Addict, you are applying common sense and logic and forgetting what whores the NBA is to temporary resolutions.

David Stern and the owners apparently have 0 common sense considering they voted 28 to 2 that the Sonics should move to OKC instead of staying in Seattle. Fucking disgrace.

they voted to let them go because seattle didnt make an effort to get a new arena, which set off alarm that they didnt care about the franchise and would just let it fall to the wayside. a up to date arena shows you care. seattle got lazy, okc got lucky, and now seattle will have to wait and put up a new arena to get the league back there.

i see okc as a similar situation as utah

seattle called the nba's bluff and lost.

I know you may not agree, but I believe it was a good bet by the city. I am so sick of cities being held hostage by these teams. Let all these teams move, eventually these smaller markets will wake up and realize that aside from keeping strippers employed, there aren't that many benefits to having sports teams in their city.

The NBA lied though, sir. Stern said as soon as a settlement was reached that a remodel could be done on Key Arena. Typical of the crooked commisioner to say that. I know you are obsessed with the NBA, but face it bro, the NBA is a fucked up league whether you want admit it or not.

I see OKC as the new Memphis, New Orleans, or Charlotte. If Kalamazoo promises to build a $500 million stadium, is that a bigger commitment than what Seattle did with the Sonics? This is a huge black eye for the League. Seattle will survive. I would look for them to get an NHL team, the market is too good to sit empty.

The whole thing leaves a bad taste in ones mouth. Stern says one thing. Stern says the exact opposite a few days ago. Either the Key Arena is or isn't good enough.

The league is not expanding any time soon. Clay Clay isn't going to have to pay the city the extra 30 million.

I don't know what the temperature in the region is for NHL Hockey but we could probably get a pretty good rivalry going with the team just to the north on the other side of the border. Is the NHL looking to expand? I think the NHL has problems of their own.

Since it's all about me. I'd be more likely to go to an NHL game than an NBA game. That's just me though.

Those talking heads at KJR are probably nervous. With no NBA team someone probably will lose their job. Not as much to talk about!
