Analysis:
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles Dodgers - Cardinals (Carpenter/Kuroda)(Best Bet) -120 | Unit Value: 3
Game Date: 6/8/2010
Note: I am not going to expound on this play as much as I usually do and I do know that this is somewhat going to be a popular one with the Joes out there. But sometimes Joe has his thinking cap on and it does not take too many brains underneath to know why this is a High Percentage Play. Handicapping Baseball games means taking a lot of things under consideration. Certainly the Venue is one of those and the LA Dodgers have been very good at their home place. They are now 21-10 here after last night's easy win and they have hit righthanded pitching here with might. But they MIGHT NOT tonight as the guy they will be facing has been murder against this team. Chris Carpenter is 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA in six career regular season meetings verses LA, including 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA in two starts versus Los Angeles last year. He did not beat them in the Post Season Game last year. Has this highly competitive Thrower forgotten that? I doubt it seriously. He is on a major run right now and his team has always felt confident when he is on the Hill. The fact is, St Louis is 10-2 in all of his contests this year, and dating back to a long time ago, they are 102-41 when he tops the mound. Does the road bother this guy? I would say NO since he is a Perfect 9-0 in his last 14 Starts with a 2.42 ERA in the process. What this means is that he will likely be leading, or at least tied when he leaves the game tonight and he might not leave until late as Carpenter has the ability to go deep into games.

BetUS vs 923 SEA
Analysis: MLB: Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers - Rangers (Hernandez/Lewis) -120 | Unit Value: 1
Game Date: 6/8/2010
Note: I am not going to over-handicap this game and therefore brief thoughts here as well. The Rangers are back where they belong, facing the righthander and they have hit these guys over the .300 Mark this year at this park. Seattle remains a lite hitting team and although they have their big gu’y on the Hill tonight, they have already lost to Texas with him there this year. This Rangers Team is just plain good here but were not in their best situation Monday. They are tonight and I expect a good showing. Seattle's Pen is dragging right now with a lot of work over the last 10 games and an astronomical ERA of 9.89 in those games. Lee gave them what they needed last night. Hernandez is not likely to tonight. Simple Stuff and Value-O-Mania in my book at this number..
