NC State at South Florida O/U 127

If you watch South Florida play you know that this is a team that likes to push the pace. The problem with that is the Bulls aren’t very efficient. Over their last 10 games they’ve scored over 65 points twice and one of those efforts came against Providence. They seem a little more fluid on their home court but in order to get a 70+ point effort from this group you either need a 50% night from the floor or the other team to partake in a fast pace affair. I don’t think either will occur tonight as methodical NC State heads in playing its best defense of the year. The Wolfpack held all three ACC Tournament opponents to under 60 points (Georgia Tech, Florida State and Clemson) and we know two of the three obviously prefer a more up-tempo style. There also seems to be an understanding amongst the coaches and players that the reason for their tournament run was because of good defense. Freshman guard Scott Wood simply said, “defense” when asked what attributed to his team’s 5-2 finish. Head coach Sidney Lowe chimed in with, “We are learning how to play together.” Offensively, NC State is about on par with USF. The Wolfpack averaged right at 60 ppg over their last ten contests. It looks as if both of these teams aren’t too terribly upset to be in this situation which suggests solid efforts on both ends of the court. Play it under.

In my opinion, Virginia Tech should have made the Big Dance and I'm sure they thought the same thing and are upset about it. A lot of times teams like this will pretty much pack it in for the season and not play at the intensity level in the NIT as they would have in the Big Dance. Hokies are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Hokies are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite. Hokies are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 13.0 or greater. Hokies are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite of 13.0 or greater. We'll play Quinnipiac for 3 units tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky.

The Duke's Sports

Sacramento (+6) for 2.5 Units

The Kings gave the Lakers all that they could handle back on January 1st at the Staples Center coming up a point short as a 12 point dog. Tonight, the Kings have the Lakers unrested on their home floor where they've won 6 of their last 8 games. And they'll be playing in front of a capacity crowd to spark their energy. The Kings are a sweet 10-4 ATS as a home dog in this spread range. The Lakers, on the other hand, have struggled in the favorite role, especially in this spread range (0-5-1 ATS) furthermore, they're 3-9 ATS on Tuesdays. The Lakers' battle with the Warriors last night may have taken its toll. And we know that the Lakers are just 3-8 ATS when their staring 5 combined for 160+ minutes the previous day. The Lakers' defense has been yielding over its last 5 games (104 ppg) and we'll look for the talented young Kings to effectively trade baskets with them tonight.
