Well , I almost died with so much $$$ on the line and two choke artists on the court . This was my last WTA bet because I oficially retire from betting on women tennis :ohno: Gotta make up for that loss in Henin vs Sharapova match so I will just pound another fav today against a player who should be nervous being so deep in a Grand Slam tournament and who I think doesnt have many weapons to stop Rafa from getting to the finals here and setting up a battle against N1 or N3 in the ATP race .
When Nadal wins I will have to rethink my tennis betting strategy because betting like this I would have been broke already few times if I didnt have money from my poker winnings . Maybe I will start picking matches with odds over 1.70 and not bet more than 10 units or try my luck with handicaps and total games even tho I didnt do great with them lately when I missed few times by just 1 game .

i cannot place a tiebreaker-bet, but if some of you can: this Tsonga guy played at least one TB every match...chances are good he does it again (even if going hopefully down)

Lets put half of my poker bankroll on the Finals and see what happens here . I cant see Tsonga beating another TOP guy . I lost huge amount of dough with Nadal over Tsonga but Nadal is a lame sucker who got schooled few weeks ago by Youzhny 6:1 6:0 . After beating Federer I see Nole gaining even more confidence and I am not sure how Tsonga is gonna beat him today unless hes like 90 % on his first serve .

Nice one Brainiac... :toast:

I don't want to overstep the line here, but you gotta be more careful with your staking bro. You're a good capper, and it's a shame to see you lose big because of one or two games.

Preview by Andre Silva

David Marrero has finally realized that he has too much talent to continue wasting it. It looks like he worked a lot in the off-season, as in the first tournament that he has played this season (La Serena), he reached the final, losing in straight sets to Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo. In that tournament, he came from the qualifying rounds and he defeated Nicolas Lapentti, Vasilis Mazarakis and... Adrian Garcia. Due to his low ranking, he had to play qualifying again in this tournament, where in the last round he took revenge by defeating Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo in a three set match in the final round of the qualifying.

The major weapon of Marrero is his experience. He is already 27 years old and he has played a lot of tennis on clay during his whole career. He knows when he should attack and when he should use his good defensive game to outgrind his opponent. This will be his first match ever on a main draw of an ATP tournament, but as he is facing a player who he has already defeated this season on clay and also in Chile, I can't see a 27 years old player being nervous today. Also the fact that he is 9-1 this season (all matches played on clay and already in Chile) will give the motivation he needs, so he can strike the ball well today.

Adrian Garcia's career is already ten years long and he is beginning to not being the player he once was. Also he was never an 100% clay courter and some of his good results came on hardcourt. Actually I think that he had played more outside clay, he could have reached the Top 100, a place that he has never reached and it will be for him to reach it during the rest of his career. Garcia's physical shape isn't also as good as it once was and for example the last five matches he has played, all of them went to a third set. Garcia could only win one of them and against a player with a way lower ranking than him.

Garcia has never done well on Vina del Mar and only twice he has reached the second round. The first one was against the veteran Galo Blanco and the second one was against a very young Paul Capdeville. On the other times Garcia has played the tournament, he has always eliminated in the first round and most of the times he lost the matches in straight sets.

Garcia will try to get revenge from the loss at the hands of Marrero already this season, but this seems unlikely to happen in my opinion. Garcia isn't exactly on the prime of his career, while Marrero seems to have got a momentum that only a good player will be capable of stopping him. Garcia, even playing at home, doesn't seem to man to do the job in here. Take Marrero to win in here.

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class="font14b verylightBlue" width="80%" colSpan=10 height=5>Gonzalez has won this tournament twice and been runner up on another occasion. This is the second meeting between the Chilean pair, the other late last year on the hardcourts of Beijing went to Gonzalez with the loss of just 3 games. Capdeville has a useful first serve but his second delivery is very vulnerable against a player of Gonzalez's power. I would expect Gonzalez to dominate the second delivery of Capdeville and the younger man could be in for a difficult ride. The explosive power of Gonzalez should keep his rival pinned back behind the baseline and another straight sets victory beckons.</TD></TR><TR><TD class="font14b lightBlue" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #3972b9 1px solid; HEIGHT: 5px"><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=5></TD><TR></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD><TD class="font14b lightBlue" style="BORDER-RIGHT: #3972b9 0px solid; BORDER-BOTTOM: #3972b9 1px solid"><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=5></TD><TR></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD><TD class="font14b verylightBlue" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #3972b9 1px solid" width=5><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=5></TD><TR></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD><TD class="font14b verylightBlue" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #3972b9 1px solid" colSpan=10><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=5></TD><TR></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

And two other matches I researched and they should be bankers too.

  • Gambill played 7 matches in the last year and lost them all retiring twice . I think he should consider retiring from tennis .
  • Dorsch isnt a great player but what he has was enough to defeat Gambill twice in their previous meetings . Last match took place just 3 monthes ago .
  • Dorsch was in finals here last year and I think he shouldnt have problems with Roddicks buddy .

  • Pedersen is a 20 years old player but I dont think he has some sort of hidden talent in him . This guy is 10-13 in his career with wins over people I never even heard of .
  • On the other hand we have a very successful challengers tournaments player who has a record of 38-12 in his last challengers matches . He won 7 titles in the last 12 monthes , last week he won another tournament beating 5 people in straight sets . Taking out Stepane Bohli who beat Benjamin Becker 6:0 6:3 in the same tournament and in the finals Lu owned Vince Spadea 6:2 6:0 .

LU is as close to a BANKER as it can get , Pedersen shouldnt have no chance at all in this match unless Lu breaks his legs or something .

Mahut should have no trouble against his opponent.

Watched Darcis against Muller yesterday and both played horrible , made me think I am watching some 10 years old play . Schuettler looked decent against Gabashvilli in the previous round .

5dimes has way better line on this match but only 100 $ limit :ohno:
