Very strong performance by Nadia , Kleaybonava faced a hopeless Tanasugarn in the previous match and I couldnt take much from her results in this outing . I see the younger russian struggle here with Petrova who is better than her in almost every department when shes healthy which she looks like at the moment .

Schwank is on a 20 winning streak but he has to lose someday and I have a feeling it will be today in front of a huge french crowd cheering for their man Mathieu . Schwank played 20 match in 35 days and he should show signs of fatigue sooner or later . Already against Moya in the first round had problems in the deciding set where Moya wasted tons of breakpoints and got broken on his own serve to give Schwank a 5-3 lead .
I think Mathieu will prevail today after a scare in the previous round where he had to overcome 0:2 sets against a tricky Oscar Hernandez but this should give him a huge confidence boost to get a win like that .

Congrats with PHM. I like the guy, and would have felt very bad for him if he choked it away. Alot of talent but sadly his brain doesn't work enough!

You have to give tremendous credit to Schwank, I don't think he was fully fit but a brilliant comeback and the way he saved those matchpoints!
