nah if we do indeed have a major down market move

commodities will likely go with it, and moreso on the PM side of things

today dollar, gold, and oil down

almost everybody gets slaughtered when markets really get their tank on

commodities not just booming cause of dollar, also has to do to world economies going nutso on a global scale

when the 87 crash happened gold and especially PMs got slaughtered

this is why i think the big move is coming

bulls are fine with be long and the fact that dollar is in the crapper

bears have been beat to shit for years and have given up on the short side of things and just happy letting dollar fall and being long commodities

coupon cutting a waste of time the reward/time spent doing it not worth it

as for sales when i go shopping i look for them etc

but in general the only real "shopping" i do is for clothes when my crap gets old

other than that i'm just a bare necessity consumer well other than my vices

Borodog's prediction from 2+2 made several months ago.

Currently there are trillions of USD being held outside of the US. As the USD slips, those holdings lose value. So all those holding them have a depreciating asset. At some point, the rats are going to desert that ship. This will precipitate the sell-off of USD, and their international value will literally plummet (imho of course).

Once the international value tanks, people are going to be stuck with all these devalued dollars. They will try to recoup their losses. How will they do that? They will buy up anything and everything they can get their hands on that they can buy with USD. But the only place that will be will be the United States. Exports will skyrocket. Foreign investors will buy up American real estate and companies, you name it. The trade deficit will become a trade surplus (which is not a good thing, no matter what Lou [censored] Dobbs thinks). All of those dollars flowing back into our economy will creat massive double digit inflation.

Meanwhile, our inflation-bubbled economy is certainly going to pop at the same time, meaning we will get a massive recession. We'll have massive inflation and a recession, just like the 1970s.

The value of gold will skyrocket as people look to get out of USD that are losing value daily. This happened at the end of the 70s as well. Gold hit $800 per ounce in late '79. In today's inflated dollars that's like $2400. Currently it's at like $735 and climbing _fast_.

Central banks prevented gold form spontaneously remonetizing in 1980 by instituting massive gold dumping to crash the market value of gold and convince people that their inflation hedge bet had failed. It worked. Central banks have been gold dumping off and on for 30 years to control the price of gold.

But my gut feeling is that there is not enough gold left in the central banks of the entire world to prevent it again. So the dollar will crash, we will get a massive recession + massive inflation and a flight to gold. The price of gold will double or triple or quadruple. Central banks will dump gold, but it will fail. If they do try this, and the price of gold crashes, you should buy as much as you can, because when they do this they will be putting real money back into circulation and you want to have as much of it as you can get. Gold will spontaneously remonetize, and the world fiat currency order will collapse.

That's my theory.

So far, exports have been skyrocketing and the world is buying up our assets. How much longer till the trade deficit turns to a surplus, then we can get to the fun stuff, like double digit price inflation.

stupid weather :missingte

shaping up to be an ugly holiday season for retailers so far

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

U.S. chain store sales slowest October growth since 1995
Thu Nov 8, 2007 3:31pm EST

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. chain store sales grew by 1.6 percent year-over-year in October, the slowest growth for the month since 1995, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc (ICSC).

The 1.6 percent increase in October was slightly slower than the 1.7 percent year-over-year growth recorded for September.

Unseasonably warm weather in the U.S. throughout October hurt clothing sales, as it did in September, and kept the overall industry performance down, the ICSC said.

"Over the last two months, retailers have struggled with the warm weather's negative impact on retail spending," said Michael Niemira, ICSC's chief economist and director of research. "However, for the November-December period, we are expecting a marked improvement from the very sluggish September-October performance," Niemira said.

"We expect a 2.5 percent year-over-year sales increase for November," he added.

ICSC Chain Store Sales Trends is a monthly report on the U.S. retail industry's sales performance based on an ICSC preliminary compilation of publicly-available sales for 44 chain stores during the month of October.

Founded in 1957, ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry with more than 70,000 members in 92 countries.

Question WOOF

Im only going to list a handful of stocks for I own too many stocks to list them all and I dont want to feel responsible if I forget to post I sold something.

There is a thread in the rx financial forum about longterm buys started by another poster. If my top holding changes, Ill most likely have it listed there.

If I had to buy one stock and one stock only it would be SSRI (silver standard resources.

Divide your 75k into 15 (5k) pieces and this how I think you should invest it.

1. Tomorrow at market opening buy 5k worth of SSRI
2. Tomorrow at market opening buy 5k worth of PNPFF (pinetree)
3. Tomorrow at market opening buy 5k worth of AUY (yamana gold)
4. Tomorrow at market opening buy 5k worth of GG (gold corp)
5. Tomorrow at market opening buy 5k worth of AAUK (anglo platinum)

6-7. Tomorrow take 10k to a coin dealer in your city and buy or order (lock in price when ordering) 10k worth of gold kruggerands. Use any residual amount of funds from that 10k to buy any scrap pre 1964 silver quarters.

EXACTLY 4 WEEKS FROM TOMORROW, REGARDLESS OF PRICE MOVES UP OR DOWN BUY THE LISTED BELOW STOCKS:

8. Buy 5k worth of SSRI
9. Buy 5k worth of PNPFF
10. Buy 5k worth of AUY
11. Buy 5k worth of PAAS (pan am silver)
12. Buy 5k worth of GOLD (randgold)
13. Buy 5k worth of SLW (silver wheaton)

14-15-15a. Go to same coin dealer and buy 10k worth of gold k-rands. If any residual is left out of that 10k, if you dont already own a pistol or shotgun for your home, buy one of each and dont forget to buy extra ammo.

That should complete your 75k.

We'll probably meet someday at a fema camp.

In this proposal you don't mention goldmoney.com Can we use goldmoney.com instead of going to the coin dealer OR is it best to continue to OWN the coins?? THANK YOU

A high roller like yourself should be able to buy both physical coins and goldmoney.com

A paid my fucking dentist 2500 this week to fix some dental problems.

He asked me if I had any stock tips and I told him no and hes been taken off my freebie list.

You guys are overpaid, dammit.
