I will take a very close look at Tommy Haas vs Ivo Karlovic match .

Ivo looked tired against Clement today and was broken in the second set and lost that one but won first and third set 7 : 6 . Haas in straight sets win over Monaco today . Haas should be much fresher player in this match . Ivo has been playing a lot of matches recently and could be worn out . There is a 1.61 on Tommy Haas at betfair at the moment . I do not know if I will play this tho . When Ivo is playing odds are very high that there will be atleast one tiebreak which could go either way .

Also like the revenge factor in Kuznetsova vs S.Williams . They played last week and Kuznetsova beat her in 2 sets but has been playing very bad in Moscow so far . Beat G.Dulko in 3 sets and today with a win against a fellow russian Vera Dushevina .
Serena did beat Nicole Vaidisova in 2 sets today . Serena is Number 7 in the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Rankings so she could use some extra points to stay in the best 8 and play in the season-ending event .

YTD : 6-0 + 24.16 units

Zurich Open , Round 1 ( Start time : 11 am , possible delay )

vs

Agnieszka Radwanska Shahar Peer

My pick is Shahar Peer to win , 1.58 at betfair 10 units play !

Head to head

<TABLE style="MARGIN-TOP: 10px" cellSpacing=5 cellPadding=0 width="80%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width=110>03.09.07</TD><TD>S. Peer - A. Radwanska</TD><TD> FT </TD><TD>2 : 0 (6 : 4) (6 : 1) </TD></TR><TR><TD width=110>14.05.07</TD><TD>S. Peer - A. Radwanska</TD><TD> FT </TD><TD>1 : 0 (6 : 0) (2 : 0) </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Both players improved a lot this year and are now to be found in the later stages of many tournaments .

A.Radwanska did already play 3 games on this court in the qualifiers .
Her results were not impressive tho : 3 set win over Salerni who has 2:9 hardcourt stats and is to be found playing on clay courts and a win over G.Arn which doesnt say much either . Radwanska played her 3rd round qualifiers yesterday and lost in 2 straight sets to the italian Karin Knapp who is just another clay court player .

Radwanska has a very weak second serve and Shahar will take full advantage of it today . They have a similar style of play but everything Radwanska does Shahar can do it better .

Shahar Peer with a close loss to the later winner of this tournament Maria Sharapova last year in the round 2 but she has improved a lot after 2006 . Sharapova played great last year so it would be very hard to beat her in this match .

2007 Singles Record: 46-21 Shahar Peer

2007 Singles Record: 35-20 Agnieszka Radwanska

Peer did face way tougher competition tho where Agnieszka still lives off her upset win over Maria Sharapova at the US Open . In the next round she lost in 2 straight sets to the player she is set against today and it is Shahar Peer . Paar did not give the young Agnieszka many chances in their US Open match up and won 6 : 4 6 : 1 . This match was just 1 month ago .

Good luck everybody

With you on that. Any views on the Federer (-5) against Ginepri?
Would also like yr view on the -3.5 handicap for Peer.. odds are at 1.45 at my book which i will not bet on

I usually do not touch Fedex unless he plays Nadal on clay then I am gonna bet on Nadal . Federer 100 % will win 2 : 0 sets and -5 looks good here because I see no way how Ginepri can get as close as 6:4 6:3

Peer -3.5 ? Odds on her to win are higher :think2:

Not sure whether you misinterpreted me lol.
Odds on the -3.5 AH for Peer is at 1.85, while the straight win is at 1.45

You guys are much more experienced than me when it comes to tennis as i only follow the grand slams, so thanks for all the advice.

Do let me know if you hear about any updates on the federer match, especially injury news about federer though i doubt there will be. Will most likely be taking the -5 AH on federer

gotcha , dropped to 1.50 at betfair too . Got Shahar at the best price available in the early morning .

-3.5 is hard to call here so basicly - 3.5 would mean Shahar has to win 2 : 0 sets here to cover this unless one set will end up like 6 : 2 for Shahar and she will drop one set 4 : 6 and win one more set but not on the tiebreak . If you want to take -3.5 then I would rather bet on 2:0 for Shahar but I will not touch it .

Federer - 5 looks great tho . If he wins 6:3 6:4 you get your money back right ? If so this is a no loss situation in my opinion . Ginepri has no tool to get Federer to a tiebreak and neither can he break Roger .

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a tiebreak actually, even though peer has won the last 2 comfortably. Play them together a couple of times and there's bound to be a couple of tight sets. Even Federer plays tiebreaks.

Radwanska is also capable of pulling off small upsets throughout the game which might make the match just a little closer.

Yea its a push if Federer comes on top by 5 games exactly, and the odds are at 1.70 which are decent for a -5 AH for the world no. 1. I see a comfortable win for Federer barring an extraordinary performance by Ginepri.

Federer will probably break him like 4 times .

Shahar is strong mentally and should be able to beat a player she is 2 : 0 against head to head . Yesterday Agnieszka only won 1 point on the second serve out of 10 against Knapp and Shahar will take advantage of it too. Shahar does like to wait for her opponents to make unforced errors and I think Radwanska is the right person to play against for Peer because Agnieszka likes to keep the ball in play too but she makes more unforced errors than Shahar .

more to come from Radwanska in future, for today Peer's the one to beat.

Just saw the totals line on the federer game at 19.5. I'm surprised to see the under at 1.95, given that the -5 AH is at 1.70.

Any views as to why? And which would you go for.. if i'm taking federer to win at -5 and i'm confident that it will be in straight sets then i feel i am much better off with the totals.

This is even though i have lost my past 2 totals bet on federer during the Fed Cup.

has the line been set wrongly?

Fedex can win 6 : 2 7:5 or 6:2 7:6 and you will loose your money on over/under but I think both will win today - 5 and under 19.5

I'll probably play safe and go with the AH, the past 2 matchups have seen a tiebreaker and a 7-5 set.

Sorry to clutter up yr thread btw.

Adding a two matches parlay :

Andy Murray vs Juan Ignacio Chela

and

Daniela Hantuchova vs Dinara Safina

My picks : Daniela Hantuchova and Andy Murray to win

5 units to win 5.50 units at befair

Will update my record later . This one really hurt me . Shahar only won like 10 out of 30 second serve points . What a terrible performance :ohno:

I really wanted to parlay Murray with Haas, but I was too late. He really should beat Chela.

Good luck with the play!

Andy did really impress me against Stepanek . Chela is a different type of player but I think he will not get many chances to break Andy today .

Really disappointed about Peers loss . I have never seen her serve so bad and Agnieszka the other way around .She won more than 50 % of second serves which is really impressive for her . I guess this is just my luck . I wanted to play Hantuchova against Safina instead of this match but ended up picking that one . Can not blame anybody but myself :ohno:

I will make this up tomorrow tho .

Bookies :finger:

P.S : Maybe we should work together . You know your stuff and I think we could make a killing .
