20* Heat/Pacers Game 1 No-Brainer on Indiana +3

The Indiana Pacers worked hard during the regular season to earn the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. They did so looking ahead to a potential Eastern Conference Finals rematch with the Miami Heat. Starting with Game 1, I look for them to put that home court to use.

Home-court advantage has been huge when these teams have gotten together recently. Indeed, the home team won all four meetings during the regular season. Dating back to the playoffs last year, the home team has now won eight straight meetings in this series.

Indiana has gone 38-10 at home this season. It is outscoring opponents by an average of 8.7 points per game at home. Miami is a mediocre 25-20 on the road this year, clearly proving to be beatable away from home.

The Pacers were the best team in the league defensively this season. They ranked first in defensive efficiency, giving up just 96.7 points per 100 possessions. To compare, Miami ranked 11th in defensive efficiency, giving up 102.9 points per 100 possessions.

When you can play defense, you give yourself a chance to win in the playoffs. No team is better suited to stop Lebron James and Dwyane Wade than the Pacers. Paul George can contain James, while Lance Stephenson does an excellent job on Wade.

The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games when playing on two days' rest. I look for Indiana to protect its home court in Game 1 as the home team wins a 9th straight meeting between these teams. Bet the Pacers in Game 1 Sunday

Heat vs Pacers - The East goes through the Heat, and the Heat win this...probably in 6 on their home court, if I'm predicting again. The VALUE to the series is actually on the Pacers, and there's 2 ways we could approach it. Bet on the Pacers +310, hope they win game 1, and then come back and pound the Heat for twice as much around -150 or so. However, I just don't see the Pacers winning this. So we're going to stay put, add more to our futures, and hope the Pacers steal game 1 and we can bet on the Heat for the series at a price with VALUE.

- Spurs vs Thunder - Series bet: 2* on Spurs to win, -190, 2*. Pissed I didn't release this to you guys yesterday before the news of Ibaka being out. That definitely tilts the series seriously in the Spurs favor, but costs us about 25-30 cents from what we could have got yesterday. However, people look at the series now and say the Thunder are losing 15 PPG and 8 RPG. Which is true. What's going to hurt more is the loss of athleticism, blocking, and defense. On a Thunder team that already has defense issues, this really hurts. The Spurs have TOO many weapons, and they cruise. Maybe 5 or 6 in this one.

Mighty failed to hit the board with Pablo Del Monte in the Preakness on Saturday and likes the Heat on Sunday. The deficit is 437 sirignanos.

Jamie Garcia is starting for Cards, hasn't pitched in a year. And SL bullpen is worn down, key top relievers Martinez and Rosenthal (7-8-9 inning guys) have both thrown in the Card's last 3-4 games, unusual. Replying to a capper who picked SL today. Sure SL might win, but wagering on Garcia is extremely questionable. 0 innings this year, 55 last year. I would wonder if Garcia will go > 3 innings today.
