Doug, I thought you both visit and post at FP?:think2:

I look at the site periodically, post rarely ( Doug21). I can easily miss a thread there.

So, I guess this does require Ice to move there ? That probably is not a good thing for ICE. He seems to have too much going on in MI ?

Iceman is not near creative enough to to this from what he has shown so far. He relies on other people's knowledge to make money, which is definately a good thing, but what he does and being creative and bright enough to be a great poker player are two completely different things. He could learn to be a decent ABC poker player as anyone can. But there are far better candidates for this job than Iceman from what he has shown this board. And don't take this the wrong way Ice, your patience and grinding nature are not negative traits.
With your number of post's, it completly amazes me that your ignorance of his dedication and complete discipline to beating the sports betting industry is far above 99% of the members here in this forum. I have witnessed 8 straight winning month's from ice, and NEVER has he bregged or patted himself on the back about it. If anything he has gone way out of his way to help people on how to win at this game. His dedication to winning and sharing knowledge is barnone compared to other poster's on here who are mainly negative in their opinions. He treat's all of his business adventures with complete professionalism. Fezzik could have not found a better canidate for this position. You might want to start paying attention to those that not only know how to win, but more importantly, are willing to share it with you. Best of luck.

I can tell you this fez, he probally has the best poker face out there. His expression NEVER changes whether he win's a bet or loses one. It is all the same in his eye's. I believe you both will benefit from this. Just keep me in mind when you go to build your mansions. It is what I do. Good luck!

Whether or not you think Iceman and/or Fezzik is square it will be nonetheless an interesting experiment in Poker "Basic Strategy" and I look forward to the results.

i can tell you this, Ice and Fezz both have good intentions. That being said, it will end in disaster. i wish luck to both of them, knowing it is futile.

I would like to bet you that they win. Both have great memories, both are great with numbers, but most of all they both have the discipline that only winning gamblers HAVE to have.

Didn't work for Illini.

I think there is a minimal amount to be made at the lower levels. Go up in stakes, and tougher players.

A lot of time at odd hours would also have to go in. I don't think I'd want to play daily.

Stubby black hair. He shaves his own head. I don't know why he does it either. I guess he wwould rather use the 12 bucks to gamble with..lol.

I do the same... have wife cut it off every month or so, used to pay a barber, but you can't screw up a buzz cut.

I have a lot of respect for you, Iceman. You are disciplined, you are hungry, you win, and you help others. I think your greatest trait is you are humble. You admitted that you can't cap, and your persistence led you to find a way to win anyway. That is to be admired. I think that Fezzik would have a hard time finding a better candidate.

All that being said, I think it would be a big mistake to do this. You make 6 figures at your job. If you just kept working for 10-20 more years, put $30K a year into retirement accounts, continued to grind away in sportsbetting and increasing your bet size gradually, you'd be comfortably retired in 10-20 years. And you would have a lot of fun along the way with your sportsbetting. With your drive and hunger, you could easily learn to read charts and trade stocks and options, and make a killing doing that. A high income coupled with your personality is a recipe for extreme wealth in a fairly short amount of time. Why give that up to play poker? Sure, Vegas and poker are the sexy choice, but I can tell you from experience that it's not what it's cracked up to be. You can play poker anytime you want online, Detroit, Vegas on weekends. And it will still be fun. It won't be fun if you're playing 10 hours a day in Vegas with drunk people. You'll have 3 hour stretches with nothing but 4,9 as hole cards. You'll have a lot of losing days. You'll be living in Vegas......the paradise of the world that is nothing but a facade. Living there, you will see the darkness that lies just below the surface, that tourists don't often see. Once the facade is removed, it becomes a very depressing place. The opportunity cost of moving there is too much to give up, in my humble opinion. Staying where you are is not the exciting decision to make, but it probably is the right one. I say trade stocks and bet sports, and use your wealth to take vacations to Vegas. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

A sharp post by Illini, no doubt.

As far as "disaster", this has the potential to be an opportunity cost disaster, no doubt. We need to make enough to make this worhwhile.

Winning will be easy. But we could win by putting Mr. Ice in at the local Fatburger.

I will choose my guy tomorrow night. We will keep all posted. I have several other excellent candidates. We will see what transpires.

Couldn't have said it better...I don't know Iceman, but from his posts he seems like he would go above and beyond in anything he does....with that said, I can't imagine this poker thing working out or being worth your while. The time and effort you put into handicapping you could turn 10x profits in the markets. Its hard to make money in the markets but find something you like, stocks, futures, comods, bonds etc. I suggest opening up an Interactive Brokers account and look at all the options they have and have fun....But good luck in whatever you do, I would be glad to hire you/be your partner.
