Dru,
Does Cascade "buy back"? Or was purely your own play?

Oh, and did Rio give you the "Free 1/2" point?

Thanks.

You could have said, hey Lenny, let me get down at Rio first, should take less than a minute. Then I will go to 37. At least you would still have an account there. Right?

Cascade Dru,

Sorry for the troubles. I figure this is all a joke. I hope it is a joke. Hard to imagine you bringing this to the forum if not. But, if not, I would suggest a nice apology for fukin with them and then they will reinstate you.

Good luck & have a nice evening

BTW, I do think you can watch the board, watch games, talk on phone, and place bets

Purley my own bet. Like I said, My sick-o-type action has nothing to do with Cascade. Everyone I play with knows it.

im confused as usual.

Did a real person from Cascade do this or is this some sort of joke to make a point. Is it really Lenny and his Cascade partner who called RIO and asked for this Monday night game total?

If so why is CASCADE wagering at all? And why this wierd tattle tale story? who cares.

OR am i missing some inside joke in this thread?

No offense General, But are you nuts. I call up a sportsbook, they tell me the game I ask for is on hold, they return to the phone by tell me that the game I am asking for has a line of -5 and 38. I then ask for my wagers. Then after the clerk yells out the bet on the lines that the Linesfollower told him to tell me, TOLD HIM TO TELL ME, "TELL DRU THAT THE LINE ON THE BUCCS GAME IS 5 and 38" I am fukin with them. they assume I am going to bet the favorite so they dry move the game to 5 and I have to say sorry. I dont want to bet there anymore.

No one seems to understand. I am posting all of this as a player. I wish I didn't enjoy betting on games as do all of you, but outside of working for Cascade, I also enjoy the occasional wager. Once again, this has nothing to do with Lenny. This is a problem that happened to me on my own free time trying to bet a football game. Trying to bet an NFL game. can you believe it.

Dru, I wouldn't take this situation to personally. Sometimes in the heat of the battle BM's get a little hot under the collar. If you were a square I would see your point alittle better. Also, as for putting the number on hold, I can remember when cascade used to do it all the time. I do big business with both Cascade and Rio and I like Cascade more than Rio but hey an out is an out, sleep on it, and I am sure everyone will simmer down. It was a wus move on his part, I agree.

Once again, Cascade has nothing to do with this. But since you brought it up, Cascade does hold games, but when the game is clear, and the boss tells the clerk the new line, the clerk reads the new line, and the player bets the new line that the boss told the clerk to tell the player, Cascade never once told the player, "Just kidding, you can't really have that line we just told you". And if we mess up, we write the bet anyway.

I agree with everything you stated. I know you guys are honorable to your numbers. 100%. He was definately in the wrong. He can't win if he doesn't write. It was a total wus move. I ran the line history from Rio and he did indeed show a "5" and '38"

"I was sitting here with Lenny looking at next weeks NFL and I told Lenny that I thought the Monday night total was to high. Colts/Buccs. Lenny told me, go ahead and drop it to 37 and watch everyone move the line after us. A couple seconds later, Cris moved to 37.5".

That is how Cascade got involved, you admit being the one to initiate the move on under 38 in the game by moving your line to 37. If you left that part out of your story and kept it personal between you and RIO, Cascade would have never been involved.

If Lenny taking my opinion and moving his line to 37, then me calling Rio to make a bet initiated all of this, then all the bookmakers who moved off my opinion are all in trouble because I am a losing player. I called one place. that was it. I wasn't looking to bet a ton on the game. I wanted to make a bet. Thats it. A player making a bet, a losing player at that, shouldn't have so much trouble. If a sportsbook doesn't want to take a bet, then close shop.

Somw of the responses you have received here are almost as comical as Rio's initital reaction to your bet and their reply here. This is a simple case of someone wanting to make a limit bet, being thrown a bone, being chased and then being insulted here. If Rio hung the number then you, me, shrink, pat, krackman or anyone else should be allowed to make a limit bet. I do not know Rio so I do not know what their policy is with respect to taking limit bets but, judging by their reaction, they must think that you have tomorrow's newspaper. This absurdity at its finest. The questions with respect to what you were doing with your time and whether you should have played first and then moved your number are just as absurd. Anybody who has played at Cascade knows that their lines are original and they are as professional a shop as there is in the business. They would never jerk someone around like Rio did to Dru.
