Ball State at WESTERN MICHIGAN -10'

I continued my amazing run on my complimentary selections, nailing another winner Monday night as underdog Arizona covered against Wisconsin at the Maui Classic. That victory makes me 13-2 over the past 15 days!

I'm going to pick up another win tonight as I back favored Western Michigan to roll at home against hapless Ball State. The Broncos need a victory to become eligible for a bowl berth, and they couldn't pick a better opponent to do it against than the Cardinals.

Ball State is 1-10 straight up this season and has lost three straight. It is starting its second-string quarterback, Tanner Justice, for the fifth straight game, and the senior has been awful, completing just 48.9 percent of his passes for 523 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions.

Western Michigan QB Tim Hiller, on the other hand, has been outstanding. The senior, a four-year starter, has completed 61.1 percent of his throws for 2,904 yards and 22 TDs with nine interceptions. Behind Hiller, the Broncos have the 27th-best passing game in the country, averaging 282.3 yards per game.

Western Michigan also scores 25.4 points per game, and it should improve on that total tonight, as Ball State gives up 29.2 ppg, giving up at least 20 points in every game this season. In the Cardinals' 35-3 loss to Central Michigan last week, Chippewas QB Dan LeFevour passed for 344 yards and four TDs.

Ball State seemed like a team that wanted it season to just be over last week, and that was playing before its home crowd. Ending its miserable season on the road, I can't see the Cardinals putting up much of a fight tonight. Take the Broncos to win by at least two touchdowns.

Tuesday's winner ...

200♦ WESTERN MICHIGAN - Has anyone actually watched Ball State? This team is terrible, and since it cannot stop the pass, and the Broncos have Tim Hiller firing on all cylinders, I'm looking a three-touchdown winner tonight.

Last week the Cardinals gave 344 yards and four touchdowns to the most prolific passer in Mid-Ameican Conference history, Dan LeFevour; tonight you can expect to see Hiller get the 316 yards he needs to move into third all-time on the conference list.

Truthfully guys, that's everything I like about this game, so I'm not going to fluff this up with details that won't matter.

All Hiller, all WMU.

3 Unit Play. Take Cornell +14.5 over Syracuse

The Orange are coming off an impressive run in New York City having beaten California and Syracuse. Now they face a strong Big Red team that will likely win the Ivy League in 2010. They already have impressive road wins this season against UMASS and Alabama. After pounding North Carolina, this is the perfect spot for a letdown and we will collect big in the process. The Big Red return five starters from last year and Ryan Wittman can beat you in a variety of ways.

no johnny or Randy yet, so as usual here is lefty

1* lakers -13 over the Knicks - lakers have been extremely solid since Gasol returned. They have had no problems at all transitioning him into the lineup. Against 3 defensive minded teams in OKC,Chi and det, the lake show has averaged 105 a game. Agaist a sloppy defensive team like the knicks, I can see a 115-120 being put up. The Knicks have only played away from home 3 times in the last 10 games. Going cross country and getting a hot team., they could and should be in a spot to get bulldozed here.

lets cash!!

***** 5 STAR SELECTION *****

Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Game: Cornell Big Red @ Syracuse Orange

Sport: NCAA Basketball

Time: 6:00PM CST

Risk/Win: $220 to win $200

(517) Cornell Big Red +13.5

(Line from Betjamaica)

Syracuse comes off of a huge performance at MSG with big wins over ranked opponents Cal and UNC. The Orange better be ready for a Cornell team that returns all five starters from last year’s squad that went 21-10, won the Ivy League and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. The Big Red sports a 2-1 record this season that includes wins at Alabama and UMass along with a home loss to Seton Hall last Friday. Last year Cornell had Syracuse down by 16 points at the Carrier Dome before a much more talented and experienced Orange team fought back for a 88-78 win. Syracuse's 2-3 zone has been very good so far this season, but Cornell has a group of top notch shooters that can break the zone. Syracuse is 4-0 against the spread and very over valued right now. Take the points.

Tuesday's Selection ... NOTE:
This is a good money making week.

With all the lines out, I must say I see some really good value in both college and the NFL.

However, first things first and that is continuing this weeknight football run. On fire is an understatement the last 6 weeks.

12-4-1 is 12-4-1 anyway you slice it but let's be honest here, 13-4-1 is much better.

Let's go get it.

10 DIME - WESTERN MICHIGAN BRONCOS -.(if 10 1/2 buy the 1/2, and lay 10. I don't care if it's college or pro football, never get beat by the hook when dealing with the 3, 7, 10, 14 or 17 number.) "I think we ran out of juice."

That was the quote of Ball State coach Stan Parrish after his team was routed by CMU at home 35-3 last week.

So let me get this straight Stan, your team was playing the best team in the MAC, at home on national TV and at 1-10 this was your bowl game. Your Super Bowl. It was your season.

"I think we ran out of juice."!?!?!!?

Ok, where are you going to draw the energy from to play a Western Michigan team coming off 10 days off that has to not only win to get to 6 wins and bowl eligible but they have to impress the bowls while doing so.

I have a senior QB in Tim Hiller playing his last home game of his career, off 3 road games, with the 25th best passing attack facing the 73rd best pass defense in the nation.

For my dollar tonight, I just don't see where Ball State is going to be mentally focused to compete for 60 minutes with nothing to play for against a team at home trying to get bowl eligible.

There is no doubt in my mind the right side of this game is Western Michigan.

Just as I did last week taking Central Michigan over this Ball State team, I will force Ball State to play error free football and cover this number.

Now I know what you are thinking. Ball State covered all 4 games they were a road underdog this year. Well, you are correct.

But let me also point out it was against the 119th pass offense of Army, 54th at Auburn, 111th at Temple and 86th ranked pass offense in Ohio.

The top 3 pass offenses they played this year regardless of where the game was played lit them up.

Bowling Green with the #4 pass offense put up 376, #20 Toledo put up 422 and Central Michigan at #38 put up 343.

This does not bode well for a Ball State team that "I think we ran out of juice" in their last game at home.

You add revenge from last year and I am going down swinging with Western Michigan tonight.
