I think it was pretty obvious how he knocked her out without the video. The league and the Ravens should've cracked him with a longer suspension or cut him from the start. This video shouldn't have mattered.

The fact that it doesn't occur to you why the video matters - again Rice (and his wife) lied about what happened - is quite funny.

The NFL and the Ravens saw this video as a way to change the narrative from "wife beater gets 2 games, adderrall user gets 4 games" and took it. It's pathetic. Not so sure if a video would have convicted OJ. That jury was "acebb" type stupid.

The video matters because you actually can see the knockout but there is a reasonable assumption in the 1st video and ravens should have cut him right away.

It's funny you say that. The NFL paying TMZ to release the video was actually one of the first thoughts I had. Roger looked like a moron only giving him 2 games and this was pretty much his only chance at saving face.

I am sure you've seen or heard about domestic violence cases where the wife refuses to press charges after the cops arrive. My guess is she made it out be less than it was, when she and Rice were interviewed by the league. When the video came out, the story was obviously not true. That is my guess.

I'd imagine his NFL career is probably over. Between this video and probably only having a shelf life of 3 more years as a running back with lots of mileage. I doubt any time will take a chance.

If same exact situation happened with Andrew Luck he would 100% be back in the league within two years. Probably wouldn't get cut in the first place.
