No prob. Riggs. Here's the deal. I think some of the bashers will piss you off enough for you to leave the board. For what it's worth, I value your contributions and would hate to see you go, therefore I just wanted another communication vehicle to you. Basically to follow your picks and learn some things from you. Hang tough. I don't understand the grief you're getting on this board, it's uncalled for.

Alright, I too have a short fuse tonight. Hadn't read your post about trying to fix things, I respect that. I do regret that post, not sure how you planned to have me thrown off, but perhaps you are on to something, and if so it is generous of you to share. I officially apologize, hope your system gets back on the beam.:103631605

A friend of mine asked me to look at this post to see what I think. I will monitor your theory for awhile before I can tell if I think it has any promise. Usually if a line looks way off, there is a reason and Vegas is usually right. They don't have those big nice hotels by giving money away. You posted two things earlier that seem to conflict. One is you state this theory was developed by using advanced math theories yet you also state play all of the games and never use parlays. If you can hit anything close to the stated percentage of 70% then you are leaving tons of $$$ at the casino every night that you could have won by playing parlays. A strong mathematical mind would see it in a minute. Good Luck On Your Theory. I always appreciate someone at least attempting to think outside the box.

Apology accepted! As for throwing you off. The beautiful thing about this whole entire forum is that the moderators don't let things get out of hand. You want someone off you're thread? Just ask for it and that person get's a warning and if he persists, he's off. It's just that simple. That was one of the barganing chips it took to get me here. Over at other places you have to pay for that kind of service. Anyhoo, gotta get back to crackin' this thing, thanks for the MANLY post brother, and I won't forget it.

Are you kidding me? Parlays? Why on earth would I do that to myself? Professional Handicappers that have any kind of bankroll i.e (15 unit plays) didn't get there by playing into the casino's hands. You confuse me. As I was beginning to read you're post, I thought for a quick half second that you might be somewhat intelligent. As I finnished the post, I hoped to god a newbe was not up this late to see it. In fact, I will ask the moderator to delete your post in fear that someone that might be desperate, might start to think like you. Please, do me a favor. Do not ever use the word parlay on my threads. I mean that please. I wish you the best of luck and at some point, I will pray for you.

hey, tough night Riggs. Good thing for me, there were only 3 games. Since there was a bettable line on the all star game, do you think that should have counted as a day?

(AS game o/u opened at 260 obviously much higher than league avg and went way UNDER)

I'm a totals expert dumb dumb......I'm in the business to know the line B-4 they come out! So take that site that's barely in business, and send it to someone that REALLY needs it. What a moron......

I've already talked about that in a previous post. That's where the confusion is coming from. You see, Vegas is playing chess with me right now, and they just took my queen. But I still have both Bishops, my King, and both my rooks! The great thing about my formula is, it only takes a day or two to find Vegas' queen and put them in check mate. The numbers don't lie. She (Vegas) is about to reveal herself any day now. This is now the third day after the break.

You must obviously not know about things like expected value. You actually only have to hit a slightly higher percentage than 52.38% and then your expected value for playing parlays is higher than your expected value playing straight bets. There are added risks but not from a mathematical standpoint. Most of the added risks come from emotional standpoints. let me take just 60% as the correct right, over 10% less than you are currently hitting according to your theory. .6x.6=36% parlays that are winners. Say you place 100 bets at $1. you lose $64 and win 36x2.6=$93.60 for a net profit of $29.60. $29.60/100 is an expected value of 0.29 for every dollar wagered. Place 100 straight bet, same scenario, you win 60x.10/11=$54.55. $54.55-40 losers = $14.55/100 gives me an expected value of 0.1455 for every dollar wagered. They way I see it you would make twice as much!!!! You can kindly admit you were wrong. By the way I have had articles published on money management and gambling. I have been invited in the past to be a guest on radio shows across the country in regards to sports gambling. I think I know what I am talking about. So don't insult me without considering the facts.

Don't insult you till I have considered the facts? Sir, we all have read the books on EXPECTED VALUE! I started reading them some 20 years ago! Hell, every beginner starts off losing parlay's. The point you are missing is, what they do to our heart's. They make us all ill and unhealthy. Scoreboard watching with parlays, is the most dangerous thing you can do to your insides. How can you not know this? It create's and breads ulcers, divorce, child neglect, child and spousal abuse, eviction and homelessness. Our bodies have a built in immune system to fight off diseases, but not parlay scoreboard watching. It is killing more gamblers then smoking. In a study done by gamblers anonymous some 15 years ago, parlay betters were the number one killer in suicide amongst the gambling world! It rips you're heart out you FOOL!!!!! I know what IM talking about because I too belong to a traveling Handicapping tour that goes all over the country. Not just some local radio station. I can only hope you deviate to some other thread. Expected value.....what a joke!

Further more, I have a Mathmatics degree of science. I think I know just a little bit about chance and the percentage world. How do you think I came up with this UNBELIEVABLE formula? By calculating the chances of me hitting a three game parlay? Not on you're life! I happen to like my heart just the way it is(healthy)

Riggs-

I am really disappointed in your attitude towards Northern Star as I asked him to stop by and told him I thought you might have uncovered something. He has been around sports betting for a long time and it would do you well to consider his input, all he is doing is trying to help you out. I don't know what your qualifications are or what degrees you have, but I do know what his are and they are impressive.

If you can't see the value in utilizing two team parlays when hitting 70% (as you claim to be) you are misrepresenting your mathmatical background. What the hell is a Mathmatical degree in Science anyway? Is that kind of like a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics? To put it simply, if you take a ten play day and straight bet 5.5 units to win 5 you will go 7-3 winning 18.5 units (35-16.5=18.5). If you would instead take these same 10 plays and play 45 two team parlays for 1.2 units per play (each possible combination with an overall risk of only 54 units) you would go 21-24. This would be paying +260 ,so you would win just about double your straight bet total, winning a total of 36.72 Units (21*1.2*2.6)-(24*1.2)=36.72. If you seriously can't see the value in this I have to question your mental capacity.

I do see some promise in the correlation you have discovered, but I feel sorry for you as you really have no idea why it may be occuring.

I am fairly new to the Rx but I firmly believe that you should show respect to people, whether it be over the internet or in person. This is something you obviously have yet to learn. Calling people morons or dummies isn't going to get you very far. You have to show respect to get respect and you have come up wanting in that regard.

Things like talking about 15 unit plays like it is a big deal, seemingly not taking into account that a unit can be any amount of money, make me think that you are fairly new to sports betting. I also find it hard to believe that you are a travelling handicapper. If this were true you wouldn't treat the people on here, who would be your customers, like crap. I will say that if you do ever travel through Minnesota post a note on here. I would love to talk shop with you, realizing that I may have to find a couple guys to help me extract your head from your @$$ first, which in itself could be a huge job seeing how big your head seems to be getting.

Don't worry about me littering "your" thread (that's a joke in itself) anymore. I believe everyone at the Rx has gotten all you have to give. You are now the Rx's equivalent of a used up $5 whore.

Riggs, don't let the 0-3 night get to you, or these guys that are bashing you. If you had gone 2-1 or 3-0, they would have been applauding you but understand that this is part of the process.

Keep up the good work man.

You will find success. Just be patient.

Good luck.

Riggs, I started reading from the last post moving up. I told you yesterday even if you are bashed, we will not tolerate it back. You want to fight back, you will get same treatment as the bashers. I asked you yesterday to ignore and contact mods. I asked that you not bash back and to let us handle. You agreed. Just hours later you are at it again.

Ignore it and it will go away. You continue with the name calling, you will go away.

Hope we are getting somewhere.

Okay, how close are we to April 1st (April fools day), that would be the only explanation for this ding-dong's posts. How in the world can someone who claims to have some knowledge of the math associated with sports gambling make such bizarre statements relating to parlays?

Lets do a little math, based on his assumptions of 70% (of course I question that, but let's put that aside for a while). If there were 100 games (positive/negitative or whatever) that he thinks would win at a 70% win rate, and you bet them at $100/$191 you would have $10000 invested. If you won 70% of them you would collect $13370 or a net of 33.7%, not bad. Now if we put those same games into 3 team parlays (at 6.5 to 1) at $100/$750, we would have $3300 invested. Based on his win rate of 70%, we would win 11.3% (70%x70%x7o%=34.30%). Cashing 11.3x$750=$8475-$3300=$5175 net or a whopping 157% ROR.

Bottom line, this guy is fun to read, but I suspect the books in Vegas would be glad to send a limo to pick him up anytime!

Let's see, the "true line" according to him is 179, but the books hung 186, but it's a "positive week" so do we go under? Hell no, you dummy, aren't you listening, I said "positive" so even if the line should be 179 we go over!

Give me a break, and show this clown to the keno pit!

My final reply on this subject because it is apparent that your mind is made up and the can't look at facts objectively. I have been gambling for over 30 years and I am pretty sure I know what is going on. Money management is one of the keys to successful gambling. Picking winners is the other major key to winning. If I could find someone who could consitently pick 60% winners the amount of money to be made would be nearly endless, the hard part would be getting wagers down. (There is only one person or service I have ever seen do that on a consistent basis and that was a service by the name of Underdog, my joke was that he had the last three letters wrong and he was just "under god" in his picks). If I had the last 30 years to do over in sports gambling I would just played his picks and no others and made major wager on his one pro and college football game each saturday and sunday) If there was someone hitting 60% I would make $$ by playing parlays. If you read my previous post the risk of playing parlays is not mathematical, it is emotional. You could lose 20 parlays in a row and from a pyschological standpoint it takes a toll, you could then follow it up with 10 winners in a row and from a financial standpoint be up more $$. The hard part is staying the course. If you are familar with the Kelly Criterion which is a % of bankroll money management system, I developed off shoots of that theory to mimic the Kelly Criterion when you have more than one game going off at the same time. Part of that process uses, 2 and possibly 3 team parlays to help accomplish the goal.
In regards to my abilities, I scored in the top one tenth of one percent in math on my college entrance test ( a perfect score ), I received a full ride scholarship, I have an aerospace engineering degree and I will probably be the only person you know that has had information so good that they couldn't get a $5 (grocery store dollars that is) bet accepted at a major sportsbook in Las Vegas. Let me know when Ceasar Palace or some other major sportsbook tells you "I am sorry sir but we don't want you action on a $5 bet" (I think it would have paid about $50)
One final note on your theory, good luck I hope it works out for you but I have seen tons of people in 30 plus years touting they have the golden goose and I have yet to see the golden goose. I think they are mythical. In my mind a superstar in the sports handicapping world can hit 56% consistently and those are very rare. The best handicappers specialize in one sport and one thing (for instance totals in football) and typically they are not as good in say basketball, baseball or football side. My guess is you don't have the golden goose but good luck trying to prove to me and others you do. You need to be willing to listen to other opinions there are alot of people on this sight with some great ideas and if they are willing to share them everyone can benefit. Name calling and insults are not productive, go reads some posts from members like Old Man Ted and you will see an example of someone who listens to others ideas and can respectfully agree and disagree. It is much more productive.

Thanks, General, for moving this.

I have no interest in further exchanges as you're not a true communicator or one interested in dissecting or advancing ideas, Riggs. You are NOT short in intelligence, but in a certain kind of discipline and detachment and, oh yes, TACT. Even bullies back off on occasion.

Let the record show that I entered your thread with questions and doubts BEFORE last night's games started.
