Comical that a few think the nfl did this for ratings. Lol...as if they need this for monster ratings for the super bowl. You really have to be insane to think that......who out there is thinking " I don't usually watch the super bowl but I will now because of a defalted football scandal"

Nah. Dr. Mantis Toboggan is well respected MD in Philly.

Actually I'd be inclined towards the opposite, based on the name: to assume intelligence cuz its got a Scandanavian Flavor the name and I think that people from that part of the world are smart.

I'd agree with you enthusiastically were this offense an egregious violation that was not commonly done within the league and a premeditated plan to cheat on Belichick's part could be proven but not a single one of those things is true here.

The opposite actually: this is a common violation, so much so that the refs aren't even mindful to be checking balls, that many qbs have said goes on throughout all levels of football and there is really no way of proving premeditation on Bill's part and not even Tom's.

"Year Suspension" from some of these other fanatics I can see but from you I am very surprised.....for this.

I don't see how they can do anything to them. In a Court of Law this gets tossed immediately but, actually, doesn't even get to the Court because any even first year Law Student would see Chain Of Possession is so fukked here that there'd be no way to prove anything. And with psi-loss info I posted above, "Reasonable Doubt".

I'm pretty sure now the NFL orchestrated this to increase ratings. Why else does Brady and The Pats drag this on when he could have squashed it easily and the fine is clearly $25,000 (and possible loss of draft pick) why does the NFL not just fine, penalize and move on?

Because they want to drag this out.

For the Press Coverage...and hype.

Can't help but admire the boldness of whoever is handling the Marketing for this game.

Definitely "out of the box" this strategy, and never yet really tried lol.

They are doing their jobs and definitely giving NFL their $$$$
You could be right about actually finding proof they did it. But if the NFL didn't think the deflation of footballs wasn't a potential difference maker in a game, they wouldn't have made this rule, regardless of how many teams purposely break it. The Indy game was a foregone conclusion by halftime, but it appears NE also did the same against Baltimore. That was a 4 point game in which a single extra completion could have changed the outcome. This is where it gets serious if NE truely violated the rules against both Indy AND the Ravens..

More than you might imagine. You know anyone who is NOT GONNA WATCH because of a deflated football scandal?

How would YOU increase viewership of a game that sees 2/3 of the US population tuned in.

Give them some Scandal. Thats the demographic they are missing anyway. The Jerry Springer Crowd.

You are not seeing the forest for the trees vitterd.

Yeah, I guess the Patriots decided to put the footballs in the 90 degree room for this one game when it was warmer than their last home game.

Or something.

Seriously, just stop. If such a thing happened, they would have rushed the equipment manager out there yesterday to say so.

Before you jump on the Balty/NE scenario verify cuz all I've heard is it was involving suspicion of kicking balls and I believe I read somewhere K balls are held by officials so that Balty stuff might have been torpedoed.

Whatever happens here, going forward there has to be as FIRM enforcement of psi rule as possible because lowered psi = less fumbles.

and possibly a LOT less. Some, I believe, minimal study has been done. Over this off-Season there will be a BUNCH.

By PreSeason next year we will have an idea how badly this has impacted us Gamblers throughout the years.

We've lost many games to turnovers.

Won a handful too of course but, as is the nature of the Beast, fumbles have cost us a whole lot more than they've brought us.

Half of America could care less who plays in the Super Bowl or the scandals. It's an excuse for a party. Plus after showing the previews of the Au Naturel girl, that alone should draw another 10 million viewers.

I would like to see the NFL handle all of the footballs themselves for here on out, and not even let the opposing QB's touch them. Make them play the same unscuffed slick NFL footballs right out of the box.

That Hamburger Chick?

People will always like a big buxom blonde I guess.

I prefer em dark hair light eyes paler (but not really pale) skintone smaller boobs OK. Huge Boobs and style of butts as we see in your avatar I don't DISlike but definitely far from as reverent as it seems so many are about these. Kim K for example, just an eyesore.

I'm really pissed at Revelation of the decrease in fumbles as result of cheating on psi.

Its good we'll never know exactly where this cost us but you know this has cost us dearly.

I'm partial to brunettes myself. But the hair was the last thing I was looking at. In fact I had to watch it again to see who's burger she was selling...Those big tits could cause a train wreck.

I post that not to try and vindicate them, Many QBs, past and present and most recently Brady Quinn, have said "doctoring balls" is something that QBs do from High School forward and that this has been common within NFL since they used balls that could be "fudged" with psi-wise.

Intuitively, common sense would lead us to believe weather effects air pressure. Most of us have experienced this with our car or truck tires.

Your question about why Indianapolis's balls didn't also show under legal would need to be addressed, psi should have been lost under these conditions to all balls.

Some may say maybe Colts inflate to TOP of legal psi range?

Aaron Rodgers does. Even sneaks balls a bit over....14-4.5? If Luck likes a Hard ball that would be an explanation of why Colt's balls were still legal.

I have no dog in this fight, my only bet thus far on the National Anthem. I will likely be on Seattle in fact. Just want all possible relevant info considered within this witch hunt.

I appreciate a little objectivity, very refreshing

ESPN is reporting Gisele paid him two million dollars to move to Brazil and STFU

Ray Lewis broke this story, citing reliable sources (other sources say that source is John Harbough)

all the major networks are carrying it now, with the Dan Rather wannabes saying they don't care if the source is a fraud, they're reporting it because they think it's true. So there
