Chicago Bears vs. Atlanta Falcons

Bonus Play Over 53.5

We like the over 53.5 in the Bears/Falcons game. Both teams are 2-3 straight up. And in need of a win or risk falling further behind in their division. One of my favorite things to do is tune into the Falcons game each week to see the confused look on HC Mike Smith's face. Usually you can see this look after halftime as Smith looks like he is trying to figure out what the heck is happening. How he is still a head coach in the NFL is beyond any rational thinking.

As far as this game, Atlanta averages 30 ppg and gives up 28 ppg. Bears score 24 and give up 26. Both teams are off 2 straight losses. Making this one an early must win for both teams. Bears can score, have Cutler who can wing it and enough high level players at the skill positions to put points on the board. Over is 16-5 last 21 on the road for the Bears. 6-0 vs NFC teams. 19-7 over last 26.

Falcons have scored 37 and 56 at home this year. Atlanta 9-3 over last 12 home games. No reason to think this game will be anything but a shootout. Average defenses, potent offenses will lead to a high scoring affair. Take the over for your Free Winner.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans

Play - Jacksonville Jaguars

Edges - Jaguars: 8-1 ATS road dog with revenge before back-to-back home games; and 6-1 ATS road dog in Game Six. Titans: 0-6 ATS versus division opponent with single revenge; and 1-6 ATS after Browns; and 1-5-1 ATS in this series. With winless road dogs in the NFL 68-36-3 ATS from Game Six out since 1980, the points become the play here today. We recommend a 1-unit play on Jacksonville. Thank you and good luck as always.

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

2* Bonus Play Buffalo Bills +3

I'm taking the Bills here they are playing well turning the keys over to Kyle Orton was a great decisions because he can manage the game and get the ball into all the playmakers that the Bills have on offense. The Bills defense seems to be the real deal and playing up in Buffalo is no easy task. You could argue it's the toughest place to play on the East Coast and rivals what the Seahawks do out west. The Patriots have had their share of scares and trip ups here in the past and I'm not going to over react to what the Patriots did last week at home against the Bengals. They still allowed 6.7 yds/play to the Bengals and were helped by 3 fumbles.

Washington Redskins vs. Arizona Cardinals

4* Washington Redskins

No line on this contest because of the fact that starting QB Palmer has been declared out, his backup QB Stanton is still recovering from a concussion, leaving 3rd string QB Logan Thomas as the potential starter. The Arizona undefeated bubble burst last week in a resounding 41-20 loss at Denver, when they were outgained 568-215. With little continuity at the QB position and an injured DL, it is hard to recommend the Cards to continue their current 10-3 SU ATS run. Washington embarrassed themselves on their home field on MNF. Not only were the Skins defeated 27-17, but they were also outrushed 225-32 by Seattle. Working in our favor is the embarrassment/motivation of that home field loss, the fact that unsuccessful 1st year coaches on the road, off a loss following an embarrassing defensive performance, are a strong bounce back, and the fact that the combined -9 net TO margin favoring Washington is the 2nd biggest edge of the week in that category. With Washington holding a 6.2 to 5.2 edge in offensive YP play and possessing the superior defensive yard per play average, the upset will be no surprise to this bureau.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills 1:00PM

1* Bonus Play Buffalo Bills

I think the Bills offer great value this week as a home dog to a New England team that isn?t the same as year?s past. After scuffling the first few week, the visiting Patriots (3-2) looked a lot better in beating the undefeated Bengals 43-17 last Sunday night. QB Tom Brady had two TD?s on 295 yards passing. Rob Gronkowski had 100 yards receiving and a touchdown pass in the victory as well. Remember though, the win came after a week of media speculation on whether or not the Patriots were still a team that could compete with the league?s elite. The Buffalo Bills (3-2) are coming off a surprising 17-14 win over Detroit on the road in Week 5; the Bills scored 17 unanswered points to get the come from behind victory. New starting QB Kyle Orton completed 30 of 43 passes for 308 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his Bills debut after replacing the ineffective EJ Manuel. The Bills are now 11-5 in home games the last three seasons and I think they can give New England everything it can handle here. The Patriots pulled out a 23-21 victory at Ralph Wilson Stadium last season on a last second field goal, which means that the Bills now come in looking for revenge against arguably their biggest threat in the AFC East. I think this sets up as a bit of a letdown spot for New England as well; Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said the players played with a chip on their shoulders last week: "I think we've played hard a lot this year, but we were able to execute things a little bit better. Of course, there was more emotion and energy as we were making plays." I think that emotion helped mask some lingering problems that this Patriots team still has on both sides of the ball though. And note, that emotion will obvoiusly be much hard to duplicate on the road where the Pats are just 1-2 SU and ATS this season. The Bills haven?t had a lot of chances to lay the boots to the Patriots over the last decade and I think they will relish this moment. While the outright win isn?t out of the question, I will in the end recommend grabbing as many points as you can

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons 4:25PM

5* Atlanta Falcons

Reason: 5* Play on Atlanta. Falcons enter this week with a losing 2-3 record and are coming off a pair of double-digit losses the last two weeks. Those results are a bit misleading, however, as all three of their losses came on the road - here at home Atlanta is a perfect 2-0 both SU and ATS scoring a combined 93 points in those two games.

We'll back the Falcons to win big here at home this Sunday against a Bears team that has also lost each of their last two games. Not at all impressed with Chicago's defensive efforts the last few weeks, including 300 passing yards allowed against the Jets and 302 passing yards allowed against Green Bay. Another strong passing offense to deal with this week and the Falcons end their losing skid with a comfortable win and cover! 5* Play on Atlanta.

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

5* FREE NFL Play Buffalo Bills +3

After a big win on Sunday night the Patriots were installed as small favourites on the road. Even though they beat the Bengals I am not sold on this team yet and I think the Bills, led by Orton, a strong running game and a stingy defense will get the victory.

It might look a lot like their win over the Lions last week so taking the under might be a smart bet as well. I know Buffalo over New England might be sacrilege but I feel good about it.

Good Luck, Razor Ray

'Bengals Respond'

Bengals look to right the ship after suffering it's first blemish of the season, a 43-17 whoopin' at New England. Standing in their way, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Despite how soundly Cincinnati was beaten by New England, history is on the side of Cincinnati in this one. Bengals have won and covered eleven straight regular season games at Paul Brown Stadium with an average winning margin of +17.0 PPG. However, the key sports handicapping nugget here is that Cincinnati has been a good betting choice in this spot. Bengals have not only posted a 5-2-1 mark against the betting line after suffering a 2TD spanking the previous effort, Marvin Lewis' troops have been 'Rolling Sevens' at home as chalk of 3.5 to 7 points (7-1 ATS) and when facing a Non-Conference opponent (7-1 ATS). Carolina doesn’t help itself when looking at numbers that are pertinent to the circumstances they find themselves in today. The Panthers have lost eight straight against the AFC North cashing a single ticket over the skid (1-6-1 ATS). Those betting numbers in hand, consider Bengals Sunday.
