope1, can you make public your plays before the matches start?

I always have, always. I'm not one to talk about my unposted plays, only did so today cause Altice mentioned he was on Peer, and I wanted to let him know he wasn't the only one sweating that match out, lol. Felt terrible about Camille yesterday so I backed off from posting today.

Looks like your havin' a great day!!!!! Hold on Fedossova!!! routin' for ya!!!!! :103631605

Bummer, Fedossova was up a break, then was broke twice in a row to lose 7-5 in the third. That sucked... Oh well, there's tomorrow.

Hope always posts plays. I hope Hope doesn't mind me hijacking threads but as my friends will testify I like to whine a lot. Plus gambling has taken away the joy of every sport for me except for tennis, bases, and college football. Needless to say, there are a lot more people to talk bases and college football than there is tennis and Hope seems to enjoy it too. I would like to think I post relevant analysis. Someone asked about the Mattek/Hantuchova match yesterday in the offshore forum. For the record, I did post play to Li before the match today as Pinnacle will always have games right until the first match goes off the court. And i whined about Peer at the start of the 3rd set cause she looked to be in danger against a player as worthless as Muller on hardcourts and it's a lot of chalk that I lay. I have a high degree or respect for people who post plays cause inevitably someone will whine like a jackass. Don't really care if capper wins or loses as long as I feel I am on the right side. But if someone loses bad, people who have nothing better to do whine and whine and are ungrateful. I am sure people go in Hope's thread everyday and haven't thanked him once which is sad cause he's not the rah rah type who wants to attract attention to himself. In fact part of my lucky run is playing stuff that Hope likes and that I like too, but I am not one to post plays cause I would feel terrible if someone lost betting chalk that I bet plus I am probably not even sharp.

Good luck on your matches tonight.

Nice picks on Golovin and Lindsay. I was leaning towards Radwanska so I am glad that I laid off.

I hope Hope doesn't mind me hijacking threads

your not hijacking anything my friend. This ain't 'my' thread Altice. I wanted to open a tennis thread as this sport isn't discussed much at this forum. If folks don't contribute and discuss, then what's the point? No point in me posting to myself.

I really appreciate your input, and thks for sharing your thoughts.

I don't like much tomm, gee, in contrast to today where i liked everyting, lol. Waiting for the ladies lines, if nothign nice it's day off tomm.

hell of a match with Andre and Marcos, just crazy. Special stuff. What happened to Hingis? wow, surprising as she just doesn't lose to inferior players. I thought Loit got a raw deal by organizers__ got off the court PAST 12:00am on Wed, then has to play Maria today in an afternoon match? that's too much for the relic, no surprise that Maria creamed her. I'm not impressed with Amelie, I think she goes down soon. Henin and Sharapova look unstoppable.

Hope,

A day later, I still can't believe what I saw last night. It was so memorable and the match had everything. Regarding today's card I was with you. I didn't like any of the card today. I only played Schnyder today and she got bageled in the 1st set. Wish I sat today out.

I was really happy my girl one today. Zvonerava is dangerous and Elena doesn't play well against her fellow Russians. It's kind of unnerving that she hasn't played a 3 set match yet.

Anyhow, it looks like rain all day tommorow and who knows further, so I bought grounds passes for Sunday and if tommorow's rained out, I could see a lot of crazy matches. And they will put Elena on an outside court as she's playing Rezai so I am real excited about that as I doubt that match is put on Ashe or Armstrong. You can stil sit at Armstrong. I just think there are some rows reserved. Monday, I think I will try real hard to get good seats in Ashe cause so many intriguing potential matchups exist like Roddick/Agassi, Serena/Ivanovic/Mauresmo, Sharapova/Pierce. Maybe my bets over the weekend will dictate what I can afford Monday night, but I plan to get real good seats at Ashe for that day(all contingent on the weather).

I would be more excited but the weather has tempered my excitement. Not good for Agassi either. He's looking at back to back matches if tommorow is rained out and right now that looks very likely.

The Poet--sorry couldn't get to you, hope you were on the right side of that Moya match!!

freerain-- how ya doin'!!!!!!! thks for the post savecan. Gee, starting to get cold here in Toronto, but we had a pretty good summer, no? I hope your summer went well. I was able to get alot of golf in, so i'm a happy camper, lol. Played Wooden Sticks in Uxbridge, great course!! Too bad we couldn't get together at The Rogers Cup, sad what happened to BF's. Maybe next yr!!!!! Gl my friend, again very nice to hear from here.

Alttice -thks for the post. Patty is insane. Great match by Elena, wow--she is playign well. How about Shahar, are u kidding me?? down 6-3,6-7,1-5 and wins 7-6 in the third holding off 5 mp's. If that's not the definition of a fighter, than I dont knwo what is

i'm playing, not sure if it will go off cause of rain_

A Chavetadze (RUS) -165 over V Azarenka (BEL)-- should be a good one as Victoria is playign well. That young lady can flat out hit it, she's already 5'10 and only 17!! HOwever, so can Anna and the RUssian is most certainly the more stable, polished of the two and has the better serve. Anna has not dropped a set yet and enters New York playing her best tennis of her yougn career: reached the semi's at Montreal beatign Petrova, Dechy and Peer. She can handle big hitters as evidenced by her two wins over Petrova, a win over Ivanovic at San Diego and takign Vaidisova to 3 sets. Her most impressive fact in this run of hers is her serving- that gal is hard to break.........let's go Anna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTA FINAL at Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Oct,8 2006. Outdoor hardcourt.

I Tulyaganova (UZB) -153 over T Sun (CHN)-- a wonderful story is unfolding at Uzbekistan. Homegrown hero Iroda, via a WC and only her second WTA tournament in 2006 has reached the finals. Just 4 years ago at the age of 20 she had potential 'star' written all over her. She pierced the top 20 in the world with wins over: K Clisjters, J Henin-Hardenne, D Hantuchova, M Pierce, J Dokic (top player at the time), P Schnyder and E Dementieva. Blessed with a BIG serve and groudstrokes she could obviously handle the games elite. Then a right elbow injury derailed her, couple that with an impatient father and lack of funding she was 'gone' for nearly 4 years. Is she back? At Kolkata, India her FIRST WTA tournament in '06 having to go thru qualies she reached the semi's. This week, in her country of birth she reaches the final. This is a tournament she HAS WON in the past, winning in 2000. She has not dropped a set beating Yakimova, Tanasugam,K Bondarenko, and O Poutchkova (ranked inside the top 60) to reach the final.

The final will likely to be very good one, as T Sun is an experienced, patient player. Known more for her doubles prowess she does have some quality wins ytd in singles (beating Zvonareva and Schyder). However, at the age of 25 she has never won a WTA event, infact has never made it to the finals. Lets see how she handles powerful Iroda IN UZbekistan.

gl to Iroda tomm, she goes for tour win #4, first since 2001.....

2. M Bartoli (FRA) to win 2-0 over A Nakamura (JPN)- 1.38 to win 1......brilliant stuff this week by Bartoli. Aiko inspried run on home soil comes to an end this evening. Since the US Open , in her wins, Bartoli has won 10 of 12 matches via 2-0.

Hope, good to see posting again.

If I had seen this earlier, I would have been on Bartoli with you. She has been playing like a champ. Unfortunately, looks like she was slow out of the blocks today in winning the match in 3.
Great story on Tuly. Whoa, the price is now -167. Still, how can one not play the comeback kid, if only for a unit? Would be nice to view that match after all the build-up.

good luck with your plays

thks Presto, i'm sure glad you didn't touch those two plays.

Posted plays in a slide, one may want to consider fading.

Given the hour, no time for thorough right up

1. J Melzer (AUT) +5 games -117 over A Roddick (USA)-- how can I turn my back on this? Match is being played on indoor hard, fast surface. Jurgen is in sick form, possibly best of his career, certainly having his best year of his career. He is fresh off a finals appearance at Metz last week, handling BIG servers M Fish and M Safin (indoor hardcourt). H2H does not bode well for Jurgen here, however, if ever a time to topple the big hitting American it's now: while you're in great form and on home soil.

2. M Mirnyi (BEL) +4.5 games -122 over N Davydenko(RUS)-- heck of a lot of games to give the big serving Max. The Beast loves indoor carpet (21-7 since '04 on this surface), the faster the better. He has preformed well in Moscow in the past. And has handled Davydenko well in previous meetings:

forgot to note-the Max play is for 2 units. Here's 'hoping' he can go 6-0 Vs that line Vs Davydenko.....

sure is nice to see Pim Pim play so well. GREAT win over Nadal. He is top 3 in the world in indoor conditions, IMHO. Don't like that line Vs Vliegen tho.

Davydenko wins 6-3,7-5

Unbelievable. Max somehow loses serve 3 times in the first set. Then has double break point in the 5th game of the 2nd set, doesn't convert. Then has triple break point, 0-40 in the 11th game and does not convert. Proceeds to lose serve in the very next game to blow the cover. Don't post a play it wins, post a play it loses. Crazy.

go agasint Melzer on the games line and you have a winner

enough

nice call bro!!!!!

this thread desperately needed a winner, thks for providing it.....:103631605

you in Toronto?..my home town, now live in Mississauga. DO you go to The Rogers Cup? I'm there every yr.

Gaudio appears to be in freefall. Shame really--he's a great talent, a BRILLIANT one-handed backhand. A two-cent brain does the man in. Does anyone 'tank' more mathces on the ATP tour than this guy? :pucking:
