Actually I'd be inclined towards the opposite, based on the name: to assume intelligence cuz its got a Scandanavian Flavor the name and I think that people from that part of the world are smart.

I'd agree with you enthusiastically were this offense an egregious violation that was not commonly done within the league and a premeditated plan to cheat on Belichick's part could be proven but not a single one of those things is true here.

You could be right about actually finding proof they did it. But if the NFL didn't think the deflation of footballs wasn't a potential difference maker in a game, they wouldn't have made this rule, regardless of how many teams purposely break it. The Indy game was a foregone conclusion by halftime, but it appears NE also did the same against Baltimore. That was a 4 point game in which a single extra completion could have changed the outcome. This is where it gets serious if NE truely violated the rules against both Indy AND the Ravens..​

I post that not to try and vindicate them, Many QBs, past and present and most recently Brady Quinn, have said "doctoring balls" is something that QBs do from High School forward and that this has been common within NFL since they used balls that could be "fudged" with psi-wise.

Intuitively, common sense would lead us to believe weather effects air pressure. Most of us have experienced this with our car or truck tires.

Your question about why Indianapolis's balls didn't also show under legal would need to be addressed, psi should have been lost under these conditions to all balls.
