What I hate are homosexuals just going into businesses to see if they'll be catered to with no intention of actually hiring the company. Then, when the owner says "no" they run to the press and file a lawsuit.

It's like they have nothing else to do with their lives each day.

Well making good choices isn't something they do well

This thread just keeps getting dumber and dumber. Some people just don't get it. This isn't just about pizza and cake. What about EMS workers, doctors etc? There are other service providers out there besides bakers...

So save your scorn and outrage for them rather and when that comes it'll get more traction. You lose people making a big deal out of trivial bullshit like a pizza place catering a gay wedding.

I think this story already has traction. And it always starts somewhere..

LOL, most states have laws on the books saying doctors/EMS workers/average citizens are required to help a person in immediate danger of death or serious bodily harm. It's called the "Good Samaritan Law."

Those kinds of people are not being asked to cater a gay wedding. They're being asked to save a life. I think there's a bit of a difference in the two.

Make that a 16 year old girl who responded. That caused such a firestorm that her dad had to close the place down and go into hiding. People were jamming the phone lines with threats and bogus orders.

Why do gay rights count but Christian (or Jewish, or Muslim) rights not count?

This Country was founded on freedom of religion not freedom of gays.

Never ever heard of a doctor being asked to provide medical checkups at a wedding LOL.

That's what I mean. Guy and his family can't have their own opinion or people will threaten them and their family until they have to close their business.

What these people did in response to this pizza place is embarrassing.

I'd probably make doctors refusing services the central aspect of protest and outrage. Not a pizza place not catering a wedding. It is just so meaningless it makes those advocating for gays look extremely petty and stupid.

Come on, man. You think we let a few pizza places and bakeries stop catering gay weddings and all of the sudden Dr.'s and EMS workers will be letting gay people die in the streets? Also, as a gay person wouldn't rather know what businesses are "anti-gay" so that you could take your business someplace else?

Nobody is gonna be able to clear the $ these people are. It pays to be first but thats gotta be tempting to wanna find a media outlet and say you also won't serve gays pizza at weddings.

I'm glad the story has traction, because it makes the gay nazis look terrible - especially when it incites bull dykes and other
fag activists to try and organize the fag mobs to come burn it down.

On the GoFund page it says Dana Loesch or her show started the page to get donations and there is a youtube video of her talking about it.

Cmon she can't be that against gays, she is dressed like a lesbian.

Openly gay conservative radio host Tammy Bruce on Thursday cautioned members of the LGBT community angry over Indiana’s religious freedom law against becoming the very “bullies” and “fascists” the gay community has been working for generations to overcome.

Appearing on “Fox & Friends,” Bruce said the threats made against a now-closed Indiana pizzeria after its owners said they wouldn’t cater gay weddings is “another case of the mob … taking over the situation here.”
“For me, as a gay woman, it remains shocking,” Bruce said. “You sit back and watch this frenzy, like a wolf pack, going after survivors in a way … a pizza shop. And if there’s anyone in the world who should understand the vulnerability of being a minority, of being somebody that maybe others don’t understand or relate to, the vulnerability about work and jobs, being able to live your life as you see fit, it’s the gay community.”
Bruce chided LGBT activists for not remembering where they came from: “For me to turn around in the 21st century and see that this is what we were fighting for, so we could condemn people who are different, and with whom we disagree — it is the antithesis of what every civil rights movement was about.”
She compared the fervor over the Indiana law to the hostility and boycotts against Chick-fil-A in 2012 after its chief operating officer spoke out about his opposition to gay marriage.
“I think that when you see a mob operating, there’s fear and you tend to retreat,” Bruce said. “We saw this with Chick-fil-A. Everybody came to Chick-fil-A’s defense when they were under attack by fascists, by bullies … the gay liberals have turned into bullies, when our work is to stop that kind of behavior.”
Bruce insisted that rather than battling people of faith, the LGBT community should be doing the opposite: “To defend especially those under attack like Christians is exactly what we should be doing.”

You have to love this goofy logic:

State compels you to do something you do not wish to do and sincerely object to = not discrimination

Freedom of association = discrimination

Again, the sun is setting on America. Enjoy the decline. It is going to suck.

If a doctor refuses service to a gay lesbian couple expecting a baby, the chances of an EMS worker out there not giving his/her 100% effort to care for or save life of a gay person are just as good. This subject is still a slippery slope, it doesn't matter if it's a business or the medical field. Why do folks still worry about who other folks sleep with? This is 2015 for God's sake. And of course the Republicans back this. Nobody picks losing positions these days quite like the GOP.

I don't know why I bother because people are going to cling to their ignorance, but RFRA is a three-prong test.

And if you are saying that Indiana's law enabled discrimination, you're either stupid or lying. There is no other answer.
