I'm expecting a solid start out of Santanna here today to try keep the Mets from being swepts. Lets not kid ourselves as bad as the Mets offense has been the Phillies have not been that much better. The Mets are 4-0 in Santanna's last 4 starts vs. the Phillies, but what is weird to me is how the line has exploded in the other direction from the Mets -112 at open to -111 Phillies. What does this mean? It means that Blanton should throw a solid game here against the Mets.
The Mets offense is just pitiful right now to say the least they are hitting .196 last 10 vs. RHP and scoring 2.60R/9 over that period. Their bright spot has been their bullpen 1.47ERA last 5. The Under 6-1 in the L7 times Santanna pitches following a loss. He's their iron horse. The Phillies are under 10-2 in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing record. Their bullpen has been solid of late 3.68ERA. I was tempted to take the Phillies here today, but I'll settle with the under.

Today we have Carpenter vs. Arroyo on what looks to be a good game pitching wise.. but I disagree.
Carpenter coming off a rough outing and has a 4.58ERA in his last three seems to be a little off right now. Reds .289 average vs. RHP as of late tells me they should be able to get some runs here at home in a ball park that is not exactly pitcher friendly.
Arroyo will head to the mound for the Reds with a 1.98whip and a 7.47ERA in his last three starts. The Cardinals may be able to score the 8 runs on their own in this one, but I don't doubt the Reds will be right there. The cardinals are batting .278 and have scored 7.71R/9 in their last 5 vs. RHP. I'd be confident in saying they'll hit the ball as they are a streaky hitting team they were down last week, but seem to be putting it together now.

The Over is 42-16-3 the last 61 games for the Cardinals where the total is 7-8.5. The line has moved around quite a bit and the public is on the Cardinals but the line has moved towards the Reds. Don't be surprised if the Reds hit here today folks.

Marlins will try to rebound here tonight after losing 7-4 yesterday and I think they will. They send Andrew Miller who the Pirates have seen briefly. Miller will be in a similar bounce back start at home that he was in his last home start where he pitched 7 innings of 1 hit baseball against a Baltimore team that had success against LHP. Here he comes off a road start at TB one of the toughest places to pitch and he goes up against the Pirates. Miller is 4-0 in his last 4 at home as a favorite and he has a 3.11 era here with a 2-0 record. The question is will the Marlins hit for him against Zach Duke.
Duke comes in with limited starts against the Marlins but still the Marlins hitting .353 vs. Duke. His 3.64ERA on the road is pretty solid but much higher than it is at home. The Pirates are just 3-19 their last 22 as a dog +110-150, they are 0-4 in Dukes last 4 starts vs. the Marlins. He has 9ER in his last 2 road starts in 12IP. He'll be going on 4 days rest where the Pirates are 3-13 in his last 16 times doing that. Fade Duke here on the road where the Marlins have hit well vs. LHP. Marlins .270 average and 6.42 r/9 vs. LHP at home.

so what does everyone think about Budin and his MLB run lines.....he takes huge favorites on the run line, long term that is a losing edge so why would people want to continue to pay for his MLB, football he is alright but MLB he needs to actually come with a good play, a sharp underdog play or something, he is losing credit going after huge favored teams

He had an underdog play a couple of weeks ago with Philly that tanked. I guess that means it wasn't a sharp underdog play but he(oops, I mean his "crews") probably thought it was.
As for the crews, this cold streak is good evidence that the crews are simply a figment of his imagination(which pretty much everyone knows anyway). I can't wait for the explanation that all of his crews just happened to go cold at the same time. The guy goes cold and his crews all of the sudden don't have a release for two weeks-give me a break!!! All of the crews going cold at the same time is just a likely as all of the crews getting hot at the same time-unlikely.
The guy is a great marketer though(probably the best). He'll wait a little, maybe until after the All-star break, put out a play, and people will be asking for "God's" play all over again.
He's the best at what he does but that is marketing and not picking winners. He is alright at picking winners in certain sports at certain times but over the next few years people will finally figure out that long term he won't be that profitable for you(if at all). He had a good run at baseball last year and both years in football but that isn't helping his new customers that he is burying in baseball right now. The best handicappers are ones that are consistent but most importantly won't bury you.
I have nothing against the guy BTW but people fall so hard for the marketing that I just had to rant.
In addition, I can't wait for him to say that the "Freehold Wise Guys" are so sharp because they played the Indians on the run line as opposed to laying the -195 chalk so the loss does not hurt as bad. The reality is he did not have the balls to lay the price and go down almost 50 Dimes in one day. I don't like playing big chalk but if you are so sure(25 Dimes sure) that they are going to win play the money line and lay the price instead of making the play that much harder to win.
