401k sports NFL 4* play(13-5 on 4* plays)

4* HOUSTON -4 over Kansas City (1pm et)
Well we are going against the Chiefs again as our top play. The Texans one big weakness is versus the pass, but the Chiefs have been very poor throwing the ball. They fought hard last week against the Colts but managed just 260 total yards and 3 field goals. It is tough to go on the road in back2back weeks against these kind of offenses. The Texans are coming off a totally embarrassing loss at home last week to the Giants. They had less than 200 yards of offense but the Texans seem to be getting healthy and they have a bye next week. I do not see them wanting to go into that bye off back2back home losses. I also think that the Texans run game will be effective here which in turn will open up play action for Schaub. The Chiefs played alot of dime last week to try and take away the Colts passing game which did work but the Colts running game is not as strong as the Texans. I believe the Texans are ready to take out their frustration out on someone and looking ahead to the bye week to try and fix some things. Lets back the Texans at home today as our top play. Houston 28 Kansas city 17!!

Ice picks: Today's best NHL bets

Phoenix Coyotes at Anaheim Ducks (-127, 5.5)

The Ducks quacked under pressure again on Friday. Just two nights after an impressive 4-3 win over the Canucks, Anaheim squandered a two-goal, third-period lead and lost in a shootout to the visiting Thrashers.

Corey Perry was the goat of the game despite registering a goal and two assists. The team’s sniper took an ill-advised swing of his stick that resulted in a power-play goal and the start of an Atlanta comeback.

"We talked about it before the third period," Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller told the Orange County Register after the setback. "We talked in here about playing smart. About to keep pushing and not taking dumb penalties.

"It's not what we did out there. It can't happen."

Anaheim collected points for a second straight time but the mood in the Ducks locker room was a somber one.

"Usually one point is good," Teemu Selanne said. "But a 4-2 lead in the third period, in your own barn. It just felt like a loss."

Anaheim needs to get better in its own end. The club is allowing 43 shots a night and opponents have lit the lamp four or more times in four of the Ducks five games this season.

Pick: Over

Carolina Hurricanes at Vancouver Canucks (-180, 5.5)

A 4-1 loss in Los Angeles on Friday night left the Canucks with a mere four goals in their first seven games. That already matches their lowest four-game output from the entirety of last season.

"It's tough when you feel you're playing good, but not getting the goals you need from your chances," captain Henrik Sedin told the Vancouver Sun. "When we get chances, we're overdoing it; trying to get an empty net or an easy tap-in goal, which isn't going to happen in this league. We've been the better team. We've got to stay positive and be better where we need to be better."

Sixteen Vancouver players have not yet scored a goal this season. Among that bunch are Sedin, Ryan Kesler, Mikael Samuelsson, and Mason Raymond.

"I'm just trying to win hockey games," Kesler told the Sun. "It's not about me scoring goals. I'm just trying to give it my all out there and hope for the best."

Winning hockey games is not what the Canucks have been doing so far. They have lost two straight and are a disappointing 1-2-1 on the season.

Pick: Hurricanes
