It's easy to compare the performances of both players this week. Nicolas Almagro is 4-0 ATS, while Carlos Moya is 1-3 ATS. Almagro is playing well and he had a very tough draw, having to defeat Nicolas Massu, Boris Pashanski, Filippo Volandri and Fabio Fognini. His first serve is a great help to save him from the hardest moments of a match and he has won 79%, 95%, 73% and 85% of the points played on his first serve this week. That's pretty good on clay. Also his returning skills have been very good, as he has won 48% of his return games this week, something remarkable. On the other side, Moya has only taken advantage of his experience to win very close matches the whole week but that won't work against Almagro. Moya defeated Lapentti in the tie-break in the third set yesterday, while Almagro destroyed Fognini by 6:1 6:1, so it's obvious who will be more tired today .

Hello again everyone!
As you get deeper into the tournament, it's important not to spend too much energy outside of your matches. So I haven't been doing that much - like last night after the match, my coach and I went to a nearby Argentine restaurant for dinner, then I went back to the hotel and watched some TV before I went to bed. It was especially important today, because after a few night matches in a row I had an afternoon one and wanted to be fresh for it. And everything was working well today. I had a good win over Parmentier and now it's about 5pm and my day is finished already. We will probably go to the beach later and have a swim... the water is cold and it's tough to go in at first but after you're in it's good for your body. I'll probably get a massage at some point today too. And that's about it. The final is at 3pm tomorrow, so I won't really do anything else tonight! I just want to relax. Maybe I'll go to the hotel and call my friends at some point too.
It's going to be a tough match against Zakopalova - she has been playing well this week and it's always tough to beat her. She has been in so many finals so she will have as much experience as me as well. I just want to enjoy this moment because it is not every day you get to play the final of a tournament. But I feel my forehand, backhand and serve are all working well, so hopefully I can keep playing like this.

Flavia Pennetta is playing extremely well this week and she is yet to drop a set: 6:2 6:2 vs Greta Arn; 6:4 6:0 vs Mathilde Johansson; 6:3 6:3 vs Kaia Kanepi; 6.2 6:0 vs Pauline Parmentier. This will be the 9th final of her on a WTA tournament played on clay and the 7th played on the American continent! The Italian player really likes the conditions and her performances in here are showing exactly that. Her opponent will be Klara Zakopalova, who is known for her terrible attitude on court. If she starts losing today, it will be very hard for her to get back on track against such an experienced player. The Czech player didn't have to beat anyone with the level of Pennetta, while Pennetta had to beat some players with the level of Zakopalova. The Italian player is too experienced to not take advantage of this opportunity to win another title .
