Tebow will play in the NFL. For a long time.

Expected to come in here and see Tebow alibing, or his supporter's scurrying. Anyway, order has been restored to the universe, and hopefully he'll fade to obscurity next year....

Tebow speaking tomorrow morning at an outdoor Easter service very close to where I live. I may have to brave the crowds and check it out.

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- A central Texas church spokeswoman says New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is set to speak to an expected 20,000 people on Easter Sunday.

Tebow is scheduled to address the Celebration Church in Georgetown, north of Austin. Church spokeswoman Tara Wall told The Associated Press that Tebow reached out to the church about a month ago and said he wanted to speak.
People attending the non-denominational service will sit on lawn chairs and blankets. Wall said Friday about 1,100 volunteers are involved in running the event on the church's 110-acre grounds.
Tebow was traded last month from the Denver Broncos to the N.Y. Jets. He's well known for his strong Christian beliefs and often addresses religious congregations.
Wall says Sunday's service will be like "an outside concert event."

Tebow still plays in the NFL? Yep, he has been allowed to throw zero passes - I would have to look at his salary but I can't see him in the league next year - could he keep the bench warm for another year or two? Looks possible but for all purposes he does not actually play in the NFL - at least on Sundays

Tim Tebow is done as an NFL quarterback.
Toast. Nice and crispy.

How many NFL coaches and general managers and NFL teams have to say the same thing before his devoted disciples get it? First the Denver Broncos, then the New York Jets, and now his hometown team in Jacksonville.
“I can't imagine a scenario in which he'll be a Jacksonville Jaguar — even if he's released [by the Jets],” new Jags general manager David Caldwell said Thursday.
Greater football minds than me have figured it out: Tebow’s elongated throwing motion, his happy feet and other flawed mechanics don’t fit the requirements for a starting QB in the NFL.
His great run with the Broncos last season was an aberration: The team scaled down their offense to accommodate Tebow’s liabilities, and let their defense and kicker Matt Prater do most of the heavy lifting.
But Tebow is not a long-term solution.
His only shot would be to come in as a wildcat option, and even that seems to be a possibility that’s not on the table any more.
Tebow’s strength is his ability to improvise, but scrambling out of the pocket and making something dynamic happen isn’t something you can script in an NFL playbook. His ability to extend plays will make him exciting to watch and will energize an NFL offense, but you can’t run an offense on the fly.
"It was either really, really bad or really, really good,” NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said of Tebow last season. “ And I think that's what you're gonna get. If you want the dynamism, if you want the leadership, if you want the kid, you're gonna have to put up with some things that are sometimes ugly.”
It is clear that no one wants to put up with his inconsistencies.
Tebow still has a great deal to offer an NFL team.
But it won’t be throwing the football.

Turns out I hate Rex Ryan and the Jets more than I hate Tebow, so I feel some sympathy for how he was treated in NY.

What skills does Petting Billie have that Tebow doesn't? Anyone hanging on to the thought that Tebow could ever be a franchise QB is delusional, but he is a gifted athlete with great passion and a strong desire to win. Give the kid a shot at RB or use him like a Chris Cooley type player.

I have a prediction from left field.
I have not heard this anywhere but it would not surprise me if my Saints pick him up if he gets cut and moves him to either TE or FB.
This is an area of need for the Saints and Sean Payton loves good character guys and challenges.
He would get both with Tebow.

We don't agree on much except politics. But, here I have to say BINGO, no family in sports I hate more than the Ryan's, starting w/that fat blowhard Buddy, all the way down. Was elated when the Boys canned Rob. BTW his 5 mins are up, no job yet.

Tim Tebow Trade Rumors: New England Patriots Interested In Jets’ QB?

Patriots may be interested in Tebow.

We have a feeling this is going to be a long offseason with way too many Tim Tebow trade rumors to keep track of. The media has fallen in love with the quarterback and they stalk his every move. His fans love him to death and desperately want to know where he will be playing next season.
Currently Tim Tebow is a member of the New York Jets, but we do not believe there is any chance he will return to the team for the 2013 NFL regular season. This past season head coach Rex Ryan refused to give Tim Tebow a chance to start under center even though the starter Mark Sanchez played some of the worst football you will ever see in your entire life. That has sparked many people to believe that Tim Tebow will force a trade out of New York.

Unfortunately for Tim Tebow, there are not many NFL teams willing to take a chance on him. Many NFL coaches and owners do not want to trade for Tebow because he is a locker room distraction due to his celebrity.
The fact of the matter is, Tim Tebow will probably never make it as a starting quarterback in the NFL. However, he can still be a great leader in the league and an amazing backup. If a team is going to trade for Tim Tebow, it will need to be a team that already has an established starter.
That's why the New England Patriots would be a great fit for Tim Tebow's services.
Bill Belichick was rumored to have interest in Tim Tebow when the quarterback was coming out of Florida and entering the NFL draft. In addition, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is the coach who drafted Tebow with the Denver Broncos.
The Patriots could potentially incorporate a bit of the Wildcat into their playbook and Belichick has always loved having high character, hard working football players. Tim Tebow fits that mold perfectly.
