So Baltimore is the only team in the league that doesn't supply their own balls?

There are only 6 K balls and they wouldn't be supplied by Baltimore.

But I think it would be highly unlikely that someone from the Pats could tamper with them since it is my understanding that an official has an eye on them.

Maybe because its something thats been such a common practice for so long in the NFL that it's not even on his radar as a thing to not do? I don't know that this is the case, QBs adjusting psi of balls for basically EVER within the NFL but Rodger's statement SUGGESTS that it is...and has been.

If thats the case and QBs have adjusted psi as a common practice thats been happening for a very long time this wouldn't be something Bill would be concerned with. It doesn't appear the officials were concerned with it a whole lot prior to the events that transpired in the IND/NE game so just saying maybe this has been such a common practice in NFL for years that it's "commonly accepted" thus Bill and no other HCs thought they needed to be concerned with it.

Rodgers said the officials change the PSI.

This isn't common practice since there is both a rule against it and I can't think of a time that a team was caught doing it.

so let me get this straight. The New England organization has been caught cheating in the past, rightfully punished. Shamed the organization . Fast forward a few years, under the SAME LEADERSHIP they do it again?

WTF?

what kind of people do this?

just wow. Speaks volumes about this HC and Brady. Here's hoping there's a reasonable explanation....is that even possible?

Reasonable Explanation is that, just like my example of how people drive up to 10 mph over speed limit on freeway but not ELEVEN, adjusting psi is common practice that YES is against the rules but "everyone does it".

Seriously, I was "playing" at the beginning of this thread, defending Bill with Humor because this isn't as big a deal as its being made out to be, psi adjustment of balls has very possibly in fact, judging by Aaron Rodger's statement very PROBABLY been COMMON FOR YEARS IN NFL so now I'm serious in asking you guys to stop over-reacting to this and allowing the Media to whip you into a Frenzy.

Because the refs don't monitor the freekin balls FOR PROPER INFLATION DURING GAMETIME because it ain't been considered a big deal exactly the same as my example of how the vast majority of cops don't pull over and ticket motorists going 10 mph or under over the limit!!!!

Not saying every QB in NFL history has adjusted psi or even 30% of those have but can't you see how its possible psi adjustment has been happening despite the rule just like the speeding example?

You telling me ARodg's statement was that Refs are adjusting the psi to "over-inflated" as he put it FOR HIM???? So as to break the very rule you cite as why psi adjustment CANNOT possibly be common practice LMFAO????!!??

LOL, who's in a frenzy? are YOU okay?

You seem to have found the answer, so the case is closed? 'everyone does it, so its okay' . Thank you for sharing that brilliance.

send the NFL and New England a note, tell them to go with that. Let us know the response ........I thank you, :)

LOL, guy actually said maybe something fell on the balls while on the sideline and possibly deflated them. Funniest shit I've heard in awhile.

I'm the least one in Frenzy about this, a bit puzzled by why some people are unable to at least consider how psi adjustment has POSSIBLY been common throughout NFL history. I was replying to those posting such absolute shock and disgust at The Patriot's while (perhaps) not thinking the matter through and considering all possible explanations.

I'd expect the NFL would LOVE to go with that.

In fact it'd very possibly be the best they could do at this point:

"It has come to our attention that psi adjustment of balls, while not pervasive, has been a somewhat common practice within the NFL for years much like how when one fills their cup up at the convenience store soda fountain they will take a drink and then refill that sip they took. Going Forward our officials will more closely monitor balls for proper inflation."

I was JOKING at that point, tryin' to have some FUN with this that so many people are so totally over-reacting to cuz they let an overactive Media mess their head up like The Brown Acid.

The colts lost. Live with it. did they under inflate balls? Probably. Would I cheat them if I had the opportunity? In a second and would sleep better if I did. . anyone here would take +35 if given to them and we all would still have lost...One of these days.

Exactly my point as well. If it were any other team the Media wouldn't be spazzing out about it to the extent that they are or even reporting on it at all maybe but because its Belichick they have a VILLIAN they can exploit so it's the "OMG THEY'RE CHEATING AGAIN!!" and it just stuns me how many normally intelligent guys, shrewd bettors and dudes I wouldn't expect to get sucked onto their RatingsWhore bandwagon have.

When you play New England, you have to be prepared for anything.

Not like Luck hasn't thrown over inflated balls, under inflated balls, wet balls, dry balls, balls with dried up cum on them, cold balls, warm balls.
