Sportsbook said a check was sent today for my deposit requested on 10/6 (only two months and three days--speedy!). We'll see if I can go 2-for-2 on bounced checks. If only my NHL parlays were this good...

I never received a tracking number, but my check arrived the day after I was told that my withdrawal had been processed.

Considering the length of this thread and the level of frustration experienced by the members here, I'm surprised therx continues to keep sportsbook.com and its affiliated entities as a sponsor. I'm well pleased to have my money back from them, that's for sure.

No personal experience with a bounced check from Sportsbook, but I would expect that they will want to verify that there was a problem with their processor, and they will either (1) have the processor reissue you a good check, or (2) contact ANOTHER processor and have the check issued from them.

Either case you can expect to wait a few weeks. I would give it 3.

Update: took them about 10 days to issue a new check. Send via courier this week, so we'll see if it clears. <crosses fingers>

tell me why I shouldn't have posted the bounced check.

Was my name, bank acct. #, or signature on the front of it where you could see? No
Could you do anything with any of their information on the front? No. It already bounced.

Anyway, got a PM in my sportsbook acct that said they sent out another check on 12/11. It was sent FedEx from Basseterre Saint Kitts and Nevis and is scheduled to arrive at my home tomorrow.

Sigh. I will explain it to you. Sports Betting is illegal under US Law (see Wire Act of 1961). There are certain law enforcement types that read these forums. If someone posts a copy of a check that they received from a sports book that is doing business with US customers, it is very easy for law enforcement to send out a notice to US banks to "flag" any checks that are written with the same banking info.

So, by posting a check, you put all users of Sportsbook in danger of getting busted by the Feds when they try to deposit their check. (You do understand why your check doesn't say "Sportsbook" on it, right?).

Update #3: Second check cleared. We'll see if the first check (the reissue from the first bouced check) clears on Monday next week. Also sent from St. Kitts, yet drawn on the same processing company that bounced the first time.... <fingers crossed>

SOP for most banks regarding funds availability (regardless of the bank drawn on) is 3 business days for "out-of-town" checks for $2,499 or less and 5 business days for out of town checks $2,500 or more.

So, when withdrawing from SB.com, make it less than $2,500 on your checks and save yourself two days of hold time...

Interestingly, Sportsbook.com IS considered a "top book" - it's regularly quoted on covers.com and other sites that watch lines.

Glad to know you got payment and everything turned out okay.

If you find a better book with decent juice that pays in days instead of weeks, let us all know.

Same here, check from same company as the last one.

Finally. Got the FedEx a day late because the guy knocked on my door and by time I got from my office room to the front of the house he was halfway up the street. I deposited yesterday and I just looked today and it has gone from pending to a credit on my bank.

Hopefully this mess is all done with now.

Update again...

Amazingly, the re-issue check from the first bounced check has cleared. Grand total on time from first withdrawl to money in my bank: 3 months and 2 days. <sigh> One more check to go and then I'm done.

But, Sportsbook has yet to not pay me. Sure, it takes a shorter amount of time to say, build a house, but you will eventually get paid.

Good luck to all those waiting on cash....

Sportsbook.com is not considered a top book by anybody. They have a d- rating, and have brought nothing but trouble for people who place bets with them.

Update on my situation:

Check #1 ($100), requested Oct. 9th, received via Fedex (international priority!) on November 26, check cleared.

Check #2 ($2400), requested Nov.3, it has been "processed" and sent via "post".

Why these guys spent $50 to send me my $100 check and are spending less than $1 on my $2400 check is beyond me but hopefully I will receive this soon, presumably from the post office.

Note: Did not receive an e-mail saying it had been processed, just checked my account to see the status.

Well, I'm an ALMOST happy user of Sportsbook.com, although I have been moving closer to betus.com lately, and just today opened an account with thegreek.com. From what I've read the D- score is primarily due to slow payout and payment hassles. Obviously not something for them to be proud of but I knew about that when I signed up with them 2 years ago.

Sportsbook.com USED to be listed in usatoday.com and covers.com, but apparently their odds have been dropped (I checked today). Their star, never really bright to begin with, is apparently fading.
