This one is a trap. I am not biting. The public is hammering the Rangers. They need it the most. They are on the outside of the play offs looking in. They are at home. They have scored 102 goals at home.. Their 32 on the power play is exceeded by only Washington. They are very inviting at -140.
Montreal on the other hand are 5 points up in 7th place. They have won 5 in a row. On the road this year, they have score 28 power play goals. Exceeded again only by Washington. Montreal is top 5 when it comes to allowing shots on goal. After tonight, the havs get Ottawa and Toronto. Would be nice if they had 2 more point cushion.
Both these goalies have an immediate history of getting lit up by tonight's opponent. The public loves the Rangers here too much. Every big game the rangers have played this year have been shoot outs. Penalty plagued games where there is a lot of open ice and man advantages. Many of which they were blown out. I think this is the scenario from tonight. Both teams have big time power plays in this venue. Both teams have goalies who have been erratic of late. 8 of the last 9 times they have played, it went over. The 2 times this year, the total was at 5.0 I see a big number.
