Sorry about the late post. Two of them go off later.
Bob Balfe NFL Football Lions/Bears Over 40.5
Detroit is coming off a huge win for the first time in more than a year and just imagine what practice was like this week for them going in as winners preparing for a Bears Defense that is not as scary as they once were. The Bears are very thin at the linebacker position which should allow the bigger Lions offense to score points. Detroit is in a ton of trouble as both starters on the right side of their defensive line are out and the left side is questionable. The Lions defense is bad to begin with and it could be a field day for Jay Cutler. Look for both teams to score a lot. Take the Over.
New England -1.5 over Baltimore
No offense to the Ravens, but they have played some weak opponents with key injuries and still could not dominate except for last week at home against the pathetic Bears. New England has shown us they can be beaten, but not yet at home. The Patriots crushed the Falcons last week at home and now are starting to get key players back that missed the game that they lost in New York. Baltimore has played well on offense, but they really have not been tested by a good defense. Look for New England to win at home.
Miami +1 over Buffalo
The Buffalo offensive line is injured, young and not that good. Miami should bring pressure all game rattling Edwards. T.O and Edwards have yet to find chemistry and something tells me T.O is about to blow his cool and become a distraction for yet another team. On offense the Dolphins took a huge blow losing Pennington, but Henne is a capable backup. The real key in this game will be can the Bills stop the Dolphins Wildcat Offense and how can they do it without Corner McKelvin done for the year and both starting safeties out of this game. Look for the Dolphins to have their way on offense while the Bills suck wind in a hot humid environment they are not used too. Take the Dolphins.
Jets +7.5 over Saints
This Jets team is too good on defense to be such a big dog. The Saints are off to a hot start but again this team has not played stiff competition and Brees might have a tough time today without his starting left guard and starting backup left guard in the lineup. This Jets 3-4 defense is different from what the Saints usually see in the NFC. The Jets have a big physical offense and can run the ball well which will keep the Saints offense off the field. New York also has a good return game with Washington and Leonard who might have field days on this quick turf. Take the Jets.
Redskins -7.5 over Bucs
Tampa is going with QB Josh Johnson today as Leftwich looked horrible the first few weeks. There is no way the offense will get back on track on the road with a new QB and their starting center out of this game. The timing alone will be so messed up. People are betting against Washington because they lost to the Lions, but Detroit is not the same Detroit of 2008. The Washington Defense is good and should confuse Tampa all day. Look for Portis to get hot running the ball today. The Bucs Defense has given up a ton of big plays which could be all the Skins need to have a breakout game. Take Washington.
