20 DIMER - TEMPLE OWLS....10 DIMER - LOUISVILLE CARDINALS 20 DIMER - TEMPLE OWLS

No doubt the Hawks have been playing some hot hoops, as they have won their last pair, and 9 of their last 10 as they get set to take on in-city rival Temple tonight, but in this battle of birds, I am going with the Owls.

Temple played tough at Xavier last week, and followed that loss up with a solid win and cover at home over URI over the weekend. The Owls have now won 7 of 10 straight up, going 6-3-1 against the spread along the way.

Most importantly, after 5 straight series losses, it looks like Fran Dunphy's ways against the Hawks have turned the tide, as Temple has won the last pair of series meetings, and they have covered the last 3 meetings as well.

I believe Temple currently has the Hawks number, and I am siding with the Owls to make it 3 straight over their conference rival.

Louis under 145.5
15 straight games for Louisville in Regulation have gone under this total.

Louis -3
With the way ND has struggled I like the spot. Defense has to win this game.

Temple over 131
Two solid teams with excellent FT.

Elon +10(bought .5)
Elon has played good road ball recently.

Troy +1
One of the most embarrassing games of the year for this team and they come back tonight to settle the score. Home dog with a better conf. record, revenge, and Midd Tenn has lost their last 4 road Conf. games.

Tenn Mart over 147.5
Last meeting was 92-73. The last 6 have gone over with one push!

Port- 4

Cal St Full +8
Pacific won't shoot 63% again.

Washington over 134
I like anything with Washington this low. They put up 85 @OSU last game. They could possibly do 100 tonight

this is just a cope n paste from another site...

Betting expert Alan Boston provides his college hoops picks.

by Alan Boston with Chad Millman

One of the many things you look for as the season unwinds are teams that need a key win to give themselves a chance to make the tournament. One team that fits that category:

Notre Dame plus-3 vs. Louisville.

As it stands now, Notre Dame is out of the tournament, but their remaining schedule is very favorable. The biggest game they have left is tonight vs. Louisville. Win this and most of the winnable games left and the Irish have an outside shot at the big dance. After seven consecutive losses, a win could at least help salvage the season. Louisville is beatable. Rick Pitino's team is banged up a bit and, and last Sunday on the road, the Cards struggled to put away a very mediocre St. John's team. A month ago Louisville closed a 6.5-point home favorite against Notre Dame and won by 14 in overtime. That was the start of Notre Dame's current seven-game losing streak. The line has been adjusted quite a bit, with Louisville a 6.5-point favorite at home to now being a three-point favorite on the road. I believe it is an over-reaction. No doubt the Irish are struggling, but I feel they still think they can make the tourney. To do so, they must win tonight. They will play with their tourney lives on the line. With an effort similar to our Arizona selection vs. Washington hopefully returning to the team that played so well to start the year and beat Texas on a neutral court. They may also be catching a Louisville team that peaked and is now headed the other way. The Irish plus-3 is the call.

Middle plus 1 vs Troy.

Handicappers have a habit of being stubborn. I am no different. Last week I wrote of my love of Middle vs Denver. But they were never in the game. It was a terrible bet. Again, one game does not a season make. I always look at the big picture and I still feel Middle Tennesee is the class of the conference. Tonight's game is a battle for second place in the eastern division of the Sun Belt. The leader, Western Kentucky, still has games at Troy, at Little Rock and at Middle. They could lose all three, which makes this game even more important. The winner could win the division, and with it a bye in the conference tourney. Troy began the conference season 2-3, but since then have been on a tear, winning eight in a row. Middle on the other hand, started off red hot and has recently fizzled. Their last conference game was that Denver loss. In addition, one of their key players, guard Kevin Kanaskie, is playing hurt. Now, these two met to start the conference season. Middle won 81-53 as a 15-point favorite. No doubt Troy has improved immensely since then and no doubt Middle is not playing as well. But I cannot be wrong. I still believe Middle to be the way better team. I still believe they are the class of the conference. Tonight they will show it. Middle plus one BIG!!!

UCLA -1 over Arizona State

Call it revenge or call it payback. Either way UCLA is out to right a wrong against Arizona State. The Sun Devils rolled into Pauley Pavillion less than a month ago and hung a 61-58 overtime loss on the Bruins. Tonight you can expect another low-scoring affair as Ben Howland’s club ratchets up the defensive intensity against ASU.

The Bruins enter tonight’s game with a five-game winning streak and a 4-0 ATS run. It’s worth noting as well is the OVER has cashed in UCLA’s last six games. However those total toppers have come against teams that play more of an up-tempo style. The Sun Devils do not fit into that category as evidenced by one of the worst games of this, or any college basketball season.

Arizona State is coming off a 49-38 win over Oregon State in a contest as dull as the day is long. If ASU’s effort against the Beavers is any indication, than I’m guessing the Sun Devils “peaked” against UCLA.

Only once since 1981 have the Sun Devils swept the Bruins in a season series. UCLA had won eight straight series meetings before last month’s stunner in Westwood. However, the Bruins look like a different team since that loss and Alfred Aboya might be a big reason why. He’s become a force inside and is turning in quality minutes after being MIA for most of the season.

I like UCLA to win and I like this game to go UNDER. I’m not much of a parlay or teaser guy, but you might consider one or both tonight. This one won’t be pretty but UCLA will get the job done.
