BALTIMORE RAVENS +3.5

Look at the schedule. Green Bay is on a roll. Two of their wins are over Detroit, a win over Cleveland, a bad loss to Tampa Bay, and a win against an average San Fran team at home. The Ravens are 10-4 ATS their last 14 road games and this is a MUST WIN with Pitt losing yesterday and Cincy winning, any shot at the playoffs and they have to win this game. 60% chance of snow. The team with the better running game and defense is getting points. Yes it is a road team, but Ray Rice will get his yards, and Aaron Rodgers is the most sacked QB in the game, and although Suggs is out for the Ravens, this defense can and will stunt blitz all night.

Play 1 Unit on Baltimore.

GREEN BAY PACKERS -3.5

Critical game for both teams' Wild Card chances, but the Packers have homefield advantage and are the better team. They are well rested, having 11 days off since their Thanksgiving Day cakewalk over Detroit (won 34-12). Baltimore is just 2-3 on the road and visitors are 0-3 SU/ATS all-time in this series. The sack issue that plagued Green Bay the first eight weeks is now gone as they have given up just 1.3 sacks per game over the last three weeks. The Ravens defense is not what it once was. Green Bay is 30-6 SU its last 36 December games here at Lambeau. Most importantly, Monday Night Football favorites coming off a division win are 48-18 ATS or 83% winners since 1983! Green Bay is our #1 Non-Conference NFL Play of the Week.

Golden State Warriors (6-13) at Oklahoma City Thunder (10-9)

The struggling Warriors have dropped their last three games, just 2-8 on the road this season. However, Golden State has been a lucrative wager versus the Thunder in Oklahoma City. Golden State is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 games and is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 eight meetings against the Thunder at Ford Center.

GREEN BAY –3½ over Baltimore

This game will most definitely have an impact on the playoff race, as both teams are in a position to make it and both will decide its on fate based on the last five games. What’s interesting here is that the Pack last played on Thanksgiving Thursday and thus, they’ve had an extra four days off. So, let’s have a look at the teams that played on Thanksgiving Thursday and had the extra time off. In the first Thanksgiving game the Packers went into Detroit. Yesterday, the Lions covered in Cincinnati. The second game featured Oakland playing in Dallas and the Raiders won outright as a 14½-point pooch. Dallas lost in New York but the Giants also played on Thanksgiving, in Denver, so that one is a wash. As for the Broncos, well they torched the Chiefs in what might’ve been the most lopsided game of the day. Thus, all teams that played with the extra rest this late in the year all showed up yesterday with great results. Also consider that the Ravens played last Sunday night in a prime time match-up against its biggest rival, the Steelers, and won in OT. That was a huge and emotional win and that makes this assignment even more difficult. Man for man, these two are pretty damn close but the Packers are at home, they’re much more rested and they’ll feature the best QB on the field here. Oh, by the way, the Ravens once feared defense is no longer feared at all. Play: Green Bay –3½ (Risking 2.06 units to win 2).

Atlanta –1.05 over TORONTO

Proving the adage that there's no better deodorant that winning, the Leafs have erased most of the negative feelings of their brutal start over the past few games and seem to have a new energy about them. However, a few wins doesn’t mean the Leafs are devoid of problems and there’s a couple worth pointing out here. First, and this always comes up when discussing the Leafs, there’s the goaltending, where Joey Macdonald, Vesa Toskala or Jonas Gustavsson has not shown any consistency whatsoever. All three can’t be trusted. Secondly, the Leafs home record is the worst in the NHL. Toronto has just two home wins in 13 games. The problem here for the Leafs in relation to the aforementioned is that the Thrashers have been wickedly good on the road with nine wins in 12 games. Furthermore, Atlanta has one of the most potent attacks in the game and those two things combined make this a very challenging assignment for the Maple Leafs. Play: Atlanta –1.05 (Risking 2.10 units to win 2).

Minnesota +1.25 over PHOENIX

Two hot teams go at it here. The Wild have reeled off five in a row while the Coyotes have won four straight. The difference is that the Wild are taking back a tag and they’re scoring at an eye-opening rate. In fact, Minnesota has scored five goals in each of the past three games and in four of its past five games. They’ve badly outplayed some decent teams and included in their current run is two straight wins over the then red-hot Predators. They scored five times in both those wins over that stingy defense in Nashville. Bottom line is you just can’t ignore a price on the Wild when you consider what they’ve accomplished recently. They’re definitely feeling it right now. Play: Minnesota +1.25 (Risking 2 units).

Siena visits New Rochelle with Edwin Ubiles feeling confident about his knee, which he rested against Georgia Tech in Siena's latest loss. Even as a decoy to be out there with his game-changing athleticism, I like his impact on a Saints team that wants to take advantage of Iona's collective youth, as confidence was shaken in an unexpected home loss to St. Peter's in the MAAC opener. Scott Machado missed a game-tying layup and now has to deal with pesky Ronald Moore making his life miserable for 40 minutes. Alejo Rodriguez and Jonathan Huffman aren't the toughest, most-tested forwards out there, and they'll have to deal with the tireless Alex Franklin and Ryan Rossiter, seniors who see the Iona uniform and ramp it up a notch. So long as the Saints don't keep Iona around my missing FTs, they can win by double-figures here. Lay the 4.5.

After losing at Michigan State, the Terriers had a quick turnaround to get ready for this SoCon challenge from ASU, which has beaten them five of the last six times. Isaiah Butts' size gives the hard-nosed Wofford squad trouble, and Josh Hunter adds another option that the hosts will have to worry about inside. Five of Wofford's results have come by five points or less and this one should be a tight one, too, with Jeremi Booth joining Donald Sims and Kellen Brand as perimeter scorers. Back Ap State +7.

Forward Mike Scott is questionable with a high ankle sprain and won't be at 100 percent if he does go, so Auburn will be able to have an easier time of it on the boards. Sylvan Landesberg can't do it all, and Lucas Hargrove is a tough adversary for him if he doesn't have to be busy helping Johnnie Lett with Scott. With Tay Waller back to take pressure of DeWayne Reed and Frankie Sullivan with his 3-point stroke, the Tigers have the ingredients in place for a breakthrough win, with a better effort no doubt coming following the weekend's loss to Troy. Lay the 4.

The 49ers still haven't gotten Larry Anderson and T.J. Robinson to fuse together in the same game, and it wouldn't be too shocking to see the challenge ahead of them in Austin get them going, if only for stretches. Depth is a major issue for the 49ers, but Dan Monson does have his most talented squad at Long Beach, Eugene Phelps to bang in the post, and a long-range shooter in Stephen Gilling that can pick up points in a hurry. Take the Beach +22.

The Spartans have been struggling to find their way, so Tom Izzo wants them to grow as a unit, and hopes this stop to foreign territory, in a small gym where they have to keep the crowd from getting involved, brings the best out of them. Delvon Roe is continuing to progress and should dominate inside, while guards Lucious, Lucas and Allen will be too much for Cam Wells and Zach Urbanus. Lay the 15.

The Friars welcome in an in-state rival that just got throttled by Tubby Smith's Minnesota squad up in Minneapolis on Saturday, and Brown appears to be having trouble establishing any checmistry despite a number of holdovers from last year's squad. Providence has lost three of five, blowing opportunities to defeat Boston College and Rhode Island the last two times out. Keno Davis is still tinkering with rotations, but considering the need to build confidence with Big Ten play around the corner, look for him to put his best Friars lineup out there to get some momentum going. Back Providence to win by 30 or close to it, making the 19.5 we're dropping here seem trivial.

After getting drilled by Texas, the Catamounts have won six straight and visit Peoria eager to knock off a team that's beaten Illinois. Unfortunately for the Braves, that win has put a bullseye on their backs, and they're far too reliant on the 3-pointer for that not to catch up with them. Brigham Waginger is one of the SoCon's top point guards and will manage the tempo, and WCU is very stingy vs. the 3-pointer, allowing opponents to shoot 25.5 percent from beyond the arc. Back Western Carolina plus the points here.
