GAME: Detroit Tigers (64-76) at Cleveland Indians (69-70)
DATE/TIME: Sunday, September 13 - 4:10 PM EST
WHERE: Progressive Field, Cleveland, Ohio
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

Both the visiting Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians will be extremely well-rested if and when they play a doubleheader Sunday. The clubs have had to wait through two days of inclement weather in Cleveland, which has forced back-to-back postponements.

The American League Central rivals already had agreed upon a doubleheader Sunday before rain and fog forced them to call Saturday's scheduled tilt, which will be made up at a later date. The Indians, winners of 11 of their last 15, have been waiting for an opportunity to improve to .500 for the first time since April 10. They are four games behind Texas for the second wild card and play their next nine contests at home, including Sunday's twinbill. Veteran Randy Wolf gets the nod in the second game of the doubleheader for the Tigers opposite Cleveland right-hander Trevor Bauer.

TV: 4:40 p.m. ET, FSN Detroit, SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Tigers LH Randy Wolf (0-3, 6.55 ERA) vs. Indians RH Trevor Bauer (11-11, 4.47)

After lasting seven innings in each of his first two starts with Detroit last month, Wolf has been chased early in back-to-back outings. He gave up four runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings of a no-decision against Tampa Bay on Monday, serving up two home runs for the second straight time. The 39-year-old gave up five runs over five frames in his only prior career game against Cleveland.

Bauer rebounded from a rough outing two turns ago to defeat the Chicago White Sox with seven strong innings on Monday. He allowed two runs and two hits while striking out six and working around five walks. The former first-round pick was hammered for seven runs in three frames against Detroit on June 22 and has a 5.91 ERA in six career meetings.

WALK-OFFS

1. Tigers LHP Daniel Norris (oblique) and RHP Anibal Sanchez (shoulder) both threw off a mound Saturday.

2. Indians RF Michael Brantley is hitting .339 with nine RBIs in 14 games against Detroit.

3. Detroit is 20-7 at Cleveland since 2013.

Preview: Dodgers at Diamondbacks

GAME: Los Angeles Dodgers (81-60) at Arizona Diamondbacks (68-74)
DATE/TIME: Sunday, September 13 - 4:10 PM EST
WHERE: Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

The Los Angeles Dodgers attempt to secure their sixth straight series win when they visit the National League West-rival Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game set. Los Angeles maintained its 7 1/2-game division lead over second-place San Francisco with Saturday's 9-5 triumph as phenom Corey Seager continued to impress by belting one of his team's four home runs.

The 21-year-old drove in three runs and scored three while going 4-for-4 to improve to 14-for-30 in his first nine major-league contests. Joc Pederson ended his nine-game home run drought by belting his 25th of the season among his three hits on Saturday. The Diamondbacks had their modest two-game winning streak snapped as they were unable to overcome an early 7-0 deficit one day after jumping out to a 10-0 lead. David Peralta extended his hitting streak to nine games with a solo home run - just his third extra-base hit and first RBI during the stretch.

TV: 4:10 p.m. ET, SportsNet LA (Los Angeles), FSN Arizona

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers RH Zack Greinke (16-3, 1.68 ERA) vs. Diamondbacks LH Patrick Corbin (5-3, 3.32)

Greinke won his third consecutive start and improved to 11-1 since June 28 by allowing three runs in six innings at the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. The 31-year-old Floridian served up two home runs in that outing after surrendering the same amount over his previous five turns. Greinke is 6-3 with a 3.62 ERA in 13 career starts against the Diamondbacks, including a triumph at Arizona on April 12 in which he scattered five hits over seven scoreless frames.

Corbin is coming off a superb effort against San Francisco on Monday in which he allowed six hits over six scoreless innings to win his fourth straight decision. The 26-year-old New York native has not lost since July 24, when he gave up just one run and four hits while striking out 10 in seven frames versus Milwaukee. Corbin owns a 3-2 record and 3.74 ERA in seven career games (six starts) against Los Angeles.

WALK-OFFS

1. Dodgers LF Carl Crawford led off Saturday's game with a home run but exited in the fifth inning with tightness in his right hamstring.

2. Arizona RF Ender Inciarte has gone 5-for-10 over the first two games of the series and is 8-for-14 over his last three contests overall.

3. Los Angeles' Alex Guerrero delivered a pinch-hit RBI double Saturday after leaving the series opener with a strained left calf muscle.

Preview: Royals at Orioles

GAME: Kansas City Royals (84-57) at Baltimore Orioles (68-73)
DATE/TIME: Sunday, September 13 - 8:05 PM EST
WHERE: Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore, Maryland
LINE: N/A TOTAL: N/A

Kansas City and the Baltimore Orioles are trading offensive explosions this weekend as the Royals rapidly turn around an offense that had been sputtering. The two offenses will race to 14 again when the Orioles host Kansas City in the rubber match of a three-game series on Sunday.

Baltimore got a pair of grand slams in a 10-run eighth inning en route to a 14-8 triumph on Friday but let the Royals split the difference with back-to-back five-run innings in Saturday’s 14-6 final. The 22 runs for Kansas City in the last two games mark a swift change for an offense that totaled 15 runs in the previous six contests. Mike Moustakas was the big bat with a grand slam and a franchise-record nine RBIs on Saturday and has knocked in 11 runs in the series after driving in one in his previous seven contests. Wei-Yin Chen will try to slow Moustakas and the Kansas City offense on Sunday while Johnny Cueto tries to work himself out of a rut for the Royals.

TV: 8:05 p.m. ET, ESPN

PITCHING MATCHUP: Royals RH Johnny Cueto (9-11, 3.24 ERA) vs. Orioles LH Wei-Yin Chen (8-7, 3.48)

Cueto started off strong after being acquired from the Cincinnati Reds prior to the trade deadline but is 0-4 with a 9.45 ERA in his last four starts. The Dominican Republic native lasted only three innings against the Chicago White Sox on Sep. 6, allowing five runs and seven hits in the loss. Cueto did not have much luck against Baltimore on Aug. 26, when he was lit up for six runs on eight hits – three homers – and a walk in five innings.

Chen is in a bit of a rut himself with 10 runs allowed (nine earned) in 9 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The Taiwan native surrendered a total of four home runs in those two starts after yielding two in his previous five turns. Chen’s last win came at Kansas City opposite Cueto on Aug. 26, when he scattered three runs and 10 hits across 6 2/3 innings.

WALK-OFFS

1. Orioles OF Nolan Reimold is 3-for-8 with two homers and six RBIs in the series.

2. Kansas City CF Lorenzo Cain is 4-for-9 with two home runs and six runs scored in the series.

3. Baltimore 3B Manny Machado is 7-for-18 with a pair of home runs during a five-game hitting streak.

Astros -105

The Angels have won the last three nights all by the same score of 3-2. Houston has been slipping a bit and needs to get back on track. Fiers has been pitching excellent this season. This should be another great pitchers duel, but I believe Fiers is the better pitcher at this point in the season. Take Houston.

Miami /Washington Under 43

Points will be hard to come by here today as two teams that will lean heavily on their defense this year square off in Washington. The Redskins plan here will be to run the ball, try to control the clock and keep turnover machine QB Kirk Cousins out of third-and-long situations. The Dolphins, meanwhile, have made major upgrades on defense and have been a dead-nut road team "under" the last three years. Also, in the last five meetings between these two teams the under is 4-1, averaging just 32 points per game. Trend is your friend. Take the under.
