Insider Angles
The Oklahoma State Cowboys are 13-2 and flirting with entering the national rankings, while the Oklahoma Sooners are a disappointing 9-6, but we still cannot go against the Sooners as slight home underdogs in this spot.

After all, all six of the Oklahoma losses have come away from home as they are a perfect 7-0 in this building while defeating their Division I opponents by an impressive average of +18.7 points. Their defense is only allowing 62.3 points per game on 40.6 percent shooting at home, far below their road averages, and they have blown out Arkansas and Arizona here in non-conference play.

As for the Cowboys, both of their losses have come on the road and both have come vs. questionable opposition in Rhode Island and Tulsa, and this appears to be their toughest road assignment to date. In fact, they have won just one true road game all year, as they have won nine games at home and three on neutral courts, and the lone road win came in overtime vs. a disappointing Utah team.

Also, despite the disparity in the records of these teams, it is Oklahoma that is actually more efficient after adjusting for schedule according to the Pomeroy Ratings. The Sooners are averaging 1.119 points per possession, ranking them 32 in the country, while Oklahoma reports home at 81 with an offensive PPP of 1.071.

That fact combined with home court should be enough for Oklahoma to defeat the favored Cowboys for the fifth straight time in this arena.
