Syria: At least 85 civilians feared dead after US air strike 'mistake' Syria: Dramatic drone footage shows fighting over Aleppo battlefield IBTimes UK

At least 85 civilians, including almost a dozen children, have been killed after US air strikes targeted an area in northern Syria held by Islamic State (Isis/Daesh) fighters, a monitoring group has said.
Some eight families were reportedly wiped out in the IS-controlled village of Tokhar near Manbij on Tuesday (19 July), in what could be one of the deadliest bombings of civilians by coalition forces since the start of operations in the country.
More from IBTimes UK
The Turkey-based Syrian Institute for Justice said it feared the death toll could be far higher as rescuers continued to pull bodies from the rubble. Photographs of the aftermath showed several half-buried children being retrieved.

The US military confirmed it had conducted air strikes in the area and said it was investigating claims of civilian deaths.

One of the "good" guys we are supporting beheads 10 yo

[h=1]US-backed militants' beheading of Syrian kid stirs outrage[/h]A new video posted online showing US-backed Syrian terrorists brutally beheading a child has caused public outrage.
The footage, which circulated on social media on Tuesday, showed a member of the Nureddin al-Zenki opposition militant group, which is supported by the US, cutting off the small boy's head with a knife on a public road in Aleppo's opposition-controlled al-Mashhad neighborhood.
Before being killed, the boy, who could be as young as 10, is shown on the back of a truck being taunted by militants, who accuse him of being a member of al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement, which fights alongside the Syrian government forces.
However, the Palestinian group issued a statement, denying the boy was a member, but rather identifying him as a 12-year-old Palestinian refugee.
Local residents denounced the beheading, saying it tarnished the image of the Syria opposition.
"How could they slaughter a child like this?" said 25-year-old Bassel Zein, a barber in the opposition-held al-Kalasseh neighborhood of Aleppo, adding, "He should have been tried in a fair way” and maybe exchanged in a prisoner swap “instead of this heinous act.”
An Aleppo mosque imam, Mohamed Badawi, also described the execution, which is forbidden in the holy faith of Islam, as “the work of criminals”.
Nureddin al-Zenki militant group, which is largely based in Syria’s Aleppo Province, has received military support channeled from Turkey, including US-made anti-tank missiles.
Earlier this month, Amnesty International said the militant group was among several opposition outfits committing war crimes and other violations of international law.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-sponsored militancy since March 2011.
The Daesh terrorists have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, such as public decapitations and crucifixions, against all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians in areas they have overrun in the Arab country.
The Takfiri elements have suffered major setbacks over the past few months as the Syrian army forces have managed to liberate a number of areas from the grip of the extremists.

You really think the ruling Baathist dudes could hold Iraq from sectarian violence with no US troop presence?

Absolutely
Saddam and his buddies took zero prisoners, remember the poison gas attack he carried out on that town?
No-one dared to mess with the Baathists, they were secularist psychos

Regime change in Iraq and Syria has taken the highest priority in Iraq and Syria Pat, certainly where US foreign policy is concerned, and both regimes were Islamist hating secularist regimes

The "war on terror" has been a bit of a straw man strategy

Yeah, other than the fact he was coked up and a little too hyper, I thought it was good.

Surprised the crowd was so willing to cheer when he was basically lecturing them about interventionist policies and culture wars. They're probably just too stupid to know what he was saying.

What you think of Gary Johnson Tiz

I doubt he gets in the debates but there is a chance with how unpopular these two are. He doesn't really seem that sharp on his feet unfortunately.

yeah Johnson has legit track record governing in NM. But yeah, he kinda focuses on the legalize pot, relaxed on social issues aspect of libertarianism rather than sound money and fiscal conservatism.

Be interesting to see if wikileaks has any bombshells but I doubt it. Probably just basic party politics stuff.

What you think of Trump's chances Tiz

He is definitely live. I like his chances to win FL and OH, but he'll need a few more states.

The whole facade of America being this grand place of freedom and liberty for all is slowly being stripped away bit by bit

again obvious to anybody paying attention and thinking critically... But most won't believe it till it slaps them in face with tons of clear evidence..
