2-Unit Play. Take #953 Under 8.5 between Washington Nationals vs. New York Mets (Monday @ 7:10pm est).
We've hit the Nationals Under time and time again. Today will be no different. The last two times these two teams have played, the games have gone under as well in this series. Shockingly to some, the Nationals have won both of those games on the road and in part due to their great pitching. We have been on the Nationals time and time again for rightful reasons as we have seen the talent and capacity of this team this entire season. Heck, there is a reason why this team is rising and atop many of the usual teams in the NL East. I like Atilano coming off his rough outing against the Braves. Luis has pitched back to back quality starts prior to that start as he gave up just three runs in 12 innings until his most recent start when he gave up six runs in just over five innings. After some early rough starts, Maine has come a long way. Maine has put together back to back quality starts giving up just three runs in 12 innings. In fact, over his last nearly 16 innings he has given up jus four runs. Considering that his era stands at nearly 6, these starts have really brought down what was once an even higher era. I like Maine to continue pitching strong and look to put together yet another quality start along with Luis as likely another game in this series, similar to the first two, go under the posted total.
