Not really sure of the "technical" differences go2.....I mean groups like Devo were considered "new wave" where synth pop, was just what it said, the overuse of synthesisers to enhance the music, basically the kind of song that sounded alot better on the radio, than in concert....LOL

Motels did "only the lonely", and a couple others,

Naked Eyes was famous for their one hit "Promises, promises" which was an awesome song, back then....

Here are some more one hit wonders, can you tell me who sang them?

"Too Shy, shy"
"Video killed the Radio Star"
"Come on Eileen"
"You Spin me round"
"people are people" ** not a one hit wonder
"I know, there's something goin on" ** Jman might know this one
"Somebody's Watchin me"
"Bas-ket-ball"
"Electric Avenue"
"Centipede"
"Suave'"
"She Blinded me with Science"
"Obsession"
"Let the Music Play"
"I touch Myself"
"I ran"
obsession is human league
touch myself Divinyls
too shy shy Kaggagoogoo
eileen Dexy's midnight runners
somethings going on Frida

how about tainted Love

Bless the Beasts and the Children by The Carpenters

I know, but if you've seen the movie of the same name, you'll know why.

Interesting to hear about any songs that are out currently that your friends would say, "Wow, you listen to this or you like that song?"

Did she sing that before 1980 cause i only claim to like 80's music. However anything 80's new wave or sythn pop you'll be hard pressed to get me.

If you're talking about Centipede, I pretty sure it was made in the 80s. Speaking of the Jacksons, how many people liked "Man in the Mirror" but didn't want to admit it? Jermaine Jackson had a song I liked to called "Don't take it personal"
