Wonder how the market reacts if Trump wins. Definitely could create a lot of uncertainty.

Would be for the best to accelerate what needs to be done probably.

That's the bottom line.

Vote Hillary for the same old shit... yet again...
or vote Trump for change.

Nah eek.. Last paragraph sums things up well.. See "hope and change" Obama who in the end became just another establishment puppet...

Trump a false idol for change for right much like Obama was for the left..

only real potential change I see with trump is the bad direction as economy implodes during his tenure... dark German type change ...

2016 Election Decision Is "Cholera Or Gonorrhea"; Julian Assange "Would Prefer Neither"

Julian Assange sat down with Democracy Now to discuss Wikileaks’ recent release of the DNC leak emails and his perspective on the looming election.
For WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, choosing between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is like choosing between two ugly diseases:
"Well, you’re asking me, do I prefer cholera or gonorrhea?"
"Personally, I would prefer neither."
Assange notes that the prospect of a Trump presidency is "completely unpredictable" but the Wikileaks' founder believes one thing is inevitable...
"Look, I think - you know, we know how politics works in the United States."
"Whoever, whatever political party gets into government is going to merge with the bureaucracy pretty damn fast. It will be in a position where it has some levers in its hand. And so, as a result, corporate lobbyists will move in to help control those levers. So it doesn't make much difference in the end."
Here is the full 15 minute interview...

Julian Assange

Now he's a classic case of autistic, an intelligent but disconnected male.
He can only do logic tiz, and he doesn't even have a pet fucking goldfish, never mind a dog or even a woman.

I don't agree with everything he says just saying what he said there is spot on.. President is meaningless.. It's all one big one party system of status quo..

JFK was last guy that attempts true change.. And he got offed..

reagan talked like a ron Paul in his campaign.. And tried to get him (saw Hinkley getting released soon)... After that event he became a neocon puppet.. And went with the flow...

Change is change Tiz
Better to be a poor free man than a rich slave
Western society is polarising

Brexit was all "you're going to be poor if you do this!" bla bla bla

People KNOW INSTINCTIVELY that things have to change radically if there's going to be any hope for the future

If trump actually gets in id be completely shocked if he truely is willing to put his life on the line for real change.. Other than change in the wrong direction (more fascist)...

guy a cult of personality tv personality.. He's selling himself and it's all about him.. He will do exactly what they tell him should he actually win.. Little doubt in that...

reagan talked like a ron Paul in his campaign...

Ronnie was suffering from alzheimers from day one of that campaign. He proved to the world that the President of the USA doesn't need to be anything more than a glove puppet. America is run by the men who stand behind the president

However, someone like Trump won't be so easy to manipulate
Will be intriguing to see whether he goes the same way as Kennedy, or whether they have enough leverage to make him into another glove puppet

Europeans slag the yanks off for being backward about stuff but the USA has a habit of being the place where political shit happens in the western world
The USA "runs the world" for a good reason, they ain't stupid, and while "United Kingdom" has taken a temporary lead in this particular horse race I expect "American people" to suddenly produce a spurt at the next election.

Mao tried to change his society for the better in the 1960s and called it "the cultural revolution", slight problem though... he left himself in charge, tsk tsk tsk so it was all a big fat mess and achieved nothing significant.
Big changes in the UK when King Henry the 8th disbanded the church(Catholicism) though. Their entire bureaucracy was dismantled and British society was left in organised chaos from 1500. The upshot from this massive change was the British Empire followed by the Industrial revolution.

Nowadays we're stuck in that "catholic clergy" phase of society in the west. Corruption. Greed. Bureaucracy. Lawyers run everything. Political dogma. Ruling classes. Less and less freedom for individuals. etc etc etc.

With any luck we'll live long enough to see the next breakout, and whoever does it will be leading the pack over the next few hundred years

Bush also talked like Paul in his campaign when it came to foreign policy.

Then 9/11 happened and we overreacted which changed everything unfortunately.

Ireland jails some bankers from 2008.
Even a cut and dried case like this one has taken 8 years to investigate, organise and put through the courts

Anglo Irish Bank: Former executives jailed over fraud

Two former executives of the notorious Anglo Irish Bank have been jailed in Dublin after being convicted of conspiracy to defraud.

John Bowe and Willie McAteer misled depositors, lenders and investors by making the bank's corporate deposits look larger than they were.

McAteer has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years and Bowe to two years.

Co-conspirator Denis Casey, the former chief of Irish Life and Permanent, was given two years and nine months.

The fraud involved so-called circular transactions, which were designed to disguise the true state of the bank's financial health.

I've come to the conclusion that I not only want to sit on the sidelines but I now want to actively short the market as I feel financial and economic contraction is near at worst, at best we chop along.

What are some of the best ways to do this? Probably don't want to deal with individual stocks although a lot of the high beta/no earnings tech stuff will get hit the hardest.

2x or 3x bear market inverse ETF is probably the most aggressive you can get right?

Oh the irony..

A Muslim father who's son died fighting in a bullshit war that was sold to us on a pile of lies and has led to increased destabilization in the Middle East ... may end up putting an end to trump..

Yeah, I know it decays very quickly. Probably too risky.

Maybe just short S&P? or Nasdaq?

A lot of weakness in oil right now, even with S&P peak, it has gone from 50 to 40.
