Georgia vs. South Carolina

Bonus Play South Carolina

South Carolina enters this game as a home dog, and getting very little respect from lines-makers,something that hasn't happened since 2010 when their hosting an opponent. Coincidently they won that game against Alabama by a 35-21 count. After the loss to Texas A&M in week one, at home, Spurrier's side has lost some of it's luster, especially as far as the public is concerned. But in that opening game key offensive cog RB Mike Davis was not 100%, but now hes said to operating at full throttle, as was evident against East Carolina, which is bad news for opponents. South Carolina has won 35 of their last 39 home games and must not be underestimated in this spot. Im also not ready to admit that South Carolina can't generate a pass rush or slow Georgia RB Gurley like the media is telling us. With some injuries becoming noticeable among the Bulldogs wise receiver corps, reading the Georgia offense might be easier than many might expect. It must be noted that Georgia has scored 18 points in just one of its last nine visits to South Carolina, including six during coach Mark Richt's tenure.

Bulldogs are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. Gamecocks are 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Dating back to last season Georgia has failed to cover 9 of their L/12 overall.

Wyoming vs. Oregon

Bonus Play Oregon -43

Oregon had a huge win vs Michigan State last week and proved to everyone they are legit Title contenders. they now play a Wyoming team that struggles to score points. Look for this one to get ugly fast, and Mariota adds to his numbers for the Heisman trophy.

Kansas vs. Duke

Bonus Play Duke

Duke head coach David Cutcliffe is doing some magical things on the football field in Durahm. Quietly, the Blue Devils have posted an eye-opening 10-2 SU and 8-3 ATS record in their last 12 games and they should have no trouble picking up the win and cover in this non-conference battle.

One area where Coach Cutcliffe and the boys have played well is against teams outside of the powerful ACC Conference. In fact, in the regular season tackling a non-conference foe, Duke sports a solid 11-1 SU and 6-3 ATS record including a prosperous 8-0 SU and 4-1 ATS inside Wallace Wade Stadium. Please note: Those eight wins have come by an average of 27.6 points per game. Equally impressive, in their last 15 tries as a favorite, the Blue Devils have registered a strong 10-4-1 ATS mark including a juicy 7-1-1 ATS in this situation checking in off a straight up win.

We've got some pretty good home versus road dichotomy surrounding this game too. Kansas is one of the worst road teams in college football. The Jayhawks are a pitiful 17-73 SU and 33-56 ATS in their alst 90 games on foreign soil including a disturbing 11-29 ATS priced as a hefty dog of +15 or more. Also, in its last 17 road openers, KU holds a weak 3-14 SU and 7-10 ATS record including a stiff 2-9 SU and 4-7 ATS fighting without rest.

Blue Devils starting quarterback Anthony Boone improved to 12-0 SU in regular-season contests after knocking off Troy last Saturday. With recognition starting to trickle in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches polls, Boone and the boys know they can continue to climb with another impressive performance over the poor-traveling Jayhawks. Take Duke. Thank you and best of luck, Tom Stryker.

Nebraska vs. Fresno State

Bonus Play #201 Take Nebraska Cornhuskers over Fresno State Bulldogs (Saturday 10:30 pm CBS Sports Network)

Boy do the Bulldogs schedule difficult! That was the motto under former Coach Pat Hill and current coach Tim DeRuyter. Fresno State just does not have the talent this year for this brutal schedule. They were blown out by two PAC-12 teams that are offensive challenged and now face a high powered Nebraska running attack. Utah game up some garbage points to Fresno State last week but the Utah blitzed Fresno State like crazy and the Bulldogs looked terrible in the first quarter. Granted Nebraska laid an egg last week against an inferior opponent but they did rush FAU the week before and I see that happening again. Fresno State was falling apart last year down the stretch and things have started off terribly this season. The Bulldogs are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games.

USC vs. Boston College

Saturday Bonus Play USC -17 @ BC

BC has little chance here. Yes USC off a huge win, and yes they travel cross country. But this is a national TV Saturday Night so no early morning game for a West Coast team and how is BC going to score against this defense and or trade punches on the scoreboard. USC is tough in the middle on defense and that plays into USC's strength. PAC 12 wanting national exposure, and USC's coaches will not call off the dogs here as they want to impress. BC gave up 303 yards rushing to Pitt last week and their QB transfer supposed to be stuf Murphy, only managed 10 out of 28 through the air. USC Better in all areas, and although depth for USC an issue in some areas, they can handle BC by 3 TD's.

Georgia vs. South Carolina

Free Pick on Georgia Bulldogs -

This may seem like a lot to lay on the road in a big rivalry game like this, but I think Georgia is the class of the SEC East. I look for the Bulldogs to go into South Carolina and have no problem winning by at least a touchdown.

I just haven't been impressed at all with South Carolina in their first two games. They looked awful at home in their opener and had to rally to beat East Carolina last week. Georgia on the other hand knocked off a good Clemson team by 24-points.

Georgia also has a big advantage here coming off a bye. They have had a full two weeks to prepare for the Gamecocks and they have to licking their chops offensively. I expected South Carolina's defense to take a step back with the loss of a talent like Jadeveon Clowney, but I didn't think they would be this bad. After giving up a whipping 680 yards of total offense to Texas A&M, the Gamecocks allowed another 453 yards to East Carolina. They are allowing 5 yards/rush and 7.8 yards/pass, with opposing quarterbacks completing 71.7% of their attempts.

Not only do I look for Georgia's offense to play well, but I like their chances of keeping South Carolina's offense in check. The Bulldogs allowed just 291 yards of total offense against Clemson and completely shutdown the Tigers rushing attack. Clemson had just 88 rushing yards on 43 attempts (2.0 yards/carry).

South Carolina is just 4-13 ATS in their last 17 home games after allowing 6.75 or more yards/play, while Georgia is 24-12 ATS in their last 36 road games after outgaining their opponents by 125 or more total yards in their previous contest. Take Georgia!

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma

Bonus Play Oklahoma -20

Each team off to a 2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS start. The Vols’ victories came against rebuilding Utah St. and Ark St. in a win, no cover. These were both at home. Now, Tennessee must travel to Oklahoma with no RS in either their offensive or defensive line. Oklahoma, behind QB Knight, has been most impressive in defeating LA Tech (48-16) and Tulsa (52-7) (each of these teams won and covered their other games). In recording those victories, Oklahoma outgained LA Tech 436-245 and Tulsa 580-328, showing great offensive balance as well as defensive tenacity. With the ABC cameras whirring for this Saturday night Marquee Matchup, laying the big chalk is the only way to go!

Georgia Southern vs. Georgia Tech

1* Bonus Play Georgia Southern +17

I got Georgia Tech peeking to head towards their match up with Virginia Tech next week especially after Virginia Tech just got done defeating Ohio State on the road. Georgia Southern comes into this game they got 39 players going back to their hometown this you have a lot of people in the stands cheering. Georgia Southern is already a team that's proven they can play with the big boys and one at Florida at the end of last year and they only lost by one point at NC State earlier this year.

Georgia Tech runs the triple option which is always difficult to defend and practice for however Georgia Southern's office in previous years has been running the same offense. Now that they are running us different spread offense of players are practicing for that however many of the defenders are aware and know how to play against the triple option offense since they saw him practice so many times in years previous. They also would face offered and sit to Dell twice a year also run the triple option. Georgia Tech at the end of the day only returns while Georgia Southern will return 14 I'll take the points in this game.

Georgia vs. South Carolina

Bonus Play South Carolina +7

Georgia hasn't scored more than 20 points at Williams-Brice Stadium in 20 years, but the Bulldogs haven't always had Todd Gurley running the ball. The Heisman Trophy candidate leads the sixth-ranked Bulldogs into a key SEC East road contest against No. 23 South Carolina on Saturday. The Gamecocks have won the past two meetings at Williams-Brice and three of the past four matchups overall. The Gamecocks got star running back Mike Davis going in last week's 33-23 win over East Carolina, as he rushed for 101 yards for his eighth career 100-yard game. That balance is critical to helping quarterback Dylan Thompson settle into his starting role, which he has done nicely thus far, passing for 632 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions. The Bulldogs are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win and are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. The Gamecocks are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss. This National TV game will be on CBS at 3:30pm ET and it should be a close one so take the points with South Carolina at home.

'SEC-BIG12 Tussle'

The SEC takes on the Big 12 this Saturday, as Tennessee Volunteers (2-0, 1-1 ATS) visit Oklahoma Sooners (2-0, 1-1 ATS). Volunteers have been relatively efficient on offense this campaign scoring 36 points/game behind QB Worley's 260 passing yards/game, 5 TD's, 1 interception and it's ground game churning out 139 rushing yards/game with 3 majors. On the other side of the ball Volunteers hold their own allowing 13.0 PPG on 167 passing, 120.5 rushing yards/game. Oklahoma offense has had its way against a pair of inferior foes averaging 50 PPG on 508 yards/contest. QB Trevor Knight has completed 58.8 % of his passes for 552 yards, 3 TD's and 1 pick. Stoops' troops have amassed 222 rushing yards/game 9 TD's with the RB trio of Ford, Ross, Perine doing most of the damage producing 8 TD's on an average 6.4 yards per carry. Sooners are allowing 11.5 PPG on 212.5 passing and a messily 74 rushing yards/game. Butch Jones and his Tennessee team face a tough test at Oklahoma and are significant underdog for a reason (+20.5). Vols are just 2-12 SU the last fourteen on the road (5-8-1 ATS), 0-20 SU overall last twenty as underdogs (8-11-1 ATS), 0-7 SU, 1-6 ATS L3Y's taking 15 or more points losing by an average 32.7 PPG.

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma

NCAA FREE Winner Oklahoma

Sooners (-) over Volunteers- Tennessee has beaten-up two smaller schools in Utah State and Arkansas State by a combined 72-26 at home and now take to the road. Oklahoma has not fared well against the SEC going 1-7 ATS in their last eight meetings and yet they are virtually a three-touchdown favorite here. Look for the SOONERS to dominate.

Western Michigan vs. Idaho

COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE GAME OF THE WEEK

TODAY'S WINNER: IDAHO -3

Today we are laying the money on Idaho -3 points. Idaho is being lead by
freshman QB Matt Linehan, the son of NFL assistant Scott, who spends his days working with Dallas QB Tony Romo. Matt Linehan looked good last week, throwing 3 touchdowns versus La Monroe and totaled 324 yards passing. Both teams struggle with defense, but I have to give the edge to Idaho here. Lay the money on Idaho for your free Comp winner. Thank You

East Carolina at Virginia Tech 12:00PM

East Carolina

Edges - Pirates: 6-0 ATS last six away games; and 3-0 ATS after facing Gamecocks.? Hokies: 1-6 ATS Game Three of the season; and 1-4-1 ATS last six games in this series.? With Frank Beamer?s boys in off the huge win at Ohio State last Saturday night and looking dead ahead to a conference opening clash with Georgia Tech next week, look for Va Tech to fall to 1-12 ATS in games off a double-digit win in which they held an opponent to 21 or less points.? we recommend a 1-unit play on East Carolina.? Thank you and good luck as always.

West Virginia at Maryland 12:00PM

5* West Virginia

Reason: 5* Play on West Virginia. The only thing keeping West Virginia from being one of our premium selections is their obvious look-ahead spot to Oklahoma next week. That being said, we still believe the Mountaineers will have an easy go of it against an overmatched Maryland team that is not at all worthy of being listed as the favorite in this matchup.

Very impressed with WVU's loss but ATS cover against Alabama in their opener, and then not losing focus last week in a 54-0 shutout win against Towson. Not that Towson is a tough foe, but to hold them to 122 total yards in an obvious letdown spot shows us they will be focused on the task at hand this Saturday. Maryland has been untested thus far but takes a huge step up in class now, and we expect the better team to win and cover! 5* Play on West Virginia.

Churchill Downs - Race #7 - Post: 3:53pm - Maiden Special - 6.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $37,000 Class Rating: 85

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#2 MORNING BUZZ (ML=4/1)
#3 FAR RIGHT (ML=7/2)
#6 RISK PARITY (ML=3/1)

MORNING BUZZ - That 84 fig this colt ********** in his last clash tells me he's a chief player this time. After the event aboard this horse on June 5th, the rider is going to know the colt much better. I know the stable is serious today. The colt gets Lasix for the 1st time. FAR RIGHT - This colt finished well ahead of the show horse on May 9th. Those horses tend to run well next time out. This mount brings in a lot of dough per race around the track. I believe he will boost that total right here in this race. RISK PARITY - I think Churchill Downs players know a good thing when they see the rider/handler tandem of Goncalves and Amoss. Their winning pct together has been strong. Analyzers took note of this colt in his maiden race at Ellis Park, sending him off at low odds. Look for an increased ability in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 CURLINO (ML=4/1), #4 THIRTYSEVENLIVESON (ML=9/2), #1 DINGDINGDINGDING (ML=5/1),

CURLINO - Don't think that this colt has value at 4/1 this time around. THIRTYSEVENLIVESON - Trying to beat this one in today's event at the reward of 9/2. DINGDINGDINGDING - The rating last out doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's race. Mark this horse as a likely underlay.

#1A CROWN THY GOOD (ML=5/2)
#6 RELENTLESS RIDE (ML=3/1)

CROWN THY GOOD - This is a fairly classic handicapping angle. Play a pony that finished 2nd in a maiden race last time out but finished well clear of the 3rd horse. Believe in this pony. Coming off the pace, I think he'll be in a terrific spot to crush them in the stretch. Gelding's finish positions keep getting better with each race. Maybe today's the day. I like to wager on this angle, a pony coming back off a nice contest within the last thirty days. RELENTLESS RIDE - He finished 2nd July 30th, but was well in front of the show horse. I like to see consistency in a racehorse. Look at this gelding's PPs. Almost always in the money.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 SET TO MUSIC (ML=5/2), #2 SPRINGERS POINT (ML=9/2), #4 PASTAFAGIOLI (ML=6/1),

SET TO MUSIC - Doesn't seem inspiring to me after the lack of any type of closing ability on Aug 24th. SPRINGERS POINT - When scrutinizing today's Equibase class figure, he will have to record a much better speed fig than last time out to be competitive in this turf route. PASTAFAGIOLI - The result of sixth in the last event shows me that this horse may be getting out of condition. Earned a disappointing speed fig last out in a Maiden Special race on August 27th. Improbable to see an improved performance off of that rating.

#1 XCELLENCE

For you folks unfamiliar with local NYC geography, the Sands Point is named for the northernmost tip of the Cow Point Peninsula on Long Island's North Shore. Sands Point is bordered almost entirely by water - Long Island Sound to the north, Manhasset Bay to the west and Hempstead Harbor on the east. And for you trivia lovers ... in "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sands Point is referred to as "East Egg." Here in the 20th renewal of this graded stakes test ... #1 XCELLENCE, a British-bred entry, has produced "POWER RUN PERFORMANCES" in five straight starts, hitting the board in four, including a "POWER RUN WIN" in her 5th race back. #5 SEA QUEEN, a 4-1 shot, has also turned in five straight "POWER RUNS," hitting the board in three, including "POWER RUN WINS" found in her 2nd and 4th races back, which is indicative of a "Bounce Pattern" folks ... and the BoUnCe will be UP/POSITIVE this afternoon if this pattern continues.
