Michael David Week 14
Selection: Denver Broncos
Another QB is getting some snaps in Arizona today while I potential future great may make more of appearance under center for Denver. Denver is coming off one of its better defensive performances this year holding the Chiefs in check. More importantly their running game showed signs of improvement and averaged more yards per carry then their opponent. The first time that has happened since week 10. Arizona comes in riding a 4 game loosing streak ATS and a dismal 1-5 mark at home this year. I don’t expect much out of Skelton and with the Broncos capable of putting up 35 on this team I don’t see the Cards hanging around.
Selection: New Orleans Saints
Ask yourself if Sam Bradford and the Rams can get into a shootout with Drew Brees and the Saints. A look back into the numbers and the Rams seem to come up short when they face a pass heavy offense. In these teams last 3 games the Saints are averaging more then 100 yards in total offense. The Saints are averaging 32 pts per game while the Rams are 24. Look a little deeper and you will see the Saints have scored 34, 30, and 34 pts. The Rams have scored 19, 36, and 17. One game can drastically change an average cant it? Look for the Rams to keep pace with the Falcons and expect Brees and Peyton to spreak the ball around and cruise to a 2 TD win.
Selection: Jacksonville Jaguars
The division leading Jags enter todays game riding a 5 game ATS spread. This offense is clicking at the right time but more importantly their defense is only letting up 288 yards a game in the past 3 games. On the flip side the Raiders who started out hot are letting up close to 400 yards a game now that their true colors have been shown. The better coach will cover this number today and we will continue to ride the hot hand in Jack Del Rio and the Jags.
Over/Under of the week: Over Saints
