Notice how in post 1 they used the term ratings have gone down since the first game back from corona ?
The little fact that OP left out was the baseline for that statement is the highest ratings in over 20 years .
Sure if you going to use that as your measuring stick yes they did go down .
But the ratings compared to the same period last year they are way up .
See how people tell stories ?
now let’s continue on in our made up universe of our own creation and let’s ignore those facts .
Chop, how do you compare NBA ratings to "the same time last year"
I'm guessing since they would gave been zero last August, there's only one direction to go, that's up.
For obvious reasons, comparing to previous years is totally irrelevant to begin with. In terms of alternative entertainment which has been minimized, hunger for restart and the aforementioned timing, it's a whole new world.
I know this much, I find their behavior appalling and I've only watched the last three minutes of the C's vs Bucks. I'm a huge sports fan, but I've decided to continue on with my pandemic viewing trends
And I'm not alone, simply not plausible
What will be interesting is to watch ratings going forward, their direction matters, as does how to they compare with expectations
As you know, money talks, time will tell
