I got this play at 7:00 A.M. Eastern on Christmas Eve. This line has been Pittsburgh -2 1/2 at most Vegas and offshore books, but it wouldn't surprise me if it goes to -3 by Sunday's kick off. As I always say, you don't sit on winners and that's why I released this play within 30 minutes of getting it. At the same time, this gives the best opportunity to buy down the half point at -2 1/2 right now. If this line goes to -3 or -3 1/2, or that's the price you get after shopping around, in those cases as well I advise you to buy down the half-point as insurance on the Steelers.

Over the years I have followed the Bookies Battle in GamingToday and have posted the plays on this forum.

The angle is to fade those teams that clearly have over 70% of the casino contestants picking one side.

Over the last couple of years, it seemed to hit around 60% - 65%.The only problem: Not a lot of action.

Observation

Indy -3 -120 in most houses

dont think i have ever seen that...

i would have to say by that...they are expecting manning to play
first half then out the second...

Indy a class act and a great organization... my thoughts are
they dont like the jets do to the defense they can play. I am betting
they will rest next week at cold outdoor buffalo ?

They are anything but. Both have "good" defenses to be sure, but no longer really top five caliber thanks to injuries. It just cannot be overstated how much the loss of Safety Troy Polamalu hurt the Steelers. With him in the lineup, they are 4-1 straight up with 10 takeaways. Without him, they are 3-6 SU with just six takeaways. They rank just 10th in points allowed after being first in that category last season. Last week, they were carved up by Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay to the tune of 36 points and 436 yards. Baltimore's defense commits an ungodly amount of pass interference penalties, which of course puts the opposition in good position to score. It also bears mentioning how prolific both teams offenses are. Both average 21 first downs per game. Pittsburgh is now a passing team. They have over 600 passing yards the L2 wks compared to just 140 yards on the ground. The same can be said of the Ravens, as they throw the ball 57.7% of the time compared to just 44% last year. Eight of the last nine meetings here in the Steel City have gone Over. Baltimore is 13-4 Over as a road underdog.
