Yep I knew a standup guy, Little League Coach would give shirt off back.

Nice guy with a huge gambling problem, he ended up losing wife to another man and multiple good jobs because he was doing shady financial transactions to fund his gambling problems.

Even today he still thinks he will crack the code.

Dude should have never bet his wife against another man that Zippy Chippy wins 1 outta 100 horse races

I've met BAS , last time was at the last bash. Seems like a straight up guy, no reason to think otherwise. He has the props from the cheerleading squad here , so that has to account for something.... I usually base my assesments of people on actions , not words and excuses... Here's what I think has happened.. He fucked up.. comingled the funds , got stiffed , bad gambling decisions , jammed up , who knows. Now scrambling or waiting for some funds to come thru to get this debt paid off... unfortunate situation...

With that being said , BAS has a lot of equity in this forum , I believe he will make this right.. I know I wouldn't want my reputation tarnished over a 30K gambling debt.. we might not believe the excuses or stories that will eventually come with al of this , but hopefully posters get paid and we can move on and correct this situation , so people can feel confident when joining these contests in the future..

Hope that’s not the case, but any gambler has been in that position.

Very weird situation. Had many dealings with BAS, never one problem and met him twice

Seems like a lot of jumping to conclusions. I have to trust the mods and see what plays out

If Hache says BAS is thick as thieves and he is extrmely confident no one has anything to worry about then just take his word for it. Atleast for the time being.

Situation was handled very poorly though. 35k owed and the response can’t just be “Be patient”, it has to be much more emphatic to calm the fears of those that are owed.

i don't think you used that phrase "thick as thieves" properly. Hache is saying he is honest and trustworthy.

lol 6 pages of guys asking wtf is going on but I'm singled out as stirring things up.

Problem is you don't even read threads before you chime in.

2 other posters called you out on this recently for repeating what others had already said.

You did it yet again in this thread

All the guys who have played in contests he ran or was involved in over the years will agree he's trustworthy I'm sure.

To think after years of doing this he would suddenly decide to keep anyone's money doesn't really make sense.

He said 35k just isn’t much money to him and thus he wouldn’t be in the financial trouble that other folks have speculated. And he will pay.

When I’ve won on several occasions, he’s always reached out to me first asking how I wanted to be paid, so he’s good there in my book...

I wish him well in whatever obstacles in life he is battling...

problem is , that's just talk. unless you're his accountant , you don't know if 35k is chump change... people talk, some people base their opinions on talk..

Did JOH not get his cut for services either, or was it paid in advance?

Kind of absurd what you're insinuating.

$30,000 is a lot to most of us but it's chump change to BAS.

What you are implying is wayyy off base.

Thick as thieves Valium.

Hes loaded and the 35 gonna get paid once he’s feeling better.

Is this true? Time will tell. I hope so.
