Ted Sevransky on Sunday's top matchups

Baylor Bears versus Creighton Bluejays
The Bears had a relatively easy time in their opening-round win over Nebraska for two primary reasons. The Huskers didn't have the shooters to hit perimeter shots against the Baylor zone, finishing just 4-of-21 from 3-point range, and Baylor got all the calls, taking a whopping 48 free throw attempts. Neither scenario is likely to play out again here in the third round.
The Bluejays are loaded with perimeter sharpshooters -- it's not just NCAA Player of the Year Doug McDermott who can torch a defense from downtown. While the Bluejays aren't as physical as Nebraska defensively, they're also not likely to suffer a minus-32 deficit in free throw attempts like Nebraska did.
ATS pick: Creighton*

Wichita State Shockers versus Kentucky Wildcats
The Shockers' historic point-spread run continued in their Big Dance opener Friday. Forget the 35-0 straight-up record. The number that stands out in Vegas is Wichita State's 25-6-1 ATS mark; the single best full-season point-spread record for any team in college basketball in the past decade. The Shockers didn't come out of nowhere, as Gregg Marshall's squad reached the Final Four last year and returned most of their talent, yet they've been fighting for respect all year from bettors and pundits alike. Now they have a chance to finally earn some with a victory over John Calipari's inconsistent Wildcats. Kentucky might have more NBA talent on its roster, but Wichita State is both the better team and the undervalued commodity.
ATS pick: Wichita State*

Best bets from PJ Walsh

Tennessee Volunteers (minus-8) over Mercer Bears
In ESPN Insider's Best Tourney Bets for Saturday article, we contributed a Round of 32 betting system from our Bet Labs software with a 57.1 percent ATS win rate since 2005. This system takes advantage of larger favorites when teams have less time to devise a game plan and prepare for their opponents. It's surprising to see a No. 11 seed as such a large favorite, but Tennessee now gets to reap the benefits of Mercer's upset of Duke in the Round of 64. Our system likes favorites of greater than five points, and we'll gladly lay the points with the Vols, especially when we also get to fade Mercer's over-performance in its previous game.

Kansas Jayhawks (minus-5.5) over Stanford Cardinal
Even with Joel Embiid sidelined, Kansas has a clear talent advantage over Stanford. The basis of our Round of 32 betting system is that talent prevails on quick turnarounds in the NCAA tournament, and this matchup fits that theory perfectly. In these scenarios, we'll always lean toward the more talented team and will therefore lay the points with the Jayhawks in this game.

Arizona Wildcats (minus-6) over Gonzaga Bulldogs
Gonzaga is coming off an impressive victory over a more talented Oklahoma State team in the Round of 64, but Arizona will provide a plethora of matchup problems for the Bulldogs. While Gonzaga had plenty of time to prepare a game plan to neutralize Marcus Smart & Co., having only one day between games will make it difficult for Mark Few to replicate that success against the Wildcats. Once again, we'll rely on our Round of 32 betting system and take the more talented Arizona team in this game.

Gc: Ncaab

On Sunday the NCAAB play is on Wichita St. Game 722 at 2;45 eastern. Wichita is an amazing 35-0 and the line at 3-4 points is reasonable today. The Shockers will not get any line respect as a 1 seed purely because many feel they will falter against the major conference teams. They have cover...ed their only 2 recent games against SEC Teams and are a solid 15-1 to the spread vs winning teams. As a neutral court favorite of less than 4 the past few seasons they have covered 11 of 13. They were a final 4 team a year ago and will not wilt in a big game as they go 9 deep and have 5 guys who could take a last shot if necessary. Wichita has covered 6 of the last 7 NCAAB Tournament games and Have won and covered all 3 games vs top 50 RPI Schools this year. Kentucky is good but nearly what they were in past years and have lost 9 times this season. The Wildcats have failed to cover 9 of the last 13 after scoring 60 or less and are under .500 vs top 50 RPI Schools. Look for Wichita to make it 10 straight spread wins here and make it back to the Sweet 16. On Sunday we have 3 Powerful Plays up, led by the 6* 100% Tournament Total of the year with a huge system and several indicators. There is also a 96% Early 5* Side and a Triple Perfect NBA 5* Side to end the wee big. Jump on and get the weekending cash. For the NCAAB Play take Wichita St. GC
