Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants (-4): Just wait, Andy Reid will let Eagle backers down with poor play calling sooner or later, I’ll bet sooner. The Eagles will stop running, start throwing three yard stop patterns on 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 7, and that’s when the frustration on blogs and message boards will hit an all time high. Nobody is playing better than the Eagles right now, and why not, look at all that talent on that team. Young and veteran players alike, new Eagles and old Eagles - this team certainly has the talent to make an unlikely trip to the Big Show. But, that play calling - the “not to lose” attitude that seems to ward off momentum like the Bills and Super Bowl Trophies - that will get the Eagles in the end. The Giants have already lost once to the Eagles, and got a tight win earlier in the year as well - these teams know each other, that’s for sure. But Brandon Jacobs seems fully healthy and back, and he’s a battering ram weapon that New York didn’t have last time these two went at it - not in full health anyway - but even then, his 10 carries for 52 yards might have been a precursor of what is to come when he gets 20 or more totes this weekend. This is a tough one for me, because the Eagles are so up and down and this game is huge. But the Giants aren’t so up and down, they are just flat out good and play to win the game every time out. I’ll take my chances with them.

San Diego Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5): I feel as good about this game as I did about the Ravens last week - I think the Steelers cover easily, winning by double digits. Now, that’s not their style, I understand - but that’s the way I see it. This same Steelers team came in and stomped the Chargers in Pittsburgh earlier this year - well, physically stomped them anyway, the score was an improbable 11-10 and a Charger cover for sure. But it was an unlikely set of circumstances that finished with the Steelers needing a late field goal to win it. LT was held to 57 yards on 18 carries while the highest rated quarterback this season, Philip Rivers, was eaten up by Pittsburgh’s defense, completing 15 of 26 tosses for just 159 yards 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions; easily his worst game of the season. On the other hand, Willie Parker had 115 rushing yards, and Big Ben threw for over 300 yards as well. The Steelers just couldn’t get it in the end zone. I doubt it if the same story is played out this week. Big Ben, Hines Ward, ***** Miller, and a defense full of absolute beasts that have been here before - I give them the advantage in this one, and advantage I don’t see them wasting against an inferior Chargers team.

SAN DIEGO AT PITTSBURGH (NFL PLAYOFFS) 1ST HALF: STEELERS -3.5
GAME SPREAD: STEELERS -6
The Steelers offense is going to come alive on the Chargers at Heinz Field. The place will be absolutely rocking and Philip Rivers is not going have fun AT ALL against the Pittsburgh defense. I think the Steelers are going to mess with them. I don't think Sproels will do jack against that Pittsburgh defense. This is going to be Big Ben and Pittsburgh holding on to the football all night. They'll run it with Parker and Moore--and throw it to Hines Ward and Holmes. Watch out for ***** Miller catching 4 passes at least. Just when you think you have this Steeler team figured out they burn you. They have had rest and that Chargers-Colts affair took a lot out of San Diego. I think you notice it. That SD just does not have the juice left in the tank to win this one on the road in crappy cold weather and 60 thousand drunks screaming like mad !
GAME TOTAL: OVER 38

PHILADELPHIA AT NEW YORK (NFL PLAYOFFS) 1ST HALF: EAGLES +3
GAME SPREAD: GIANTS -4
I think the game will be tied or a one or two point differential at the half and then the Giants are going to win it by a TD in the 4TH QTR. It's going to be a great game, like always when these two hook up. One big play will make the difference and break the other teams back in the second half. The battle up front will be key because I reallyu believe that Brandon Jacobs will be counted on inside the red-zone for the Giants late in this game and that means the Super Bowl Champs offensive line will have to get him a hole to pound through for the game winner. Philly is good and I respect them, but they aren't winning twice in the Meadowlands in a row.
GAME TOTAL: OVER 40

At 1pm, Giants will take the field and by the time I am starting on the lasagna, should be comfortably ahead by 10 points. Yes, Eagles have momentum, Yes, they have Westbrook, Yes, they have Dawkins, but No, they will not win here. If the Vikes can sack McNabb a few times, and chase him a few more, the Giants D is going to put him down on the cold turf many times today. A heavy dose of Jacobs and Ward will soften up the Philly D, and open up the underneath stuff for Boss and Toomer.
This is a 3 soppressatta special, 3 large on the G-Men

Later, I'll settle in and root for the SteelCity boys and their beloved Steelers. Let's see, no Tomlinson, Hmm, a small speed back against a strong, physical, and quick defense, Hmm, and an overly cocky Rivers, coupled with a main receiver, who allegedly was DUI on Tuesday, nothing like training hard, vs Polumalu and his crew, Hmm. I'll have the Steelers - 6 1/2, please. The boys in Pitt are going love it, when the Steelers go old school today, and run, run, and run some more.
Let's make this a 2 soppressate bet, 1.5 large on Pitt, and we will lay a 1/2 yard on the under, due to my belief Chargers won't put up more than 12pts, and that's if that Sally kicker of theirs is ready

Stan Sharp | NFL Side Triple-Dime Bet
306 NYG -4.0 (-110) BetUS vs 305 PHI
Analysis: Stan is Betting NY GIANTS today. Last week Philadelphia was life and death with Minnesota as the Game was 16-14 midway thru 4th Q until Westbrook broke off that 70 yd TD on a screen pass. Look for the NY Giants to dominate the Eagles by keeping constant pressure on McNabb. Stan has the Giants winning by 10-13 points. TAKE NY GIANTS as STAN'S NFC PLAYOFF GAME OF THE YEAR and make them a TRIPLE DIME PLAY.
