My pick is Under 33.5 games

10 units to win 8.5 units at betfair

Preview by andre

If there is something Nadal can do is whip their opponents when they have nothing to hurt him. That's the case of Jarkko Nieminen. To beat Nadal on a fast surface, you need to keep hitting powerful strokes on a consistent way and never let the Spanish player dominate the play and having possibility of use his good shot selection. Well, that's something Nieminen can't do, as he is a soft hitter. These two players have faced each other at Wimbledon in 2008, also on a quarter final, with the game being under by eight games and an half. The line was at 37,5 games and Nadal won 6:3 6:4 6:4, so he only needed 29 games to beat Nieminen. That's the number of games I expect him to need today.

One of the characteristics the top players have is to understand that they need to save time on court to have the necessary energy in the later stages of the Grand Slams. The quarter final matches are the round that makes the bridge between the first matches, while are more to adapt the player to the conditions of the Grand Slam, to the later stages of the tournament, where even the top players need to play their best to get the win. In the past two years, Nadal has played 6 GS QF matches and those matches ended up being 1-4-1 O/U.

Also Nieminen's matches against Top 10 players outside clay seem to be pretty straight-forward and we rarely see any drama on them. Those matches have also gone 1-4-1 O/U in the last season. Nieminen doesn't have nothing to hurt super players like Nadal and that's why he is 0-13 SU against the current Top 3 (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic).

I don't think anyone has doubts about the winner of this match. Even though Nadal isn't as strong on hardcourt as he is on clay, he will need have problems in beating players that can't send him to 5 meters behind the baseline and just let him dictate the play. About the under, I don't see a big discussion. Nadal won't want to spent a lot of time in the other with a potential semi final clash against Mikhail Youzhny (a player that has easily defeated him in the last three matches between both players on hardcourt) and Nieminen is clearly tired, after playing 5 sets in the first round, 3 sets in the second round, 4 sets in the third round and 4 sets in the fourth round. He has also played in the first two weeks in the season and he reached the final of Adelaide in the first week of the season. So, he must be running out of gas right now. Their last match on Wimbledon ended up 6:3 6:4 6:4 and that's something similar that I expect for today's match. Take Nadal to win and the match to be under today.

2 matches parlay :

J.Coetzee/W.Moodie vs M.Damm/P.Vizner

My pick is M.Damm/P.Vizner to win

Bryan/Bryan vs Bhupathi/Knowles

My pick is Bryan/Bryan to win

10 units to win 9 units at gamebookers

Really like this parlay , Bryan brothers are close to a bank and I actually dont think anybody will beat them in this tournament , yesterday they won 20/20 of their first serves before their opponents managed to get a point on their first delivery , you can see that brothers are out there to win the whole thing .

I dont like the way Coetzee plays , he is a horrible player and their opponents are very experienced doubles players who should be able to take advantage of Coetzee and secure a win here .

Here another doubles matches parlay but this one is going to be a WTA wager .

A.Bondarenko/K.Bondarenko vs C.Black/L.Huber

My pick is C.Black/L.Huber to win

+

J.Jankovic/B.Mattek vs A.Medina Garrigues/V.Ruano Pascual

My pick is A.Medina Garrigues/V.Ruano Pascual to win

10 units to win 6.3 units at gamebookers

Black and Huber lead to the head to head 2-0 . They are 1 ranked team in the WTA and I dont think Bondarenko sisters can surprise here .

Jankovic has to play Serena today and I am not even sure shes gonna play this match but gotta try anyway because her and Mattek shouldnt have many chances against one of the best teams on tour who won the doubles competition in Hobart last week and have a 30-13 doubles record playing together .

My pick is Justine Henin to win

100 units to win 58 units at betfair

What a match up for a quarter final. You could be excused for thinking it's the final. Maria Sharapova - there is no doubt - has been the form player this tournament. She has beaten a multiple Grand Slam winner in Davenport (who'd won 3 of her last 4 tournaments) losing only 4 games, then beat capable top 50 player Vesnina losing only 3 games, and absolutely embarrased another compatriot in the in-form Elena DEmentieva losing only 2 games. Maria's serve has been tremendous this week, often finding cheap points to get her out of pickly situations. Backing that up has been her controlled aggression, but at the same time maintaining her incredible force and angles off either wing. She is moving well, is fully fit, and has all the confidence back that she seemed to drop last year just before she turned it all around in the end of year c'ships. In that tournament, she had chances to win the final over her nemesis Justine Henin who she plays here. But the Belgian number one, as she always does, found a way to win and knuckled down when she needed. Justine has a deceivingly good serve despite her lack of height, and has trounced nearly all her opponents this week. She is a fighter, but at the same time is often clinical with an ever-stylish single handed backhand, and a forceful and penetrative forehand. She is the best mover on tour and makes her opponents hit one extra shot, but the best thing about her is she can quickly up the tempo and turn solid defense into cruel attack and punish her opponents. Both players have not spent much time out on court, but how much will the mental disadvantage play on Maria's mind? Maria one their first ever encounter back in 05 when she was world number one, but since then has lost 6 out of 7 matches, and has been beaten 12-4 in sets and 91-65 in games. It's a scary stat, but you feel if she can't beat her in the form she's in now she never will. Has the recipe for a 3 set match, but it's hard to pick against a player who's as mentally and physically perfect as Justine.

Shara was just too good...definitely not Henin's best performance though, I don't think it mattered though...Shara looks ready to win this entire thing.

Well , this hurt me a lot , I mean Henin got schooled big time , never had a chance there . I still have some money left from winnings in other sports and had great week in poker so I am gonna add big plays today and I am gonna bounce back today big time .

Clement/Llodra vs Coetzee/Moodie

My pick is Clement/Llodra to win

10 units to win 4 units

30 units to win 11 units

Both placed at betfair

2 good singles players and awesome doubles team with 61-25 doubles record when playing together against a decent doubles team but horrible players . After Bryan brothers lost yesterday french duo has a great chance to win the title here and I cant see these guys stop them .

my book www.2betdsi.com offers parlays on tennis.this sounds like a winner to me,I don't understand the comment about no chance in hell.these are solid picks.

2betdsi is affilated with bookmaker, the american version of betcris, so those two probably offers parlays as well.
