Today will not find us making an official announcement of the Bash. We have found ourselves stuck in unexpected red tape beyond our control, and we are unfortunately at the mercy of administrative processes. We were really hoping to have everything straightened out this morning, but no such luck. We apologise for being a pain in the rump.
We CAN tell you, however, that our choices are narrowed to the Flamingo and the Aladdin, and that the bash will definitely be on the weekend of August 17/18. We hope to have 100% confirmation by the end of this business week.
This year, to ensure our veteran posters have a fair crack at the free rooms, we are opening up the reservation process by date of Rx.com registration. The longer you've been here, the earlier you get to reserve your room. The specifics will be outlined with the hotel announcement.
In the meantime, for those of you with Bash Fever (Dante!), Wilheim is going to post a daily Rx Bash Earlybird Cash Giveaway contest. Correctly answer all questions correctly, and be eligible to win up to $3000!

In the mean time starting tomorrow I am going to be giving away at least $10,000 ahead of times to four lucky Rxers who are planning on attending this year's Bash.
I am going to post a daily 12 team parlay starting at the lowest prize of $1,000 and keep posting them until I give away at least $10,000 to be paid at the Reception Dinner on August 18th in Las Vegas. four $1,000 prizes, two $1,500 prizes and a $3,000 Grand Prize will be given away to Rxers who win the parlays. Who knows I may find some other benefactors to add to the prize money pool as the summers rolls on.
Don't worry if we don't any get winners right away I will make the parlays easier until I give away all of the money. All of the rules and details will be posted in the first parlay thread sometime miday on Wednesday.
