Yeah I enjoyed it but like you say they gloss over things and don't pin blame where they should as was obviously gonna be the outcome.. Media controlled by the status quo protectors..

I don't think the reason goes that deep. I just think hollywood would rather make a movie about greed and underhanded practices rather than about failed policy that had unintended consequences. McKay a liberal guy too, seen a few interviews with him.

Yeah I dunno what his goals really are. I think anyone who pretends they do is kidding themselves.

It is possible that just not being beholden to special interests would be a huge advantage in making positive change, but in his case I really doubt it. Putin gave him a compliment and he gushed over it, doubt he is gonna be able to crackdown that seriously when people kissing his ass.

Maybe he is just saying stuff he knows people want to hear and he will govern far more practically, hire the best people but really put the pressure and demand on them to get things done. It's tough to say.

I think the guy is out of his mind and hope he fades, but he certainly has more upside than the empty suits we've accustomed to.

he seems to have a very dictatorial type attitude.. And with the way the president can abuse executive orders makes that scary for me.. Maybe he's just having some fun/a shideshow to get Hillary (she's scary too) elected as you have this huge schism in the gop now? Never know true intentions nowadays

That's the biggest problem for me too

Under the current setup it's probably easier for a President to start a major war as opposed to getting a healthcare bill through both houses

Plus Trump is a sharp cookie, his real estate track record proves that he can understand and utilise multiple relevant parameters to achieve his personal goals in a field full of direct competitors.

It won't take him long to grasp the intricacies of the government machine and get it working for him

An intriguing individual

I had a look at his profile and found his potential Achilles heel

Taxes

Even if he wins the nomination he'll probably do a Mitt Romney crash and burn job on his Taxes
Hardworking hardcore Republican voters really really hate tax dodgers, they simply stay at home on polling day

* * basic income * * is probably the worst idea the Socialist has invented yet.

Canuck Socialists basically tell anyone if they want to retire when they turn 18, they can.

Last night was the first time the lightbulb went off in my head that he has an excellent chance to do it. Seeing him crush MI with all the controversy he has had over the last few weeks and Hilary struggle vs Bernie Sanders, it just became real.

I don't know if he'll win, he could implode at any moment, but I definitely think if he doesn't mess up and he can make it through the debates without getting killed then he could be the president. Tough to say how he will react in the debates with Hillary, she is a policy wonk and he knows very little, can't just repeat the same 3 canned responses. You couldn't study non-stop for 5-6 months and be able to debate Hillary on those issues, and I doubt he is studying much anyway.

She's a really weak candidate though, seems to have no enthusiasm whatsoever. Just think the stars aligning for Trump. Let's hope he is a benevolent dictator.

Just right person, right place, right time it feels like.

Welfare? We don't need no stinkin' welfare !

Well... actually... the corporate welfare bitch is alive and thriving !

General Motors spent $1.9 million on contributions, $63.5 million on lobbying and made $2.6 billion in federal business and $67.4 billion in federal support.

Between 2007 and 2012, 200 of America’s most politically active corporations spent a combined $5.8 billion on federal lobbying and campaign contributions. A year-long analysis by the Sunlight Foundation suggests, however, that what they gave pales compared to what those same corporations got: $4.4 trillion in federal business and support.

Last Trump post:
There are some good signs, he's got 5 kids and has married 3 beautiful women so far, so he enjoys life and he's unlikely to push the button
